Theatrhythm Final Fantasy

The Theatrhythm series of games for Square Enix is an interesting spin-off that holds a lot of potential. Over its long run, Square has produced countless memorable soundtracks to accompany its games, and somebody finally got the bright idea to make a rhythm game focused entirely on this music. While the two that have released in the west are based on the Final Fantasy series, there was also a Japan-only release that featured music from the Dragon Quest games.

Ichiro Hazama - the producer of the Theatrhythm games - was featured in this month's issue of Nintendo Dream and he had a few comments on the Theatrhythm games. While he didn't confirm that another one is on its way, he seems very open to the idea and says that he has plans.

This is Hazama from Square Enix. Last year at this place, I said 'we'll keep continuing Theatrhythm from hereafter too!'. Well then, I wonder how about next year['s continuity]. Personally, I still want to continue, and everyday I have been devising various plans. I'm full with a feeling to do something to make it happen, so I'll be glad if you can wait with anticipation. With that being said, please keep supporting [the series] as usual from hereafter too!

What of you think? Would you like to see another Theatrhythm? Which series do you think another entry could focus on? Drop us a comment in the section below.
