So liking comments will be behind a paywall? Not good.

I am willing to pay something extra, as I visit Nintendolife and Pushsquare on a daily basis, but feel the perks of a paid account are not worth it. I would love some QOL additions (like a better mobile experience) or exclusive content/deals for subscribers.

@Happyhippohat Thanks for this link, I did not know the contract was publicly available. This gives a little bit more insight on what was agreed on.

I still think Conrad could have done more to please the people who bought his game, even though the relationship with the publisher went sour. Taking it publicly is not always the best course of action. We'll see how this plays out.

While I do support the developer in gaining control over his own creation, it does sound like there is more to this story than he likes us to believe... it is clear that both parties handled the situation poorly.

Why did the dev not work with the publisher to get these bugs fixed after release, before he knew they were going to hold back on payment? Did the publisher actually breach contract by releasing the game with bugs? The dev is responsible for a polished game, not the publisher.

That said, I think Digerati is a ***** publisher. I saw the video in December and some immature comments from them on Twitter and do not like how they handled this either. Best end to this would be if both parties can settle these disputes on their own. Conrad should get full control over the game and get time to fix these issues... Digerati should pay him according to contract and work together on a roadmap.
