I'm late to the game here and I just want to say one thing...I'm glad Nintendo is winning.

If it runs better than the HD version I'm here for it. Since its included with my extended membership. I'm here for it. Are people only wanting the HD version because they don't like it being locked behind a paywall. Or maybe they don't have a Switch 2. or maybe they think clay/smooth looking version of the HD version is just better?

As cool as it looks has me wondering why it cost so much.

Both are very good games aimed at two different demographics. Truth be told GTA 5 would have died a long time if it wasn't for the RP scene. I don't hear of people getting together anymore to play GTA together but MK you create frienemies for EVER!

I might have to buy this just because of the virtual vs physical battle rages on.

This might be just me being old head and have grown up with the industry. As I get older, I find myself being interested in other things besides gaming. I can still put in the 3 hours or more, but I must really really like the game. With my hobby getting more expensive I might find myself becoming a pure casual. Just life, I guess.

Well, I'm not surprised by it because of the scale of the game and no information up to this point. Now call it tin foil hat but the game would have come out this year if it was not Nintendo jump starting the price increase to games. With GTA already expected to be a BILL the extra time gives everyone to adjust to the new norm. Either way it is going to sell because well...its GTA. I won't be on that boat when it comes out.

Truth be told I've never seen the movies just the commercials. With that being said I'm already used to the design change and kinda prefer it. I forgot what the OG design looked like and seeing them side by side...old OG design looks OLD almost TOO OLD.

Well, if they tried to stop forcing money grabbing games down our throats.

Yeah, I got my order in at Best Buy last night. Waited in that line for about 15-30 mins before the page refreshed. I was in line for the base console and the bundled...the bundled refreshed first and that was the one I picked. I was going to get the base model but can't be picky in these types of situations.
I tried target first and that was crap because it would not let me checkout so I gave up. I tried Walmart and got in line and when it was my turn, I just let the timer go because Best Buy order was already in.

And they did it again. Nice

I enjoyed the first game and put quite a few hours into it. I know I'm going to enjoy this too as well. Getting this day one.

Call me an old head but I stop trying to sell people on consoles, hybrid devices, and ecosystems. Do or buy what makes you happy.

The only people who care about the argument are people who feel they are getting flack for owning or wanting a specific device. This usually includes gaming journalist, streamers and their followers, and usually youngins' who don't have anything else going on.

For me specifically it will come down the games I want to play. That tends to be Nintendo IPs. Sure, I can buy bundles after bundles of games and never play them once...how is that sensible?

Eh, is it worth the 80 bucks? Not really in my opinion. Probably just an added cost so they can try to pay for the "discord for families" gimmick.

Eh, its fine. Never did like CP as a concept but this does raise the question IF the next Witcher will run. I doubt it but I didn't expect Witcher 3 to run on the OG Switch either.

Yeah, I don't know why people try to look at Nintendo as the weird gimmick stepchild. All gimmicks come to an end and the company can no longer carry the burden of the hardware because EVERYONE moves on. No one wants a remote controller anymore or 3D or haptic feedback motorized triggers.

The game that got me into Zelda and I look forward to playing it again. With that said the QoL stuff in the HD version does help but it wasn't mind blown type stuff. I do like the cel-shading in this GC version thought.

Just like what people already pointed out...Working 2 to 3 jobs just to afford gaming nowadays. I member back in my day I just needed a summer job and BAM I could get a console.

I can't help but think Doug Bowser is behind this. Western influence capitalism why? because line must go up. I used to defend Nintendo because yes you did get a WHOLE package experience with a game. Now the package is split between downloads. I can see why people thought they were getting the shaft when ToTK came out.

it was always an option... they held the HD because they needed something to sell memberships for GameCube.

No but the price for admission is one of the highest I tell ya what.

I expect its worth 100 now and with paid DLC. "Free DLC" if you have the extended Nintendo online service.

This launch is going to be the worst/ugliest launch ever. It's even got the admin disabling comments.

Good Good i was wondering about this. Now if they really wanted it to taste like the switch 2. The flavor of the game cartridge is something in the game. Example: mario = mario's sweating feet after beating a level. Kirby = Bad breath because of all the things he sucks up.

I don't play a lot of racing games for the analog (the CORRECT way of spelling it) trigger. Other than that, I'm happy for the extra buttons. Especially for the games always wanting the player to click the thumb sticks all the time.

I pressed my C button by accident... sorry you saw me without pants. I'm assuming that the dock has 2 USB on the side of it?
