Re: Reggie on Wii U Support Going Forward

MrWarner14

@YellowFighter Nah. The virtual boy is easily the worst. It was embarrassingly rushed and only had a few games.

The Wii U actually had a good library of games, great internet browser and Miiverse (occasionally).

Re: Talking Point: Considering the Paid Online Service for the Nintendo Switch

MrWarner14

I want to hope their online games can be more stable this time and not crash on me at times. The retro game rental service sounds kind of absurd but let's see what happens when the Switch comes out.

I want the system to do well. In an age where Sony and Microsoft are dominating the industry, this is Nintendo's chance to make amends for the under-selling Wii U.

Re: Nintendo Switch Won't Have Miiverse Or StreetPass

MrWarner14

Despite the fun drawings and hilarious messages Miiverse has provided, I'm not surprised. The service somehow became more restrictive and rather off-putting at times. I hope they can remedy that with something better though.

Never bothered much with StreetPass but I can see why others like it...

Re: Persona 5 Will Not Be Coming to the Switch

MrWarner14

He didn't need to be jerk about it. Also, it was obvious they weren't coming to the Switch. They're Sony exclusive games. Stop building false "hype" by making assumptions. It's rather embarrassing at this point and only creates unneeded hatred of games that need love too, not just Nintendo games.

Re: Feature: Reflecting on Four Years of the Wii U

MrWarner14

I remember getting my Wii U on Christmas Day back in 2014. I had waited to get the system since I was initially hesitant. However, after finally playing Mario Kart 8 with some friends when one of them brought it over, I just knew I had to get one. So I saved up a lot of money for it and to this day, I'm so glad I've spent so much time on the system. It's a shame though it had such horrible marketing.

Re: Editorial: The Wii U Has Been Nintendo's Lowest Selling Home Console; It Deserved Better

MrWarner14

I'd rather have sequels on the Switch than lazy ports. Splatoon already has a large user-base on the Wii U still playing it so it wouldn't make any sense to abandon the Wii U audience that had been playing it from the beginning.

I also feel a similar way towards Smash 4. I would rather Nintendo make a sequel that expands upon the fighting cast, adds a story mode and fix some issues with the mechanics and modes that people were annoyed by. A lazy port (even if it were a "complete edition" of Smash 4 or any game for that matter with DLC) would most likely be considered a rip-off to many people who did buy those games before and they would probably be put off by the decision.

By the way, I loved the Wii U but it REALLY needed better marketing and probably a less silly name.
