Mother 3

Well, even a broken clock is right twice a day, eh? Many of you no doubt will recall rumours from last February in which Mother 3 was reported to be coming to the Wii U VC sometime in the then coming months. Several sources ended up backing this claim, yet 2016 has come and gone without so much as a whisper from Nintendo on this front. There's no smoke without fire, though, and now Laura Kate Dale has come forward with her own take on this rumour.

Dale recently tweeted out that the much sought after GBA game is due out sometime in the second quarter of this year on the Nintendo Switch's VC, and will be given a full reveal during the Switch event on 12th January. Naturally, this isn't to be taken as absolute truth, given that it's been nearly a full year since the initial rumours first came out, but perhaps there's more to this then before. It's entirely possible that Nintendo did initially plan to put the game out on Wii U VC and simply chose to hold it back for the Switch. Also, if this is true, then that likely means that we can expect the GBA to show up again on the VC.
