Epic wants a monopoly but they come off as arrogant wanting to pull stunts to boost popularity of their service by taking stuff from other developers without a shred of integrity.
I’ve already felt irritated at their awful business practices and greedy micro transactions. This isn’t helping.

This is revolting. Call of Duty is annualised so often, it’s become a joke among many gamers.
Crash and Spyro deserve a chance to be recognised as gaming legends with future entries but Activision clearly doesn’t actually care about their franchises. Just another “IP” or “brand” to exploit and throw away.
Activision are an awful company. I probably shouldn’t be too surprised they dumped them so soon as Nitro Fueled tried to greedily exploit them in that awful remake. Felt really bummed out knowing they ruined a potentially fun kart racer with horrible micro transactions.
Just disappointed and saddening all around.

I’m surprised they included his Mii costume from Smash 4 but I’m a tad disappointed we haven’t gotten Geno as a fighter...yet.

I’ll still buy the Mii costumes though because they look nice.

While it was fun to see them at the Game Awards, I wish Rare and Microsoft would actually do SOMETHING with the franchise.
Even if their next entry was the final one in the series, I’d at least feel some closure. Right now, it feels lacking that the modern Rare takes their legacy for granted and that’s a massive shame.

It’s a waste of money/time, the controls are horrid and frankly trying to get MARIO in Mario Kart Tour is baffling considering how rare he is.
Just buy Mario Kart 8 Deluxe. It’s the superior game.

The fact any of these horrendous actions are happening at a massive corporation with a significant foothold in the industry is revolting. No apologies can make up for that. Only real serious actions. This is disappointing.

I completely understand. They should take their time making the best game possible.

Here’s one: Experience points and level progression give the game purpose and meaning to battles. Please add these in the next Paper Mario game. As much as people like the story (I certainly do), people want to enjoy battles and feeling like the gameplay truly matters.

I didn’t mind the ring system and enjoyed my time with Origami King but Miyamoto sounds backwards on what makes Paper Mario engaging in gameplay. Experience points give the game meaning and purpose and Toads are not a good substitute for good character design.
It’s so arrogant to claim story in an RPG doesn’t “matter”. It does.

Honestly, 2015 was an atrocious year for Nintendo. The Wii U‘s lineup was embarrassing and the 3DS was given table scraps and was already slowly on it’s way out. It makes 2020 look like a dream by comparison.

I felt most of the announcements were solid. The WWE Battleground trailer was cringy as heck though. It reminded me of skippable ads on YouTube.

This all just feels like arbitrary excuses to be lazy in the character designs. Also, stories are a part of what made Paper Mario good in the first place so the arguments come off as justifying nonsense.

Granted, I’ve enjoyed my time with Origami King (FAR more than Sticker Star) but even so, that’s not a good excuse to disregard experience points. This all just sounds like a middle finger to people who like the Paper Mario series. What a joke.

Also, don’t assume the KH Compilation games and 3 won’t be added on Switch. If the Final Fantasy games (including VII) can be added, there’s no reason to believe Square won’t bother with Kingdom Hearts titles. These things take time.

What I dislike about EA Switch ports is that they’re half-baked and purposefully missing features found in the “better” ports.
I have no idea why EA would even think about supporting Google Stadia anyway. It’s such a dumb decision.

Other than animal crossing, I have no real desire to go out and do stuff. Need something to distract me indoors from this serious problem.

The Wii U by the end of 2017 was a lost cause for Nintendo given how small the userbase was and Miiverse shut down. The Switch on the other hand was already booming in sales by the time Oddesey did come out the year the system launched and there were already a ton of great ports that could be played on the go as well. It was a no-brainer.

Seeing older games get reinvigorated on the HD portable hybrid can only be a good thing in my eyes. If the Switch was a standard HD system like the Wii U (sort of) was, I wouldn't really care but I love the Switch's versatility. I see great things for its future.

EA never respected Nintendo enough to remain consistent in third party support. It's actually rather insulting they even bother with the Big N given their awful ports and the Switch is portable too so what's EA's excuse?

I hope it goes the Mario Run model than something like Dungeon Keeper Mobile where it took ages to unlock anything unless you pay. Hope it's good.

The Wii was a fluke. A surprisingly fun fluke but still a fluke. However, if the Switch surpasses it in sales, I'll eat a hat.

After hearing about how bad the RetroBit Generations microconsole is with its poor emulation and blatant shovelware shoved in, I have no desire to buy this. Given how good the NES and SNES Classics are, they have no excuse being so bad.

Anyone who claims Nintendo need to go the way of Sega are delusional. There is no excuse why any journalist hasn't done their research about Sega and Nintendo. Nintendo can actually afford to make consoles given their finances. Sega are so far gone, if they tried to do it again, it would flop big time. I just can't imagine a situation in which that ever happens for the big N.

I'm so happy the Switch is doing well. Considering how badly the Wii U bombed, I can only hope to actually get the system sooner than later.

I was actually really excited for Dimensions but man, those costs really put me off buying them and considering the amount of them, that's not too surprising.

Though funny enough, I really enjoy collecting amiibo but that's because they're affordable, I like the characters and they're multi-use across different games. That said, I can't defend amiibo festival. That game is just poorly designed and should have been a budget title, not 90 bucks at launch. Awful game but amiibo I can use in other games.

This is so poor of you, NintendoLife. The fact the Switch is actually improving over its predecessor, the Wii U means it's actually doing its job and Nintendo learnt from what the Wii U failed at: getting games at a healthy pace.

How is that a problem? The Wii U had a horrible time trying to get games in the system it's whole life that the Switch's luck of having a ton so early in means the Switch is actually improving over its predecessor. I'd say it was a win for the Switch.

There is a possibility given the 'Only on PlayStation' banner wasn't included on the PS4 release so I won't doubt it.

This just comes off as whining even when the game is good. Gosh, how painful to witness.

As much as I loved the Wii U, I feel like The Switch does a WAY better job at game release pacing. Now, I know for sure the Switch will have enough releases throughout the year and beyond to give me hope for it's future.

I don't know why Nintendo even thought this system met their standards enough to release it in the state and design it was in. Even just looking at screenshots are painful to look at. You can't even play this thing outside the house since you have to rest it on something. I've heard there are some decent games on there but honestly, the system feels more like a cynical and careless product than a fun and respectable video game portable console. No wonder it never made it to the PAL regions...

3D platformers and life systems don't really gel well since in that case, it creates unnecessary frustration for the player in it's level design so I don't mind the road Oddesey is taking with it.

To tell you the truth, I want the game and system but I'll wait 'till Christmas for them and other games...

That really sucks. I was looking forward to the game given the ads that showed it off in Switch ads. Let's seriously hope they patch it sooner than later.

I saw the Oddesey trailers having the rating shown. It's funny how in Australia, the Mario + Rabbids game where Mario has a gun is rated G but a Mario game involving possession and marriage is rated PG. Makes almost no sense with Rabbids since the first few Rabbids games on the Wii were PG but then again, what are you gonna do?

The fact they added in extra stuff that's not on other ports and its portable makes it so worth it. Love this game. It's great.

Whatever it is, I'm sure it will be amazing.
