Re: Gallery: Huge Batch Of Xenoblade Chronicles: Definitive Edition Screenshots Show Characters And Environments

@Kalmaro

Honestly, I didn’t care for it on 3DS. The game itself wonderful (of course), but man, it’s janky on 3DS. Textures are really bad and just overall not pleasant to look at. I didn’t care for the 3D either, it just wasn’t designed with that in mind during the Wii days. I’m not saying the game was bad, the art direction is wonderful, but this game needed a sprucing up more than being downgraded to fit the 3DS. I still kept it, but more for the sake of collection purposes.

This is the way to play it. I’ve been begging for an HD conversion and it’s finally here. I cannot wait. This HD version looks incredible.

Re: Fans And Analysts Ponder The Eternal Question: Can Nintendo Survive Without Shigeru Miyamoto?

MoonKnight7

Nintendo will be just fine. Whenever he leaves will be a sad day, but Nintendo has tons of creative people under its wings. Splatoon was spearheaded by a new creative team and it turned into a mega hit, even on the Wii U of all places. I selfishly would like to at least get Pikmin 4 before he leaves, haha.

He deserves to have some time to himself, retire and enjoy the rest of his life. What a legacy he has.

Re: Poll: Does Resident Evil 4 Really Need The REmake Treatment?

MoonKnight7

They should remake it. 2 and 3 had such care put into them, why not continue with one of the best games ever made? It’s a wonderful game, but it could certainly use some sprucing up. You can always port the old one just as some game preservation, but I don’t see anything wrong with remaking it, so long as they continue that great love and care seen in the previous two games.

“ the mass online community applying pressure on players to rise up to the quality of others villages”

Sure, I’ve seen random people post on Twitter, showing off a bit of pride — but pressure?? What?? Like online Animal Crossing bullies?? Lmao. If those people really exist, block em / ignore them.

Play at your own pace, on your own time, and let it become your own creation. That’s the way you play — forget everyone else. Never forget, no matter what game it is, some people have wayyyyy too much free time. If you have a life (like most people) don’t feel bad if your village doesn’t have the same finesse as someone else.

Agreed about crafting though, but only for tools. To counter that, I have DIY stumps at a few key spots on my island. I like crafting everything else.

If you’re just not enjoying it, then don’t feel bad or waste your time with it. Life is too short, play something you enjoy.

Re: Poll: What Did You Think Of The Nintendo Direct Mini?

MoonKnight7

Smart to drop this out of nowhere, we all tend to shoot for the moon with expectations, and lots of people get disappointed that way. People would have been disappointed if this particular direct was announced beforehand.

For what it was, it was good. It didn’t have any showstoppers, but what was there was solid. Xenoblade’s Epilogue was a nice surprise. Borderlands, Bioshock and Xcom are great additions to have.

Re: Xenoblade Chronicles: Definitive Edition Appears On The European Switch eShop

MoonKnight7

I’m not like others on here saying Nintendo has nothing to show this year just cause it’s March, however, once Animal Crossing drops next week, we have absolutely no idea what’s next for the Switch. It’s in Nintendo’s best interest to release some info very, very soon.

If Xenoblade is indeed coming in May, or close to it, they need to let people know sooner, rather than later.

Re: Nintendo's Request To Dismiss Joy-Con Drift Lawsuit Gets Rejected

MoonKnight7

I’ve had 4 issues with drifting. Unbelievably, some users on here still think we drop kick our switches down the steps every morning when we get out of bed.

“Take better care of your stuff” they say.

I’ve had Nintendo products my entire life, and I’ve never encountered so many issues than with these joy-cons. Drift is a huge problem, and I still can’t believe Nintendo hasn’t figured out a solution yet. Sure they’ll fix them for free in the US, but wouldn’t it just be easier to solve the problem, than to just keep fixing and replacing joy-cons?? Extremely disappointing coming from joy-cons that cost $80.

Re: Talking Point: Nintendo Switch Turns 3: Challenges Await, But What A Ride So Far

MoonKnight7

I love my Switch. Love the games, love playing handheld, then going to the tv when I want. It’s still remarkable to me how easy that process is. They took the best concept from Wii U, “off tv play” and based the Switch on that idea.

It could use some improvement though. Joy-con drift is still a problem for many users. 3 years in, it should be fixed by now, one would think. Cracking back plates is also another issue for some users. Great system that is unfortunately marred by some unexpected physical problems that we usually don’t get from Nintendo. There is also no way to back up your saves, except for the cloud, but even then not all games are covered — that’s simply madness. I hope these things get resolved for the updated Switch when it comes.

But all that said, considering where we came from on the Wii U, what a remarkable step forward from Nintendo.
