It will only be news to me if I hear Ludvix, a prominent Melee Falco main, join Ludwig's tournament.

It seems like Retro and Nintendo hold Metroid at a higher standard than even the fans. Probably why we've never really seen Metroid dive into other genres.

What has me thinking even more is that devs at Retro seem to be fans of tactical RPGs. They tried to do a similar concept with Heroes of Hyrule, but gameplay ultimately got too complicated, and that project also got canned. I'm curious to see if we'll ever get a tactical RPG from them, because I'd like to see what they can bring out.

I'm getting the feeling that Nintendo knows exactly what the fans want and are intentionally withholding them for a couple of reasons.
1. "Splat Match" or Deathmatch removes any level of differentiation from other shooter games
2. If they introduce Apartments, people will start asking for this to be a social sim game, which shifts the whole focus away from the core gameplay (not to mention Mr. Nogami already makes a simulation game anyways, so they probably want to shift sales towards that direction)
3. Nintendo, being Nintendo, loves to min-max content in order to prolong a game's life.

A classic Nintendo Switch port, being one of the earliest F2P ones. I've almost forgotten about this game and thought it had died off.

Now that they have their own YouTube channel and podcast, it's nice to finally see their true opinions about Nintendo and the gaming industry as a whole. I've been actively listening in to The Kit & Krysta Podcast this past month and have almost completely caught up.

Now this has become a real issue. Looks like it's time for them to look for a different publisher.

THIS. This is what I really really want developers to see. I would rather play games that are massively upgraded from a Switch game instead of playing massively downgraded versions of a PS4 game.

This article is severely outdated. 6 characters have already been revealed to return, so now you're just drip-feeding old news. Byleth was revealed I think two or three weeks ago.

Seeing this update, I'm not too sure what to make of it.

I almost wanted to say that The Pokémon Company would be in charge of that, but then I remembered that it was likely Nintendo who took matters in their own hands to request a fix this game.

It mildly bothers me given the differing art styles and just an overall difference in the world. Skyward Sword may have established a lot of the lore in the franchise, but floating islands and malice does not immediately mean it's associated. Actually, I cannot stress enough how many Zelda games already have floating islands. It's not one game, for sure.

I'm surprised there is no mention about how this game essentially "connects" the whole entire Xeno series, at least on a thematic basis.

When Nintendo is the one who steps forward and not The Pokémon Company, then it just shows that the 33% ownership of The Pokémon Company means a lot more than people are letting on. If Nintendo has an issue, TPC CANNOT refuse to listen.

Here's what has been confirmed so far:

• Takes place "sometime" after the events of Ocarina of Time
• Takes place at the latest part of the timeline, on a general standpoint
• Events leading up to the timeline are ultimately up to the player's interpretation; could mean that the game is non-exclusive to any of the timeline splits.

Wow, the more you know. I also legit did not know that Luigi's Spanish voice actor was REPRISING his role as another version of Luigi. I wonder if Miyamoto had a hand in that casting.

Excuse me, but the Triforce piece showing up is probably a very substantial part of this. It was heavily rumoured to have been an obtainable item in the game but has not been seen until very recently.

Just as Kit and Krysta said, Nintendo is very obsessed with control, and this is just another example of that. That is the only reason why Panda Cup exists.

Age of Calamity holds a better representation of Power than Skyward Sword does. Not only does the game push an emphasis towards the usage of Malice, including Astor's mysterious relic that appears comparable to the Sheikah Slate and Zonai Arm, but the game also emphasizes on the power of each individual in this game when they are brought together, in a battle that was lost in Breath of the Wild due to the lack of such virtue. It also shows the Power of Calamity Ganon, being powerful enough that he could accelerate the revival of his timeline variations and put Hyrule in a war even before the Calamity ever begun.

Don't worry, you'll get one eventually. They're becoming increasingly common now.

I managed to get mines bundled with Horizon Forbidden West, a second DualSense, and a charging station from Costco's website, of all places. The number of scalpers will definitely decrease.

I'm very tempted to play this, but I have unfortunately not played Final Fantasy VII Remake yet.

I think as we progress further into the Switch's lifecycle, developers are no longer taking Game Cards and microSD speeds into account. I think Metroid Dread was one of the first Nintendo-published games to have a painfully slow loading time after all of the updates have been released.

Thanks to these Black Friday deals, I managed to get my hands on Skyrim Anniversary Edition and Fallout 4 GotY Edition in some INSANE bundle on Steam. Did not get the Switch version of Skyrim because the discount was not nearly as big.

I also happened to be starting the Insomniac Spider-Man games. I bought Miles Morales Ultimate Edition on Black Friday to get both games.

At the end of the day, the game sold 10 million with many issues. There would only be a real problem if there was a mass resignation of Game Freak employees from the time constraints, but if those developers aren't complaining, then we aren't going to see much of a difference unless people stop paying for Pokémon.

A very interesting statement, obviously spoken in a very vague and personal tone rather than a professional one.

Because there is this level of bias that comes around whenever gameplay ends up becoming a barrier to them. They choose not to experience the rest of the game and end up missing all of the good stuff.

It's worth noting that The Pokémon Company is giving them hell with very early due dates and not enough investment on development teams.

If we're gonna throw in Virtual Console games, then I recommend every DS game.

Seeing this kind of makes me wish Nintendo stepped in and had some more influence over the game development like they did in the earlier days of Pokémon. It was Shigeru Miyamoto who pushed the previously-rejected idea of Pokémon to come to life with the help of Nintendo.

Some people are also saying this game is the worst-looking Pokémon game ever made, but... Legends Arceus kind of holds that title with a very bland colour palette.

Let it sink in. Breath of the Wild, a Wii U-original game, win Game of the Year in 2017.

I'm mildly surprised The Pokémon Company has not capitalized on this outside of an evolution. There are Pokémon still trapped in the depths of Pokémon Bank or Home...

Why are Nintendo Life article titles progressively decreasing in quality the more I stay here? Whatever happened to the accuracy given to the article's topic, or in the case of the Pokémon anime, any respect given to spoilers?

When Square-Enix wants to, they make a Nintendo console port very, very well. When Square-Enix doesn't want to, they just don't do it at all. I'd reckon if they ever decided they, they could port over Final Fantasy VII Remake if they wanted to.

In theory, Engage should've been one of the most hyped up and craziest games to showcase ever, being a major crossover of many eras across Fire Emblem as a mainline game.

However, it feels like it arrived at the wrong place and wrong time, not to mention the very genuine leaks making the game and really just coming out of seeing Three Hopes.

With Game Freak being equal shareholders with Nintendo for The Pokémon Company, there is a very good reason why Nintendo hasn't been making many Pokémon games. Nintendo is there for the marketing, the branding, the international publishing, and exclusivity. The games themselves are not for them to touch, though Nintendo has a high enough stake in the company to make executive decisions, but only with the higher-ups.

Xenoblade Chronicles 3 has a slim chance of winning the Game of the Year just because of its gameplay. Maybe the Best Sound and Music and Best Role Playing, but Game of the Year is a really high standard (but it also ignores the huge amount of pain that the developers sat through).

Best Family still fails at justifying its criteria by making it a Nintendo-centric category. You can't play Mario + Rabbids or Splatoon with your family.

Best Score and Music nominees further reinforces the fact that there is a bias towards orchestral, dramatic music. We do not get enough nominations for other styles of music, especially upbeat.

I think I will be genuinely upset of Tears of the Kingdom loses Most Anticipated Game a third time.

The article isn't lying. Nintendo actually holds 19 out of the 20 spots on this list. Only 1 game is on other platforms.

DLC has been around for a decade and a half. How do you screw something up like this?

Nintendo UK is a very interesting situation, but I would imagine that because of its separation from the EU. However, I'm not sure if this is entirely true or not, but Nintendo UK might be responsible for the English side of Nintendo of Europe.

It doesn't look like the Nintendo of America vs Nintendo of Canada split, where Nintendo of Canada acts more or less as a tiny marketing firm that acts separately from its US counterpart.

If...and probably when Nintendo surpasses the Game Boy, there is nothing else we can wait for. I have a lot of doubts it would ever reach the likes of the DS and PS2, simply because those two consoles have a market that has since been divided, with some DS players on mobile devices and the PS2 players (not even players at this point) using... movie/TV streaming services today.

Nintendo opting to indefinitely delay Advance Wars is starting to annoy a lot of people. I would like to think they're trying to capitalize on the game once the war in Ukraine ends.
