never expected this, but I bet it'll be good, alphadream is a solid developer and the M&L titles are great. disappointed that we aren't getting a real new Paper Mario

I would consider it disrespectful to release a war or crime game like CoD or GTA on the 11th, but Mario has nothing to do with any of that, and life needs to go on.
I love the original Yoshi's Island, but all the other Yoshi games I've played have been too easy and haven't tried enough new things. The visual style here looks amazing, it looked like there were some cool gameplay ideas, but I won't buy it if it doesn't give me a challenge.
@FilmerNgameR How is the 3DS almost over? no successor has been officially announced, and even once that happens it's going to be at least a year until the new system is released. The 3DS is going to be going strong at least until early 2017
@MrRaven1972 I know you've gotten a lot of answers, but I would play the original first, then TTYD, then Super Paper Mario so long as you understand it's very different (while still good). I could honestly not recommend Sticker Star to anyone, it's a lifeless hollow of the other games, changing everything but the art style.
The Thousand-Year Door is my favourite game of all time. Paper Mario is in the top 10 or 5. Super was also quite good, though not nearly so good as the first 2. Sticker Star was so terribly disappointing. I really hope they see sense and go back to the original formula, which was SO solid. I would give up every other new release for years for a Paper Mario Wii U that went back to its roots. Also, don't give it to retro or anyone else, intelligent systems can do it right, they just need to try.
Also I have codes to give away for SteamWorld Dig on 3DS, Mighty Switch Force, and Gunman Clive. One per person, reply to this with which one you want and your email and I'll send it to you.
I'm 18 and played Contra for the first time this year. It's a hard game, but with enough persistence I managed it. btw I detest the react series, all the ones I've watched are stupid and sometimes offensive
this is incredibly disappointing. why does Nintendo never seem to do the things that could help them make money? this could have been the gaming event of the year, now it's nothing
@MC808 what was advertised was a selection of levels to play for free, to give you an idea if what the game was, what was offered was 5 or so tutorial levels, each of which took about 20 seconds. that isn't a free-to-play/start title, that isn't even a demo. it was ridiculous, and the announcement trailer mislead me to how much was available to play for free
I was pretty annoyed that only the tutorial was free, that was like five minutes and it wasn't even fun. Not to say the game might not be great, but it seems like false advertising to me.
more would be great, I still don't have any because the only ones I want are over-priced. that said, I'm skeptical we're going to see any major changes to stock
Undoubtedly one of the great gaming dynasties, but aside from Metal Gear they haven't been very relevant the past ten years. Even if they don't leave the industry, they can never return to the glory days of Contra, Castlevania, TMNT, etc.
I think they need to do more market research on 3DS and Fantasy Life, since I don't see how Fantasy Life appeals more to adults, and the fact that a huge number of non-child gamers own 3DSs
I've played all the American releases, just wish they'd localize more of the old ones. Awakening has the best support and gameplay, POR has the best story, but Sacred Stones is my fav overall, though maybe it's just nostalgia
