One things for certain. I don't care if the NX is so powerful it can create a solid hologram of Natalie Portman for your "enjoyment". I will NOT be buying an NX at launch. I simply don't trust Nintendo anymore.

You know what I would normally stand back and shake my head like a disapproving parent at all the internet rage in the comments. But this time I really think its well founded. Nintendo has really struggled this gen, not just with Zelda but with games in general. And yet it seems they care little about changing that outlook for themselves. I know some people who bought a Wii U purely for Zelda U and after two years it turns out it was a waste of money for them. I for one am very annoyed that I could have sold my Wii U at least a year ago as aside from maybe two games (Xenoblade chronicles X and Bayonetta 2) the thing has slowly been gathering dust. Just what the heck are they playing at? The NX news is encouraging to know they will release next spring as I think it will be a ripe time to soak up all the attention after the ps vr and 4k releases. But again, not showing anything at E3 is just a bonkers move that makes little sense to me. I really am coming to the end of my relationship with Nintendo I think, and as stated, unless this NX is some kind of power house monster of a machine I believe many more will jump ship too. Leaving Nintendo to become just like Sega did. And unless anything changes, I won't be sorry and the fate will be thoroughly deserved.

We all knew it. Still a poke in the eye of every Wii U owner. The NX is going to have to be something tremendous for me to still be a Nintendo fan by 2017.

Yay! Lets pre order it...erm...wait where is it? Why do Europeans have to wait while USA eats up the stock, or vice versa? Why cant the damn game be available to pre order everywhere? Getting sick of this.

This is without a doubt a Shin Megami Tensei game first and foremost, with characters from the Fire Emblem series added to the mix. And for Fire Emblem fans or people who have never tried and SMT game this may initially be a huge turn off. But trust me, SMT games are some of the best JRPG's ever made (SMT4, Persona 3 and Persona 4 Golden to name just three) so I for one am hugely excited for TMS.

Capcom used to be THE conpany that made all the original Zany games like Resident Evil ( Before it became Call of Duty), Okami and Vietiful Joe. Now Capcom are literally a ghost of their former selves and Platinum are the ones to make consistently great quality games. Seriously, I dont really know of any game developped by Platinum that I haven't enjoyed. I wish Minami-san all the best for the future.

I would simply like to see a third Bravely game. Handheld, Home Console, Potato, I don't care what its on as long as they make a third game

Ugh, alot of damage control going on here. I would love to get the 3ds version because I have both 999 and VLR on ds/3ds. But there is no denying the vita version of ZTD looks ALOT better than the 3ds. On the guys shoulder is an orange "smudge", it is only when looking at the vita version that you see it is a pin in the shape of a butterfly. The rest of the screenshots dont look bad but people saying it is only a "slight" difference between the two versions are in denial.

All I will say is that IF Nintendo did fire Rapp based on the amount of flack she was getting from certain groups in the gaming community I am extremely worried. If a group spreading hate and harassment have the power to influence game companies like Nintendo then I am terrified for the future of the gaming industry.

Maybe its just my area, but Wario shake dimension is quite readily available in stores and at a much lower price ( £4 last I looked) so what is the point of downloading it? I really hope Nintendo start releasing super rare gems like The Last Story, Fire Emblem Radiant dawn or Fragile Dreams. You know, games where if you wish to buy a physical copy prices start at £70 and go up from there on ebay. A game like Wario which is available in a better format (physical) make little sense to me.

@NintendoFanBoy16 I never realised that you could order more than one copy of a game on their store. I think with standard games: fair enough, fill your basket, but with limited editions, as the name suggests, yeah, it should be limited to one per person.

I must admit its crazy how it only seems to be with Nintendo that special editions sell out so quick. Why? Because Nintendo is more popular than other devs? Sorry but no. Much as I love the big N they have always created VERY few copies of games to bring a kind of forced hype to what they are trying to sell. Its bonkers and its wrong (imo) but you gotta admit it does work.

Been watching my emails like a hawk after missing out on pre ordering at Game. Got my email from Nintendo store at 16:20 and snatched up a pre order like a starving man in burger king! Final Fantasy XV Ultimate edition and Fire Emblem Fates limited edition both in the same week. I am a very very happy man. 2016: The year of the JRPG's.
Ps. Please for the love of all that is decent don't all start messaging me saying Fire Emblem is a SRPG!

The big issue is charging £7-9 for games you doubless already have owned on your snes, wii, wii U. A ridiculous pricing system when on the wii U the games are £5.29

I think it would be awesome if tgey did like they did in 2006: Do a rebrand, a game simply titled Sonic the hedghog and make a new game with a dark story to it like they did with Sonic 2006...All they have to do is ensure that UNLIKE Sonic 2006, this game is actually playable and not the worst game the series has ever made...

Im not guna go with the usual wild predictions but instead im guna theorise on that comment confirming no news for nx. That all but confirms to me that the nx is going to have a massive blowout announcement at E3.

Im waiting on the wolf link amiibo adition to be delivered and I will love the game because, frankly, it is the best Zelda game and therefore one of the greatest gaming experiences ive ever had. But im sorry, there is no getti g around the frustration that this is a rather lazy port. Plus the fact its the third remaster of a Zelda game in as many years is a worryingly large amount of evidence to suggest Nintendo are running out of ideas for the Wii U.

If this was sony or microsoft. Id be inclined to agree with the rumours. But this is Nintendo. So as likely as the rumours may be, there is just as much possibility of the system requiring dirt to power it. Or a 6 foot controller. Or a 6 milimetre controller. Or power so low it wont even run super nintendo games. Or Amiibo powered games...Actually that last one could be likely but you get my meaning. Nintendo are always their own best friend and their own worst enemy when it comes to innovative products. Im sick of saying this but I just want a super powered "normal" console. No gimmicks. Just the power to run competently good looking games with a nice controller that has buttons, analogue sticks and little else in terms of new features. We could get that, but again this is Ninendo so who knows?

Im really beginning to think Nintendo feel the same way about the WiiU than Sony does about the PS Vita.

New F Zero please please please please please please!!

Let me just start by saying Twilight Princess is one of the best games ive ever played. Its one of the rare games I have completed several times. But, and for owners of the original like myself, I still see nothing here that makes it worth buying again. The game has just had an up res and thats about it. Maybe if it runs at 60fps I would double dip but I doubt it will. All that aside if you somehow have not yet played Twilight Princess, this version is an absolute must buy, but I mean come on, who here hasn't played Twilight Princess who is a fan of the Zelda franchise?

Yet another game that is owned by EVERYONE on different platforms before it comes to Wii U.

Plus, sorry to be THAT person, but Xenoblade chronicles X doesn't take place on the top of giants...I think Lins voice actress picked kotaku's review of Xenoblade Chronicles...oops.

I hate censorship however big or small it is...but in this case it wasn't anything major, it was sleeves added to a character model. And lets not forget this character model is 13! No biggie.

Good grief. Virtual console could have some corking releases, but instead we get a plethora of mario platformers. If you have super mario U or even better, Mario Maker, there is no point in having these games. Why don't Nontendo release some games that we want like The Last Story or Madworld?

@johnlucas A great speech dude. But without proof to all of your points for 2016 it is just that. A speech. Do you have any proof this will all be happening or is it blind belief that Nintendo will pull all this out of the bag?

A small list, sure. But if every single one of these games are brilliant and system defining efforts then it wont matter how small the list is. When you see a sparse release list you may at first think negatively and proclaim the legendary phrase "this console has no games". But I would wager if you conpared the number of amazing games for the wii u compared to xbox or ps4, I think the wii u will, at least, have just as many if not more than the competition.

I polled for "disapointed". I would have polled for "very disapointing, a huge letdown" if it wasnt for the incredible Xenoblade chronicles X. That game is quite literally the only outstanding thing thats happened for Nintendo this year. Unfortunately I feel 2016 willbemuch the same, with Zelda Wii U being the only saving grace for the system and more than likely being a swan song for the wii u.

Happy with the updates, and as long as we continue to get evolutions to this game I will continue to be happy.

While I initially roled my eyes at yet ANOTHER fire emblem character, when I saw Corrin in action I was pretty hyped. I am not normally someone who gets hyped for dlc in a game thats already had plenty of my attention but seeing Bayonetta announced had me clapping my hands in glee at the screen. Cant wait for February to play with Bayo and Corrin, should tide me over until Twilight Princess HD comes out.
Overall this was the first smash direct I really enjoyed watching.

I really hope this game as an online community this time next year, because I will still be playing it then too. This game is amazing. I would recommend it to anyone who enjoys jrpgs.

Fire Emblem is an awesome franchise but I admit its rather annoying seeing so many of them on Smash. I do like all the characters but having so many from one franchise in Nintendo's whole roster of franchises is a bit too excessive. Oh and I have no idea why people hate sword fighters, are they op?

As for my predictions despite my previous post I think Splatoon will be an easy win. Though I think that is criminal. Xenoblade Chronicles is not only my Wii U game of the year. Its not only my GOTY for any system. It is without doubt one of the best games ive played this generation of consoles. The game is outstanding.

Couldnt choose Splatoon on the principle for some peoples connection the game is fundamentally broken. And no I am not talking about slow speeds as that seems not to matter. I know several people with super fast fibre optic connections and still the game refuses to hold a stable connection, booting people from a match and lowering their rank. So I could never take any vote for Splatoon seriously.

Ridiculous that games like call of duty rack in the money every single yeah despite gamers everywhere moaning that there is no originality in games anymore. But then actually unique and damn amazing games like this get left in the dust because its "too unique" or that classically stupid line: "its too japanese". The hypocrisy and double standards of some gamers depresses me. Especially Wii U owners who moan that there are no games available for the system

In my opinion the first smg is a much better game than smg2 so yeah, thats good news. But in the great spirit of a gamer who is never satisfied: Ninendo, bring us Super Paper Mario, Last Story and Mad World next please!

@JaxonH Completely and unequivocally agree with you mate. Been saying for a while it is gamers that are destroying the gaming industry. Never being happy. I guarantee if the game was mostly a Fire Emblem game with a few Shin Megami Tensei elements people would be moaning that the game is too similar to the FE games on 3ds and weren't "wii u" enough.

Oh and for all those wanting a "Fire Emblem Wii U", that was never going to happen. It is Shin Megami Tensei X Fire Emblem, not the other way around. Thats like wishing Smash bros X final fantasy is an actual rpg rather than simply being smash with Cloud in it. Or complaining that the dlc pack for Mario Kart with the animal crossing track in it doesn't actually feature all the gameplay of animal crossing in it.
In short, the game is a Shin Megami Tensei game first and Fire Emblem game second.

Many may dismiss this after discribing it as a rpg set in modern day music industry. But then if I was to tell you about a game set around a modern japanese high school setting, with lots of mini games surrounding you living the life of a high school boy. And you can jump into tv's to fight monsters based around being inside a tv. You wouldnt think that would be very good would you? Well I just decribed Persona 4 Golden, one of the best jrpg's ever made. So yes, I am looking forward to this. It doesn't matter what the premise of a game is. If it has an involving story, great design and combat then I will be excited for it. Cant wait

While interesting and full of exciting promise. I really hope Nintendo justvmake a powerful console with a standard controller this time. Imagine a console twice as powerful as ps4 with a gamecube 2.0 controller, or something like that. It would be amazing and would entice all the hardcore gamers that have jumped ship to ps4 or xbox.
If Nintendo makes yet another console with a "revolutionary" concept or mechanic the system will be another 10 million seller, I guarantee it. Im not being a stick in the mud. I really want Nintendo to come back to the forefront of peoples living rooms like I know they can be. I mean, imagine the NX is like I described, a normal console, with launch games featuring a new Mario adventure, a new Metroid (fps controls with an epic storyline), a new F zero in 1080p 60fps with graphics shaming the likes of Forza motorsport in terms of detail and maybe even a port of Zelda Wii U running at 60 fps and ultra high res textures. Exciting isnt it? Now imagine the nx is just a slight increase in power over wii u but has this revelation in gaming like the wii u was hyped to be, with launch games featuring a brand new ip but its a quirky nintendo project that has you using your feet to control a tomato running away from a farmer, or something equally ridiculous and "unique". Not as exciting huh? See, it doesn't matter how incredible that initial game may be, Nintendo need to concentrate on something more traditional. Otherwise in 10 years they WILL go the way of Sega. Another guarantee.

So theory time! Cloud will be available shortly after the presentation and two or three more dlc characters announced to be coming in January/febuary, namely Shovel Knight, Wolf Link and...Erm...Oh heck lets go for it, SOLID SNAKE!!! I am definitely right on this guys, unless im wrong 😁

I really think Linkle could be in Zelda Wii U. My theory is she is from the same village as Link where all the warriors dress in the green garb like the hero of legend. Just a theory but it would be a nice fit and I reckon they are putting linkle in Hyrule warriors first to test her popularity.
