Re: Nintendo Download: 30th June (Europe)

Marshi

@ThomasBW84 hey, not your fault Thomas. Your website is worldwide afterall. I am very unhappy that this game isn't getting a physical release in EU (and I suppose I should now separate the UK...) territories though! Like I say though thats not your websites fault.

Re: Nintendo Download: 30th June (Europe)

Marshi

@Peach64 Region locked 3ds dude. Its a massive dissapointment that I imported 999 due to ds games being region free, and I bought VLR despite having it for the vita so that when ZTD came out I would have the whole collection on 3ds. Only now its going to be download only and to me it just doesn't sit right in my head. Plus I will simply never pay £32 for a digital only game. So im going to import the USA vita game seeing as vita is region free.

Re: Review: Tokyo Mirage Sessions #FE (Wii U)

Marshi

@Warruz Tuuuuuuuuune! Well my fortissimo edition came in the post and ive been playing TMS all day. Its great and if you swap school life for the entertainment industry you basically have a Persona game. I would heartily recommend this game to anyone who loves Persona 4 Golden.

Re: Round Up: First Mighty No. 9 Reviews Suggest The Wait Hasn't Been Worth It

Marshi

This is exactly the reason why you will never ever EVER see me anywhere near kickstarter. Even Shenmue 3, which brought a nostalgic tear to my eye upon realising the story will finally be finished, didnt elicit so much as a penny from my wallet. Because you never know what the finished product is going to be like, or even if it will get finished at all.

Re: Nintendo Download: 23rd June (Europe)

Marshi

@Ralek85 you ever played any of the Persona games? Persona 4 Golden for the ps vita especially is one of the greatest jrpg's ever made. And while I think it will be a long shot for TMS to be as good as P4G, it certainly looks to be in the same veign. So I think the game will be great.

Re: Nintendo Download: 23rd June (Europe)

Marshi

Ufinally a decent week for WII U. Magoras mask N64, Tokyo mirrage sessions, Mighty number nine. And some excellent discounts for 3ds too. May just have to finally get the 3ds version of Ocarina of Time. At £16 its a steal.

Re: Delays With The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild Due to Physics Engine and Dual Release Decision

Marshi

Look, Breath of the wild will be an astoundingly great experience when it comes out. Of that I have no doubt. But this just further confirms to me that the latest zelda game really is an NX title first and foremost with them porting the game to Wii U because, frankly, there would be a public outcry if it didnt. This has without doubt being the most frustrating development cycle for a Zelda game ive ever seen.

Re: Poll: What Did You Think of Nintendo's E3 2016?

Marshi

Im actually surprised at how much I have enjoyed Nintendo's presence at e3 this year. While I still stand by my opinion that the lack of any NX details at the worlds biggest stage for Gaming was a complete mistep by them. Overall I loved every second of the Zelda footage, and was very surprised to see other titles like Paper Mario make an appearance with a release date. I just hope we will get a direct or stage show dedicated fo revealing the NX very soon because if Nintendo leave the reveal of the machine until late into the year, when the machine is due for release in march 2017, it will do nothing but hurt the potential success of the NX. And I dont think Nintendo can afford that.

So yeah, enjoyed their e3, but they are still on probation with me until I see the NX.

Re: Nintendo Download: 16th June (Europe)

Marshi

I will watch 5 minutes of Zelda, but other than that Nintendo is DEAD this e3. And theybare pretty much dead this gen now until NX POTENTIALLY-and I put emphasis on the word potential- resurects the company.
Just wake up Nintendo, or you will go the way of Sega...Oh and nothing for me this week. Big surprise...

Re: Poll: Are You Excited About Nintendo's Expanded E3 Plans?

Marshi

@capitalism I really hope your right. And that there will be more than FIVE nintendo wii u and 3ds games shown at e3. Just let that sink in a moment. Five games, over two consoles. At a five day event where nearly every other console will have 30-40 games shown for each system. And thats probably just the new AAA announcements. With indy games you are probably looking at 80-100 games.
...So yeah, I really hope you are right and the rest of us are hopelessly wrong. Because after a pedestal moment like you just had you would have serious egg on your face if it turns out there really IS just five games spread thin over the whole of e3 for nintendo.
Oh and this is coming from a massively enthusiatic, and massively disappointed, nintendo fan.

Re: Two 'Extended' E3 Demos Expected for The Legend of Zelda on Wii U

Marshi

Along with Final Fantasy, Halo and Assassins Creed, Zelda is one of my favourite all time franchises. So it pains me to say this game is just dead to me, hype wise. I feel no hype whatsoever after multiple disappointments. When the game does finally release (Im guessing September 2017) I am certain I will adore it. But until then, no amount of demo footage is going to get me excited for it. Frankly, there is too many other games that haven't emotionally bruised me that I would rather give my time to.

Re: Random: Store Shelves Appear To Be Filling With Pre-Owned Copies Of Star Fox Zero

Marshi

Yeah because popular opinion is ALWAYS a clear scale of how good a game is...Yes internet, that was sarcasm. Look the game isn't mind blowing, its simply a good game. That doesn't seem to be enough for many. The trouble is, in 1997 when starfox 64 came out, there wasn't many action games as frenetic or action packed as starfox. Jump to 2016 and store shelfs are full to the brim with epic shooters, space sims, star wars licensed products and enough sci fi to be happy for a life time. So ofcourse the shine of a new starfox game is not going to be as shiny as many people expected. But it IS a good game. Not the best game ever made or game of the year, but a good, competent and thoroughly entertaining wii u game.

Re: Denis Dyack Blames "Unethical" Journalists For Almost Killing Shadow Of The Eternals

Marshi

Look, I dont care about the politics of gaming. I care about gaming, period. Dennis Dyack rubs people the wrong way, but its not like he has done anything illegal or killed anyone. And Eternal Darkness remains one the most atmospheric game experiences out there. So release an Eternal Darkness HD release on Wii U or, if possible, all platforms. Drum up funds and support for Shadow of the Eternals. Then that game can be released. Politics need not come into it.

Re: Nintendo Confirms its DLC Plans for Tokyo Mirage Sessions #FE

Marshi

@Einherjar I detest it too pal. ANY sort of aggressive behaviour simply because of differing opinions is something I actively try to avoid.
Me and you disagree on this, but why should that mean I should fling dirt in your direction? I (as I have been trying all afternoon to get accross) actually admire your resolve and determination to stop censorship.
Like I say mate, we are going to have to agree to disagree here. I will buy this game for reasons already stated. But I understand your stance as to why you wont.

Re: Nintendo Confirms its DLC Plans for Tokyo Mirage Sessions #FE

Marshi

@Einherjar Dude, Im with you. Censorship sucks, period. What I was trying to say is that on this occasion its not worth getting in such a huff over some "digital skin" as you put it. If (or arguably when) content becomes cut to the point of the game not playing the same in the west, then I will be happy that at least I will be saving myself some money. The last decade has slowly seen more and more games being released in a year. Where I would have in the past bought perhaps 3 or 4 games per year, I am now finding myself buying 30 or 40 games, all AAA quality and all "essential" as I see it. So forgive me if I don't lose sleep over a game that is censored left right and centre because it just means I can focus my time and effort into a better game.
I think at this point we are arguing semantics friend. You clearly see any sort of censorship as a crossed line and will not buy a game that has any evidence of the sort. There is absolutely NOTHING wrong with your attitude on this. However my tolerance over such things are a little more lenient than yours.
So in short. I will buy TMS and im fairly certain the censored scenes will be invisible to me unless I see a comparison to the Japanese version. I am looking forward to this game.

Re: Nintendo Confirms its DLC Plans for Tokyo Mirage Sessions #FE

Marshi

@Einherjar Well no one forces you to buy or not buy anything. That right is, and always should be, yours. But to be honest it always shocks me that people DONT focus on what has actually being changed rather than making it out like some massive conspiracy. Again, if actual story content is cut from a game it would be a big deal to me. But frankly it wouldnt bother me if Nintendo decided to change the outfit for every character in every western release in every game that they do from now on. Because what difference does that truly make? Like you say, vote with your wallet. I am absolutely all for that because it truly is the only way these companies understand. I will be voting with my wallet when this game releases by buying it day one. It looks like a fantastic JRPG in the veign of Persona 3 and 4 (4 being widely regarded as one of the beat JRPG's ever made) and not being able to see as much chest or thigh as our Japanese cousins will not spoil my enjoyment in the least. If it spoils yours, or if the entire principle of cutting content no matter how big or small it is means a no buy, then at least your wallet will look healthier than mine come June.

Re: Nintendo Confirms its DLC Plans for Tokyo Mirage Sessions #FE

Marshi

@DuckDodgers1989 Censorship is disappointing but to not buy a game simply because costumes have been changed is something I just don't understand. I could understand if entire sections of a story is cut but just changing a bikini bottom into a pair of shorts is hardly something to get upset over.

Re: Nintendo Confirms Its E3 Plans for The Legend of Zelda

Marshi

@rjejr Well in the past, marketing a new Zelda game was a simple case of announcing that there IS one and hype would generate. Zelda games in the past were stand out events, masterpieces of game design and inovation. But this one, and with the numerous remasters and smaller adventures on handhelds. And with Tryforce heroes (multiplayer zelda based on fashion?!...no) there is a definite decline in excitement. Especially when Zelda games are no longer the only mastercrafted third person action adventure series out there.

Re: Nintendo Confirms Its E3 Plans for The Legend of Zelda

Marshi

@rjejr Wow, I never thought of it like that and you are spot on. Why on Earth are Nintendo showing off the Wii U version of Zelda but not the NX version? Whether they are different or the same is not the issue. The fact they have announced Zelda Wii U will be released on NX as well means there really should be information at this event as to what that actually means for the game. To me, there just isnt much point in watching this treehouse knowing that there is a potentially superior version on its way. Again, whether the games are different or not is NOT the issue. The fact only one version is being shown is.

Re: Nintendo Confirms Its E3 Plans for The Legend of Zelda

Marshi

you know what? Im certain that when it DOES come out the new Zelda will be a wonderful game. But after playing incredible, expansive and beautiful games like Uncharted 4, Rise of the Tomb Raider and Xenoblade Chronicles X, im just not too excited or hyped anymore for Zelda when open world games of similar or, arguably, superior ilk are already available. If Zelda is all they are showing at E3 Im sure it will do nothing but add further damage to an already damaged Nintendo. I am actually praying that Nintendo are bare faced liars and fully intend to reveal NX and other wii u games at E3, but I highly doubt that is the case. I think Nintendo just simply dont care about Wii U anymore and would rather remain silent until the NX reveal.
