What was supposed to be confusing about it? Big handheld device that you could take places and also put in a thing to connect it to a TV. Seemed straightforward enough to me?
@fenlix Yeah, what was up with that? I've seen the same sentiment on other sites too. Now that I've played a bit, it's definitely the kind of game I want to play as blind as possible, but like, in a normal experiencing the game for myself way, not the "whatever you do, don't look up a single thing about this game!!" way seemingly everyone has been pushing.
I can't say for sure if I have battery issues or if it was just the specific games I played in handheld since the update (more likely, the second round of ACNH was fine) but I definitely had issues with extremely slow download speeds the past week.
It's nice that we can get on the float now, I never even got into 100x battles in most Splatfests. But my favorite part is the scales in capsules. Getting to a boss in the random queue is a pain.
Gotta keep my old copy around for nostalgia purposes, but the more Suikoden games, the better. Hopefully these are successful enough to port the rest of the series as well.
And here I thought Level 5 finally got their act together after the atrocious localization times of the 3DS era. Sigh.
Between this and the Suikoden remasters, it's kind of funny both my unrealistic pipe dreams got announced in the same year only to get delayed for who knows how long...
So you have to own the pack first and send it to them? I don't think that's going to help with picking which ones to purchase, or am I missing something?
And I don't know about other countries, but back when I still bought cards, stores didn't give you free access to the packs. If that's still the case, portable scanners wouldn't help much either.
And the whole idea sounds absurd anyway. Not to mention screwing regular buyers over, but who cares about that when there's money to be made.
I tried to order it the first time (and never got notified of the restock despite being on the mailing list) and now I don't even care enough to look up what "select retailers" might have it in my country.
I don't "move on" I'll get the new one at some point if I like it and use it alongside all my old consoles depending on what game(s) I feel like playing.
"But such design is premised on the notion of gameplay being compelling enough for you to want to do it all again." That is my main issue with this type of game, even if it's compelling, I still hate being set back and having to repeat the things I already did.
I thought that would be my biggest problem, but.
"In Overmorrow’s second half, brief physical contact with obstacles like black holes, jellyfish, or falling into lava after making the wrong control input over a narrow dungeon path costs you an entire day." What.
I never got any hits anywhere except one ir two when I specifically hung out at the train station for a few hours. If they do this again and lock game content behind it, hacking the damn thing is the first thing I'm going to do.
This is playing out exactly like Fashion Dreamer - except that game has free online, doesn't look quite as soulless, coordinating outfits is more engaging than scanning things in disappointingly bland environments, and the multiplayer doesn't clash so hard with the general nature of the game.
I didn't think a game could feel less barebones than FD, but if it wasn't published by Nintendo themselves, I'd wonder if they accidentally shipped some early build instead of the full game.
Seems like even for what it is, it still lacks substance. Oh well, games drop in price here really fast (sometimes right after release) so I'm sure I'll be able to get it for a more appropriate price at some point.
Only when I can be sure the singleplayer content is a significant part of the game and not just an afterthought, and I'm not required to play multiplayer for anything. I'm not going to pay that much for another Fashion Dreamer situation (and that game even had free online).
I still can't tell what they want this game to be. Half of the marketing is calm, relaxing, almost meditative footage, the other half is shoving large groups of players and communication spam in your face at every opportunity while singleplayer features are mentioned in an offhand sentence on the website. These two things clash so hard I genuinely have no idea what to think about this.
And now it's been replaced by the one they actually meant to post. 😁 Not a big fan of the new Color Pulse version, but We're So Back was nice. Liked it better than the Squid Sisters day 2 song.
They either manage to beat it, or the one who made it will be the creator of the only unbeaten level on official servers. Both outcomes are pretty impressive.
Small correction to the corrections: the gifts don't need an online check either, they just read the date you set on your Switch. I used to catch up on birthdays/releases I missed all the time after not playing for a while and it never cared about the real date.
Guaranteed redownloads and unlimited free memory cards for the rest of my life and at least 50% off every price. Otherwise physical is much cheaper for me.
The image of the Japanese one looks... less than ideal. Definitely not great to just copypaste the same thing three times. Surely there are better themes than a name preference.
Hopefully people can now shut up and stop sabotaging tricolor matches over their weird idol wars.
I prefer Ages first because it has more story bits between dungeons. Seasons can feel a little empty, but the added content in a linked game alleviates that. It just feels better balanced overall.
Plus, if you're a true completionist, playing both ways ends with a linked Ages playthrough and a complete Labrynna map, since there is one tile you cannot access unlinked.
@Bratwurst35
No need to act like that. Nothing wrong with being upset about those prices, I think they suck too, but it does get a bit annoying. Particularly when every time Europe gets the crap end of the deal most of the time, but when we complain, it doesn't really matter or we get that "you're welcome to move here" nonsense like we attacked you personally somehow.

It's probably not too bad though, it's USK 16 in Germany and our ratings are usually very strict when it comes to violence.
