I just wish there was a way to remove specific lockers from being displayed in my game. I'd like to see a few creative ones, having the same Moai heads with glasses and robot mascot things take up 80% of my locker room is just boring.
As someone who skipped a handful of consoles because I can't justify buying them for just one or two games that appeal to me, I always appreciate it when those games get remasters for a console I do own.
And if I don't want to pay full price, there's always ways around that too.
It doesn't even matter if the story in SWSH is good or bad, because you don't get to be part of it. Every time something moderately interesting happens, you get a bunch of NPCs swooping in and telling you to just continue your challenge. Makes me wonder if the people responsible for this know what "protagonist" means.
XY just felt like they were making a gen 1 remake and halfway through the game someone remembered that games have stories, then they slapped on a half-baked exposition textbox with a giant old man model and called it a day.
@BooJoh I could keep up pretty well with just the site missions and Mario Run, as long as we got AC and one other game every month and a special game every other. Now we'll likely have two special months in a row thanks to Splatoon, and next year we'll lose the 30 weekly points from logging into the eShop... and I really can't dedicate more phone space and time to the bigger games. I can only hope they'll slow down again eventually.
At least the Splatoon demo should count as another 100 point mission.
Sounds nothing like a Pokemon battle theme, but at least it sounds enjoyable and doesn't make me want to turn the sound off like the one he did for SwSh.
It's probably unlikely that the average person hits the limit, but considering the outcries every time a digital store closes or something gets delisted, "just delete games" isn't really the ideal solution.
I'm at 626 icons right now and plenty of those are demos I can delete at some point, but still.
I was super excited for Live A Live and now I can't even care there's a demo for it, that's how happy this announcement makes me. Now hopefully it does well enough that we get the other games too.
@Tom-Massey Sounds like it was initially refused a rating (which isn't quite the same as being banned) but as of now, it's available on the eShop, rated USK18. I'm not sure if anything has been altered/censored, the shop on the console lists a much later June 2019 release, but the rating is higher than the standard USK16 for this type of game.
If it's banned in Germany, someone hasn't told the German eShop yet. Looks perfectly purchaseable to me.
To my knowledge none of these games involving schoolgirls have been banned here, usually they don't even get a mature rating like their NA counterparts.
There's being uninformed about the finer details of gaming and there's low comprehension of how technology works, but please don't tell me anyone genuinely believed a device will "burst into flames" and "melt" and "shoot parts across the room" 😟
The boy has got to be the most boring trainer design I've ever seen, and now the girl got dragged into that too. Hopefully both will get good and varied customization options this time around.
As for the cat, I don't understand the obsession with perfect symmetry and likely never will.
I like this. I'd like it more if it was possible to earn enough coins to get everything without playing one of the mobile games, so hopefully old icons come back at some point.
Gold coins are free credit and you'd be surprised how many people selling their used games didn't redeem them.
I just hope they'll circle back in like the badges on 3DS. Not sure if it's possible to earn enough points to keep up with weekly changes and several hundred Animal Crossing characters (and just wait until they get to Pokemon...)
It's not like platinum points are needed for anything else, the missions barely take any effort, and judging by the AC icons there's a decent chance to get access to avatars of less popular chatacters if you happen to have more obscure favorites. Seems like the only real problem with it is that it isn't the other things people want?
Funny they said that because I was interested before, but battle passes are the second fastest way to kill my entire interest in a game and spit on its grave.
It might have been a joke, but I just started playing Ocarina of Time for the first time and the "overworld" (really just a hub room) is the single most annoying overworld I've ever encountered. It makes me actively avoid traveling between places and exploring, which is kind of the opposite of what I want to feel in a Zelda game (usually I go wherever I can as soon as I can, and take note of intetesting places, here I'm just like "eh, I'll come back later when I have all the tools")
Without the novelty of being the first 3D Zelda with a generous helping of nostalgia, I really don't see the hype.
Patents aside, it's starting to look like I'll have to skip this one. I'm already incapable of aiming at moving targets in BotW when I am not moving myself.
Every time I read and article like this, or that people can't do mothing for ten minutes without getting seriously nervous or thatmore specific thing about how people with glucose monitors getting too stressed out should "only" check every 15 minutes, my brain just nopes out. I'm not even that old. But apparently I'm mentally lagging behind so much that I never even entered that mindset and thus can't comprehend it at all. It's just sad that people have to be (re)taught to figuratively breathe.
But people can pay full price for renting a game that requires a constant good internet connection to be playable and can be pulled anytime they want, that's not too much money of course.
There's really just two or three people in here who don't think he's serious? The only person I've ever seen word things like this without it being an intentional joke was a certain ex-president.
I played both of them and actually considered getting a cheap copy of the second game for replays. Now both in a bundle would have been better, or even a sequel with the less tedious café management from the second game and better combat systems from the first.
The fangirl in me is pleased. Now I'd like Astor to be the last playable character because this game lacks magic movesets, Sooga seems more likely and I'm don't have faith that it will be either of them until it's confirmed.

Re: Konami Is Bringing Suikoden I & II Back With HD Remasters On Switch Next Year
Literally my most wanted port/remaster, day 1 purchase for me.
I just wish HD remasters in general would go a little less overboard with the added effects.

Re: 'The Legend Of Zelda: Tears Of The Kingdom' Launches In May 2023
The air stuff has killed my interest in this game entirely, I'm afraid.
Re: Poll: Splatoon 3 Is Now Available For Nintendo Switch, Are You Getting It?
I was already playing 8 hours before release, my copy came in early.
Re: Poll: Do You Actually Want Switch Ports Of Wind Waker And Twilight Princess?
I wouldn't say hyped, but yes, I want both.
Re: Nintendo Reiterates That Splatoon 3's 'Salmon Run' Mode Will Be Available 24/7
S2 reset your rank points if you didn't get a new rank before the shift closed, hopefully no more of that either.

Re: Game Journalist Doubles Down On Zelda News At Upcoming Nintendo Direct
Just keep saying things until they happen and you can claim you knew all along.
That said, Wind Waker and Twilight Princess are the only Zelda games I don't own/can't play legally, so that'd be nice.
Re: Hands On: Splatoon 3 Brings New Ideas, But Nothing Revolutionary
The egg throwing mechanic sounds less useful than I expected, but I still hope it stops people from egg camping the whole round.

I also prefer everything in Scarlet except the legendary, and I REALLY like Miraidon :/

Looks like I'm only missing the Mario Golf theme. Nice.
Re: Fire Emblem Fates Sales Will End On The 3DS eShop In February 2023
This wouldn't be an issue if Fire Emblem games just gave you eShop access from the title screen like any other game.
Re: Talking Point: Would You Mind If Nintendo Retired The 'Big' Nintendo Direct Format?
Take notes of everything that looks interesting to you and nothing will get lost no matter what hype announcement they throw at you.
I like watching announcements without knowing what they are. Anything else just isn't all that interesting.
Re: Random: Voice Of Zelda In CD-i Games Would Love To Return To The Role
Say what you will about those games, but most of their German voice acting was legitimately good.

I'll have to wait and see what exactly we can do in the game. The wild area was one of my least favorite things in the whole series.
