Re: Amazingly, Zelda: Ocarina Of Time Is Nintendo's Only UK Christmas Number 1 Since 1984

Manah

It might have been a joke, but I just started playing Ocarina of Time for the first time and the "overworld" (really just a hub room) is the single most annoying overworld I've ever encountered. It makes me actively avoid traveling between places and exploring, which is kind of the opposite of what I want to feel in a Zelda game (usually I go wherever I can as soon as I can, and take note of intetesting places, here I'm just like "eh, I'll come back later when I have all the tools")

Without the novelty of being the first 3D Zelda with a generous helping of nostalgia, I really don't see the hype.

Re: Feature: Psychologists Talk Animal Crossing: New Horizons 2.0 And Keeping Fun Ahead Of FOMO

Every time I read and article like this, or that people can't do mothing for ten minutes without getting seriously nervous or thatmore specific thing about how people with glucose monitors getting too stressed out should "only" check every 15 minutes, my brain just nopes out. I'm not even that old. But apparently I'm mentally lagging behind so much that I never even entered that mindset and thus can't comprehend it at all. It's just sad that people have to be (re)taught to figuratively breathe.

Re: Talking Point: Which Video Game Song Could You Listen To For Ten Hours?

Manah

Hard to say as I don't have the focus to actually listen to anything for more than half an hour or so, so anything that isn't obnoxiously grating* fades into background music really fast.

*I have managed to "listen" to Hong Kong 97 for an hour because apparently I can even tune that out. Don't question me, it was a bet.

Re: Square Enix Says A Console Version Of Final Fantasy Pixel Remaster Depends On Demand

Manah

Obviously.

Though if demand means I have to buy them first on a platform I don't care about just so I can buy them again where I actually want them, not really. And either way this feels like those Atlus surveys pretending not to know what people want. Offer the product I want and I'll buy it, or don't and I won't, and get your kick out of of people begging elsewhere.
