What's the point in collecting physical games as bad as Troll and I or Super Putty, or games that are incomplete in their physical version like LA Noire? I just don't get it and I'm happy that I don't get it. I can understand the pleasure of collecting things that you like and are valuable but bad games are just trash and incomplete games are trash as well in their physical version. Poor guy spent a lot of money in garbage while he could have saved for other games much more worth of it instead...
The very first day I bought my Switch (launch day) I also made a box with cardboard to cover the dock when I remove Switch from it. Cardboard can be very useful in many occasions. I usually keep my Switch inside my backpack when I'm not using it so I use that cover quite often.
When I was a child I liked Sonic more than Mario because he was an animal. I preferred animal characters back then. I found human characters too common and normal, I wanted characters in my games to be more unique
News section is not even good. I don't think it is important so I don't care, but it is quite an useless mess, I never used wishlist before but now on Switch I have started to put games in my wishlist after I tried the news section and saw how useless and dispersive it is. Thinking that it took almost one year to create it is unbelievable, it makes me sad... How can Nintendo create such beautiful games, such fantastic consoles, and then struggle so much with trivial things like that??? It's paradoxical O_O Well I'm thankful it is not something really necessary, no matter if it's bad I don't care that much about it anyway But still it is really unbelievable lol
@noobish_hat to tell the truth, in my opinion they shouldn't have given the option to pre-order a digital copy of a game in the first place. It feels like trying to take advantage of people who get caught by hype imho. And I agree that they have to follow the law of Europe when they sell things in Europe. But at the same time people should be responsible with their own money but often they are not.
@noobish_hat even if Nintendo let you cancel the order and refund you, they won't give you back real money, they would just return your credit to your account, so it's not like you could use those money for something more important than other games anyway.
You also absolutely should not pre-order a game (expecially the digital version of a game that will always be available immediately when you want to purchase it) if you are not more than sure that you can afford to spend the money for it.
I don't get it. I see 3 different windows with the game running (seems like a hack because I don't remember those stars in those places honestly), Mario never touches any star in those windows and all of a sudden the guy say "he got a star, he got a star" I just don't understand. Nothing special happens in any of those three windows, Mario just keep running, pound the ground and nothing else. Stars are visible but he never touches one.
The complaint is fair, but at the same time people should have more self consciousness about the things they pre-order. If you pre-order something it should mean that you already know you really want it. If somebody pre-orders a game and then decides he does not want it anymore even before he has a chance to try it it's just his own fault. The e-shop don't have this function but if something like this happens it is not the e-shop but the customer the one to blame
This game was insanely unfair. I'm not going to try it again even if they rebalanced it. It was just not fun at all and I don't think I can get past the terrible first impression I had with it. It was so unfair that it is probably still too hard to be enjoyable for me and it was not worth so much effort.
I like Lovecraft books and this trailer does nothing to remind me about them. Imo this is completely uninteresting. Give me GC Virtual Console and Eternal Darkness please! MS-DOS Virtual console + Alone in the dark 1 would be a great thing too.
@kobashi100 the problem is my willpower is extremely weak I'm not able to disregard functions like those when they are available and there's not even an option to turn them off.
Also when a game works like that if I use such functions I feel like the game is stupid, if I don't use them I can't help but feel like I am stupid, so the game is ruined either way for me.
I really hate rewind function in racing games... and in most games in general anyway.. it just makes the whole game meaningless, it makes completely pointless playing it imo
I was waiting for Fatal Fury 3, I had it on Wii and I always liked this game. I bought it and already played it a little bit. This is the first Neo Geo game that I was genuinely waiting for, even if there have already been others that I enjoyed too
@Anti-Matter I'm in the same boat as you, I hate mobile gaming and I don't even play Nintendo official games on mobile phones but still there are out there many poeople who don't want to play videogames and there will always be people who don't want to play videogames. People should always remain realistic expecially when they are talking about their job. I'd love a world where everybody owns a Nintendo console but this will never happen. Even more so if Nintendo really wants to keep such a strict focus on only gaming and nothing else. But anyway the only way Nintendo could compete with phones would be making phones themselves. Honestly I wouldn't be a big fan of Nintendo smartphones even if I am a big fan of Nintendo
I have this game on Pc, I tried it but I really can't get into it. I like this genre usually but this game feels boring and really I couldn't care less for the characters or the background lore. Maybe it's just a matter of taste but I was disappointed by this game, I just don't like it
@roadrunner343 Having to use special tools to update your hacked console don't mean that Nintendo can't patch it, in fact it is the opposite! You have to get alternative updates made specifically for the hacked console because official Nintendo updates would recognize the hack and mess with it (disabling it or the whole console itself)
@impurekind I tried to hack the first XBox because I did not like it and since I bought it and had it around I tought I could have some fun trying something different with it, I brought it to people who were used to hack consoles, and after a few weeks it stopped working.
Not that I cared that much because I never liked it, but it was a damage anyway.
@sirdupre I think that Nintendo could still patch a function that checks if the hack has been made and then either erase it or prevents the console from functioning anymore (it is stated that if you make changes to your console or try to hack it they are no longer responsible if it stop functioning) Also if they correct the problem in the new consoles it would be a major drawback for pirates anyway: only a relatively small number of consoles could be hacked... it would only makes those older consoles more valuable for some people but people would know that they can't just walk inside a shop, buy their new Switch and hack it anytime.
Interesting. I have it on PC. I love Nights stage. I also like Golden Axe and Panzer Dragon stages. I miss a Green Hill stage. I wanted a port of that game for Switch, I'll look forward to this new game for sure. I hope it will still have at least Nights and Golden Axe stages and they could add Green Hill maybe? I hope it will support Miis too!
I like Crash Bandicoot 2. Crash Bandicoot 3 could benefit A LOT from a remake that improves its graphics. (graphics in the second game were very pleasant already in the original PS1 game! ). It's not my priority but I would be glad to have those games on Switch and I'll probably buy them rather soon after their release, maybe even at launch depending on the situation
I think this movie could be good. I don't expect it to be good honestly, but it definitely could be. You can make good movies with one dimensional characters too. You just have to be aware of what you are doing
I loved many Virtual Console games. I'm sad that this service will be discontinued, I hope that from now on Nintendo will just make new versions of the Switch keeping them retrocompatible and not shutting down services and games. If one would buy now a digital game for Wii he will not be able to download it again if he has problems in the future. Unfortunately it makes no sense at all downloading those games now because the risk to lose them soon is too high. If consoles were made with more continuity between them Switch would use the same eShop that Wii did, the service would not be discontinued and buying games for Wii would be a lot safer even now. I hope things will change from now on.
Me too I don't like Labo but I don't expect to see only things that I like on my consoles. All the consoles I love from the past had games that I don't like, I never bought those games and never had problems, I'll just do the same with Switch.
I almost never like games known for how hard they are and usually boss fights are the part I enjoy the least in action adventure games. I also already have fantasy games I like on Switch and more are to come so I'm pretty sure this one is not for me
Sonic CD is not bad but its mechanics are too complex and makes it too convoluted compared to other Sonic games. Some of the later stages also have a disappointing and cheap design. Sonic CD is good but not the best and is very unbalanced. Sonic Mania is a great game, better than Sonic CD, but Sonic 1 is the best one
What's wrong with the bartender lol? I'm not sure if he is genuinely disgusted or if he just feels jealous watching people that are still able to play and have fun. Either way he makes me sad.
@HappyMaskedGuy if it is true what Spizzamarozzi said he probably got mistreated at work and his superiors were @$$h**es with their emplyees and he just stole things he wanted hoping at the same time to damage those people who mistreated him. He did something wrong probably for shallow motives but it is very likely that his superiors behave even worse than him and their behaviour encouraged him to do so
In my opinion the best Mario game is Super Mario Galaxy 1. Super Mario Odyssey of course is better than Super Mario 64, but if you consider how older Super Mario 64 is it is still impressively close to the quality of Super Mario Odyssey. The only Mario game I don't like is Super Mario Galaxy 2. It was such a disappointment.
I'm not interested either. Expecially in VR because of two reasons: VR for the most part is intended for first person games and I hate first person perspective, and also I would feel anxious with a device that alter so much my perceptions of what I have around me. Games are good as long as they feel like games and I have complete control over them. VR is a little too much for my taste I think it could even give me panic attacks - no thanks.
To the people who say that those things are already on phones and tablets and why one could want them on Switch, I hate using phones and tablets because they don't have phisical buttons, if I want a multimedia app I want it on Switch because Switch have physical buttons and d-pad by default both in portable mode and of course when you use it on tv. Also it is more convenient to have it on the same device I have my favourite games too. I don't use apps that are interesting for me on my smartphone because I hate touch screen controls so I don't enjoy them as I would on Switch.
