I've already bought Jotun Valhalla Edition from the discounts available today on the Wii U eShop.
Toki Tori 2+ game should be a mandatory purchase for anyone who has never played it before, it' s an amazing game. I bought it on Wii U for around €2 I think when it was on sale. Pound for pound it's probably one of the best purchases I've ever made in terms of value. Easily one of my favourite games, its cute presentation is deceptive as it's an ingenious game with its puzzles.
Owlboy looks beautiful too and the music from its launch trailer is absolutely stunning.
Aqua kitty and Samurai Aces; Owlboy will be physical.
Toki Tori 2 is on Switch? When did that happen?
@justin233 It's happening next week(February 23rd) but it's available to pre-order this week, NL seem to have missed that.
"Toki Tori 2+: Nintendo Switch Edition (Two Tribes Publishing) - €14.99 (€9.99 until March 9)
Pre-order until 23/02/2018, 10:00 CET
Game description: Explore an enthralling forest island, learn magical songs and interact with the local wildlife to solve environmental puzzles.
Toki Tori 2+’s ingenious game design requires just two moves: whistle and stomp. It's super accessible, yet it builds up to incredible complexity later on.
There’s a ton to do, too. After puzzle-solving your way to five Ancient Frogs and saving the island from a strange pollution, you can still find 100s of golden wings, snap dozens of creature pictures and go Achievement hunting."
@SLIGEACH_EIRE Ah - I just learned that over at GoNintendo. Glad I never got the Wii U version.
I do want to buy a few games listed, but with Bayonetta 2 coming tomorrow, I can't justify the purchases right now.
Hope Toki Tori 2+ comes to NA soon. Loved the first on Wii. Environmental puzzle games are so few.
Waiting on Physical Bayonetta 2 hopefully before weekend, but doubt it.
Anyone heard of Fe getting a physical release?
Finally it will be Axiom verge for me, on the Wii u.
Already bought Owlboy and loving it. Gonna get Fe tomorrow and Bayonetta 1+2 physically on Saturday.
I can highly recommend Owlboy. It is an absolutely stunning game with beautiful pixel art, great soundtrack and a heart wrenching story about depression, neglect, bullying, remorse and self-sacrifice. It made me cry at the end.
Limited gaming time: do I buy Golf Story on sale today, or Owlboy, or Stardew Valley, or Night In The Woods?
@MuteOtus ...although maybe I should follow your Owlboy recommendation!
@Blister I'm pretty sure you'll love it.
We've had some issue with the automation of the review links, but I've amended them so they should work fine now.
Where's Data East's GATE OF DOOM aka DARK SEAL? The game has been released in the North American eShop today I believe? This the first arcade game from that Johnny Turbo label of Flying Dragon or some such.
Anyone know if and when it is coming to the UK store?
Good to see we still got Psikyo's SAMURAI ACES from ZeroDiv day and date with the States. I'll be grabbing both of those asap and THE FALL: PART 2 will head to the wishlist for a later date.
Finally, I also took delivery today of FIFA 18 physical for £23 off Amazon UK. I'm supposed to be on a buying ban, ha! ha!
Wow, I might have to splurge on some 3DS games with those half-price SMT and Etrian Odyssey 5, and the new Radiant Historia. Great job, Atlus, for keeping the 3DS ticking along.
I got Owlboy great game but a little buggy it’s crashed on me 2 times so far
That Etrian Odyssey V sale is nice if I hadn't bought Radiant Histora I would go for it for sure.
Getting Bayonetta 1 and 2 and Dragon Quest Builders from last week.
Nothing now, just bought on sale Golf Story, Enter the Gungeon and Overcooked. Let's see again when sales come for these.
Joe Devers Lone Wolf
$12.99
£13.49
😡
I was waiting for Fatal Fury 3, I had it on Wii and I always liked this game. I bought it and already played it a little bit. This is the first Neo Geo game that I was genuinely waiting for, even if there have already been others that I enjoyed too
Axiom verge for me.
Still got 4 games from last weeks sale I haven't touched...
Bayonetta and Fe join my waitlist. Desperately trying to avoid a colossal backlog on this console...
Got Samurai Aces, plays great in TATE mode with my Hori stand, just like the other vertical Psikyo arcade games (Strikers 1945, Gunbird, Gunbarich).
I already have Radiant Historia on the way which I'm hyped about after loving the demo!
I also really want Owlboy,Fe and Bayonetta 1 and 2 but don't know when I'll get the time to play them all..
Owlboy, Axiom Verge and hopefully Fe if it's any good.
Bayonetta will be a download with my physical copy of Bayonetta 2
@Dom any plans to add the nothing for me option to the voting again!
@Lord There you go
@Dom Thank you for bringing it back!
@BulkSlash No worries!
@Dom You know, it really is ironic: You kept emphasizing how you would favor personal analysis of the weekly Japanese sales charts over the (how you would call them) "cold" bare facts.
Yet, these weekly download news are the epitomy of soullessness as you honestly just repeat and quote PR babbling. It is extremely hard to stick with these texts as they are so blatantly promotional. What once had been my favorite news of the week is now barely acceptable. I mean, just look at the Fe text: A new kind of platformer? Because it doesn't tell you its story? That is just stupid.
@Blister don’t know how much golf story is at the moment but it is a superb title with hours of gameplay in it.
Etrian Odyssey V is already cheap? Well. I hope it still sold fairly well before that
@KeeperBvK I appreciate your feedback, but I don't think you appreciate how much work goes into collating all that information. Twice. The Downloads aren't designed to reflect the consistent personality we present elsewhere. It's just a roundup of prices and releases.
@Dom I would take that away its more positive to see what games people intend to purchase, that's the point of the poll? I think it's a negative thing to have the nothing for me option... Just my opinion, hope you're enjoying the new job.
@MartyFlanMJFan I don't mind. Some people like to have a button that says 'meh' so we oblige
Bought Owlboy, rented Bayonetta 2 and I've bought Fe on Xbox, figuring that if a Physical copy is to come it would be more likely on Switch rather than Xbox.
Sorry, I meant to post this in my first comment yesterday but forgot. How? So we're all in agreement that Fat Dragons for Wii U is "Game of the Week" and a strong contender already for GOTM.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=csGVelWOPM4
I look forward to NintendoLife's glowing review.
Jotun Valhalla Edition at that price is a bargain!
@SLIGEACH_EIRE Basically it's Balloon Fight but with fat dragons instead. What lovely sound effects too, nobody's every going to get bored of them.
@taffy Yeah, I'm so getting Jotun, almost forgot about it being on my "games to get" list.
Am I the only one who finds the Samurai Aces bit impossible to read? Google translated much?
Hmm...no Gate of Doom for EU?
@darthstuey Yes, thanks - I went for Golf Story for £10 in the end. I'm finding it really charming so far. 😁
I really want to play Axiom Verge, but I'd love to have the Wii U physical edition (which I'm afraid might be cancelled)... Guess I'll wait for now.
