Re: Review: KORG Gadget (Switch eShop)

LuckyLand

@JayJ this is not the only thing. I love Nintendo games too. And I hate touchscreens, so I don't want to use a tablet for this. Switch has real buttons. It is not the only thing I'm looking for, but it is still very important for me.

Re: Review: KORG Gadget (Switch eShop)

LuckyLand

@JayJ It isn't meant to be a device to create contents with professional tools either, but this one is clearly not a console game.
Maybe people like me who want media players are the minority, but I'm sure that people who are interested in buying a tool to create music (a real tool, not Electroplankton) are even less, far less. But here it is, a tool to make music. It's crazy.

Re: Nintendo's Mobile Titles Have "Not Reached A Satisfactory Profit Point"

LuckyLand

Honestly I'm glad to hear that. I prefer if Nintendo will keep focusing only on its own consoles and forget all this mobile nonsense. They want us to use Switch along with a smartphone, this is bs for me. We as users and Switch as a console deserve to have a device that don't rely on anything else and give us all the functionalities it can handle.
If I have the ability to post images on twitter with my console I should also be able to view twitter posts with the same console. Just to make an example. Switch is a great device and it has fantastic potential, but Nintendo itself seem scared to let it reach its full potential for somd reason

Re: Nintendo Switch Version 5.0.2 Is Now Live

LuckyLand

@HappyMaskedGuy if Nintendo don't give us all te features we want on Switch 1 they will have more selling point for the Switch 2 when they will release it with all those things.
Except the save data backup of courae because they will only give you the cloud option so you will need to pay the subacription to use it.

Re: Sega Announces AGES For Nintendo Switch, Mega Drive Mini Console

LuckyLand

Sega Ages for Switch! I love Sonic, I hope that Golden Axe will be included too. There are other games I would like too, Ristar, Nights, Panzer Dragon. I'll be honest I don't care at all if Shenmue don't come to Switch I never liked it, I am just so happy for Sega ages and the many games that I like a lot more than Shenmue. I am a really happy Switch owner right now

Re: Review: Spartan (Switch eShop)

LuckyLand

looks like a nice and fun game but very cheap too. But the price is not cheap enough, not even nearly. I am sure it will be on discount very soon and then it will be a more fair deal.

Re: Review: Tesla Vs Lovecraft (Switch eShop)

LuckyLand

@Nincompoop I'm a fan of Lovecraft and I don't like King... it would be a lot of fun to kill everything King created with some eldritch abomination. This is why I'm not sure about this game. I don't want to fight against Lovecraft and I don't care about Tesla...

Re: Team Xecutor Confirms Its Upcoming Switch Hacking Device Will Work With All Firmwares

LuckyLand

@Cosats And honestly, I was tempted to mod my 3DS to play Golden Axe with it, because it was the only thing that I always missed in that console. I've never modded it, I don't even know how to mod a 3DS actually, but I have bought Golden Axe on Wii, on PS3, on PC, and I bought collections with Golden Axe on PS2 and on PSVita. After buying so many different times that game I wouldn't feel like a thief if I played a pirated rom of it on 3DS only because they did not make it available for purchase. I would have been extremely glad to buy it AND I have already bought it more than once. Would you consider that theft? I absolutely won't.

Re: Team Xecutor Confirms Its Upcoming Switch Hacking Device Will Work With All Firmwares

LuckyLand

@Cosats As I said I am against mods and I don't want to encourage it anyway. I only want Nintendo to understand that Switch should have more features and that people who want those features know that they could become available with a mod.
I'm not saying poor people should be allowed to steal games because they can't afford them, this is a completely different thing I'm talking about.
Let's talk about saves backup. Nintendo refuses to give us this function because they fear it could make the console more vulnerable but at the same time they make us feel the need to mod the console to be able to keep our saved data backups. Someone could mod their console only for a reason like that and then as time passes he could begin to play pirated games because his console is already modded anyway, so what he has to lose? Nintendo should learn to evaluate better this situation and understand that sometimes is more effective to discourage piracy giving customers what they ask for rather than blindly thinking only about their systems to protect the console from actual mod attempts.

Re: Team Xecutor Confirms Its Upcoming Switch Hacking Device Will Work With All Firmwares

LuckyLand

@Cosats I hope that people at Nintendo HQ will read the comments too, and realize that there are people who don't want to mod their consoles, do WANT to PAY official virtual console games, loves Switch but are not happy with the various things it lacks, things that everybody knows would become available with a mod.
I don't want to mod my console and I don't want to encourage mods, I only want Nintendo to understand that sometimes they encourage it themselves with their behaviours.

Re: Team Xecutor Confirms Its Upcoming Switch Hacking Device Will Work With All Firmwares

LuckyLand

I don't want to use mod chips because I want to keep my console as it was intended to be and I also fear that mods could damage it, but the lack of multimedia players, lack of Virtual console and lack of saves backup really makes me think how satisfying could be to have all those things in my Switch and that with a mod I couyld have them. I don't really want to mod my Switch, but Nintendo itself gives me the desire to do so sometimes, to be able to do more things with it.

Re: Here's How The Nvidia Shield Port Of Mario Galaxy Handles The Lack Of Motion Controls

LuckyLand

The only games that really needed motion controls were Trauma center and Endless Ocean. In those games motion controls were great and amazing. I loved Wii and many Wii games, Mario Galaxy is one of my favourite games ever and it is great, but usually I've never been a big fan of motion controls in most of the games and Mario Galaxy could have been even better with standard controls in my opinion.

Re: Video: Ever Wondered Why Joysticks Are Always On The Left?

LuckyLand

I think you need more precision to press buttons rather than to move a stick, I am right handed and I am sure it is easier for us right handed people that way. You also often push buttons more rapidly than you change directions so you both need more strenght and more precision for the buttons I think. Therefore having the stick on the left for us makes sense imo

Re: Funimation Really Wants Goku To Join The Roster In Super Smash Bros

LuckyLand

Goku and Dragon ball have nothing to do with Super Smash Bros. I don't even like Dragon Ball that much as a whole so it wouldn't make me happy to see Goku in Smash Bros but as long as the characters and stages that I like are included I don't think I can have anything against it. I don't think Solid Snake and Bayonetta were fit for that game either, but I had a lot of fun with Smash Bros Brawl even if there was Snake.

Re: Get Ready To Share Your Emotions With Sally's Law On Switch

LuckyLand

Honestly I'm rather tired of those games that want to make you shed tears. I played many games in my life and the only one that made me cry is Child of Eden, and it was because of the utter joy and excitement I felt with all the colors and shapes dancing around me to the music. You want to see me cry? Port Child of Eden to Switch.
And to be completely honest, I felt moved by the photos in the ending and by how smart it was to put them there, I admit.

Re: The Games Industry Reacts To The White House's Violent Games Showreel

LuckyLand

Sometimes I have felt myself that there was too much violence and not enough joy in videogames, but what the White house tried to imply is completely wrong and I totally disagree. Games like Mortal Kombat X or Quake 4 are a bit too much for me and I think it is just bad taste when games reaches that point mindlessly but I just don't buy them and I don't think they can do any damage as long as they are played and viewed only by their own appropriate audience. When games like those "becomes dangerous" people and/or society are to blame, not the games, because adult people should know how to deal with games like those and to keep their children away from them

Re: White House Meeting With Industry Execs Focuses On Violence In Video Games

LuckyLand

@Anti-Matter Many things in nature are violent and cruel, you can ban every game, every movie and every manga you want but you will never be able to fix nature because nature is much more powerful than you are, so banning violent games and movies will never solve this problem.
I also believe honestly that this kind of contents harm a lot more sensitive people that feel bad when they see it than people who get triggered to act violent. People who act violent have far deeper reasons to be like that than simple videogames or movie. You only need to make sure that those games and those movies don't end up in the wrong hands (and in my country you can see scenes like those in huge screens inside stores like Game Stop where many children usually go)... Anyway violent movies and violent games don't trigger anything, and there is so much violence in nature anyway that banning violent games would be completely useless
