Re: Aonuma Wants to Keep Zelda: Breath of the Wild's Freedom in Future Games

LuckyLand

I think freedom is important and it is a good thing only in games that let you create your own characters and decide by yourself what your goals are. It would be great for Nintendo to try making a game this way and I'd be happy to try the resulting game but this game wouldn't be Zelda. In Zelda you are forced to be Link that, despite what many people say, is a predefined character, it is not your own, and the main goal will always be to defeat Ganondorf or a similar enemy, not something that you have chosen but something that the developers have chosen for you. This is why I think that Zelda games are better with less freedom. Freedom in a game that already has predetermined protagonists and predetermined main goals that are clearly more relevant than other side quests cannot be experienced to its fullest and will always be a watered down experience. Exactly what Breath of the wild is in my opinion

Re: Switch Hackers Declare That a Homebrew Launcher Will Be Available 'Soon'

LuckyLand

I hate so much this situation. I don't want to hack my Switch, but unless a real photo viewer will be legitimately available I am very tempted by homebrews. I want the new Photo channel. I don't want to hack my Switch but if Nintendo don't give me what I want I can't help but think that homebrews could do it. It is so frustrating. Sometimes I hate Nintendo so much

Re: Poll: Surprise! A New Zelda Is In Development, But What Do You Want From It?

LuckyLand

I just want a Zelda game with the same art direction as Twilight princess. I think the old classic formula works better for Zelda but since I'm not a fan of this series I would accept an open world too if they actually create a game that takes advantage from it. Breath of the wild was really devalued by the way they decided to make the open world, every interesting aspect of Zelda games was missing, they should do something really different to create a good open world Zelda. But for me the most important thing is that its aesthetics should be identical to Twilight princess.

Re: Mom Hid My Game! Gets a Festive Release on the Switch eShop

LuckyLand

gameplay videos on youtube are rather fun, expecially if the youtubers are more than one and make fun comments. It looks like a very fun game if you get it for free on mobile, but there's no way it is worth any money. But it is absolutely not the worst game ever made either. It is quite fun actually. Just get it on your phone or watch it on youtube, it is the best thing to do.

Re: Review: Slain: Back From Hell (Switch eShop)

LuckyLand

I have this game on Pc. It is just bad, it's not just the difficulty it also is dull and boring. Graphics are not that great and are a messy mix of pixel art and blurred crap in the background, this is not real pixel art, controls are awful, level design is completely random to the point that often there is no level design at all... I wanted this to be good, I bought it as soon as it was available on GoG but it is just plain bad unfortunately.

Re: Resident Evil Nearly Got its Start on the SNES

LuckyLand

I don't like Resident Evil, and the thing I hate the most about itr is that it is too much realistic. I hate viruses, zombies and experiments, I prefer demons, ghosts, magic and supernatural things so if the older version was so much different and so less realistic I would have liked it more probably.

Re: Talking Point: What Games Are You Playing This Weekend - Countdown to the Holidays

LuckyLand

Skyrim for sure, both on Switch and on Pc. I'll try a little more Gear.Club too, at first it seemed a bit disappointing but I want to give it another chance. I wasn't expecting a great game but still I hoped for something a little better than what it seems to be now that I've tried it.
If really I can't like it I'll probably play some Mario Kart 8 have some fun and compensate the disappointment. Mario Kart is always great to play

Re: Review: The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim (Switch)

LuckyLand

I can't wait for midnight, when my digital copy will be unlocked. I won't go to bed until I'll have tried it! I'm so excited! I hope that this version of Skyrim will be a hit, at least enough to convince Bethesda that it would be a good idea to make an Oblivion remake for Switch, because this game is great, it is fantastic, it is immersive, but anything that this game is, Oblivion does it even better. Tonight one dream will become true, please Bethesda, make another one true too!!

Re: Nintendo Of Europe Isn't Happy About Broken Street Dates

LuckyLand

@the8thark the point of advertising is to sell your product. If people buy your product anyway who cares if they have seen your advertisement or not? And all the people who don't buy the game immediately can still see it if one really care that much about this thing that, let me tell you, sounds really pointless imho. The only thing that matter is how much money you gain, not how many advertisement people saw before buying your game

Re: Nintendo Of Europe Isn't Happy About Broken Street Dates

LuckyLand

I don't get it. Why Nintendo is bothered by something that is " not fair to other retailers who do honour the street date"? I don't understand this kind of problems probably but I can see why it is a bad thing for shops that don't break the launch date but why it is a problem for Nintendo too?

Re: Ubisoft Thinks The Next Console Cycle Isn't Far Away, So Where Does That Leave Switch?

LuckyLand

Third party support don't necessarily mean multi-platform games. If next-gen consoles will come soon and Switch won't be able to properly run most of their games third parties could still develop games for it as long as it is a succesful console and it offers at least a decent amount of consumers to buy those games. I didn't buy a Switch to play multi-platform games and honestly I don't think many people did. Most of the people who buoght Switch knew what to expect and all of us would like a good third parties support of course but we know that probably we won't see many new multi-platform games and I can tell you I don't care that much about them except for a few ones.

Re: Reggie on Backing Up Your Saves with the Switch

LuckyLand

@Yasaal I don't think he means that they find it difficult to implement cloud saves, I think he mean that they find it difficult to consider cloud saves the only solution for a system that must guarantee portable functionality as well. And I am happy to hear that because I value local backup more than cloud backup and I think that they are trying to create something that include some sort of local backup too for us, but at the same time they are trying to protect their system from piracy, so they have some difficulty in that sense, I can understand that. I justy hope they will come up with something soon

Re: Reggie on Backing Up Your Saves with the Switch

LuckyLand

I hope they will allow saves backup to an external media, and now I feel quite optimistic since what he told basically means that. The thing about Switch not being necessarily connected to the internet you know. For them could probably be a risk, save data could be used to hack the system and this is the main reason why they are cautious probably. But I really hope they will give us the option to locally backuyp saves to external media like the SD card or USB pen drives at least for Skyrim. Not only I'm going to put an enormous amount of time on this one (I have already done so on pc and I haven't even played the main quest) but I also will build my own character (I'll make a perfect copy using the console command "showracemenu" on pc to make sure he'll be exactly the same on every single value), and I already keep backups of my pc saves right now (other than the ones that Steam automatically keeps on its cloud). I'd like to consider the Switch one my "main" copy of this game from now on but I won't until I will be allowed to keep a backup of my saves

Re: Guide: Super Mario Odyssey amiibo Outfit Unlocks

LuckyLand

I think this game has enough goals in the moons and violet coins already. I wanted to play as doctor Mario and I unlocked it as soon as I could. I don't think unlocking something that you want to use ingame after a long while, maybe even near the end game or post end game could be considered more fun. I am happy to have an Amiibo that allow me to play the game the way I want since the beginning
