I had a Gold's Gym Cardio Workout game disc that had a boxing workout on it, and while rather basic, I really enjoyed it! I'm looking forward to something like this, as silly as it may seem!
I guess I'm in the minority...there are definitely Sega games I love (I just started playing Landstalker again!), but then there are games like this, that I thought looked like crap even back in 199x. I don't see a reason to revisit this game.
My favorite part: "For example, on October 15, 2015, Defendants promoted the availability of pirated copies of Nintendo’s games with the following announcement to the LoveROMs.com Facebook page: 'The complete Nintendo DS Collection has been uploaded, 5,000+ ROMs now readily available! Enjoy.' More recently, on January 30, 2018, Defendants posted the following announcement to the LoveROMs.com Facebook page: 'Direct Nintendo Wii downloads coming soon! We’re also adding some additional titles. Stay tuned.'"
I don't think that Mathias guy is going to get off easy even if he settles. I imagine he'll likely still have to pay a hefty settlement fee to Nintendo, but no where near as bad as if he took it to court.
Pro Tip: if you are running business, make sure your business model isn't ripping off a huge corporation (and posting it on Facebook).
@Liam_Doolan They added a "Switch option" on their Kickstarter pledge page. The dev's make it clear it won't be out until Dec 2019, but said people kept asking for a Switch option, so they created one. Maybe you can update the original story?
I just say "No thank you" to 3rd party controllers. I've had 2 many bad experiences with them, wearing out rather quickly. I'm always impressed at how long my Nintendo controllers last.
Ok, I'm a sucker for AC type games...I went and checked out their Kickstarter page...
They are a bunch of indies who have already released 5 games, latest one being "What the Box" on Xbox and "Rocket Fist" on the Switch, so they have a track record. There already is a playable demo, and the entry tier to back and get the game is only $20. It does look like you will have to pay again to get it on the Switch, when it is released in (they estimate) 2019...
I just might back this...
EDIT: I played the demo on my PC...I like it! The demo is very limited, but shows great promise. Interestingly, the in-game time runs faster (not like Animal Crossing, where the time stays pegged to real time) so you can accomplish a days worth of tasks in about an hour.
Why do people complain? Somebody wants to make a game, and the idea looks pretty good. Not sure if I will back it. At least it isn't another battle royale game!
News flash...a couple of immature Chinese trolls are just as bad as any other troll from any other part of the world.
I don't know much about the game...yeah, the art style seems like a pretty crude rip-off in some aspects. @Wanjia mentioned it was a Battle Royale, which I could see, as they would make a lot of money on a mobile platform.
Long story short, it isn't illegal to copy game mechanics, you can't copy (directly) in-game assets. You probably could imitate a lot of things and not get into legal trouble (which is why you see a lot of Zelda LttP clones here!), but most Western companies would not want the bother or the bad publicity. Currently in China, IP laws and protections are lax so this is going to happen. But this is the work of a few & not necessarily representative of everybody.
Welp, I love physical releases, and since I'm a "Prime" member, I can get this on cartridge for $31.99. This is a no-brainer, I just placed my order...
I find it odd that someone would be betting their profits would go down, as we are going to head into the holiday 2018 season, which should be the first holiday where there should be ample supply of the Switch. I see Switch sales continuing to climb, so will games, etc. And thus, profits will follow.
He still may "be right" but if he is basing his bet on the trends from the last couple of quarters, I think he is an idiot.
@Heavyarms55 In the "Game of Life" the easiest way to "keep score" and see "who won" is by how much money you have. Obviously, a lot of other people would keep score differently.
@MagicEmperor I watched a number of their Westerns...the one with the highest production values is "My Name is Nobody" that has Henry Fonda in it. As long as you understand the movies are from another era, and dubbed, then you won't have a problem appreciating them. They are pretty light hearted and humorous, the violence is slapstick. Good light hearted fun you could take your whole family to.
The Turkish exchange rate has been sucking heavily over the last couple of years. Somebody I knew was waiting to buy a game, but their currency's value nearly halved, so the price almost doubled for him.
@Shiryu thank you! I had never heard of them until Bud Spenser died, when I read his obituary, I thought, "Those are the kind of movies I love!" I started watching their Westerns, I didn't know where to begin with their more modern stuff.
And look! It is free on Amazon Prime! I'm gonna start popping some popcorn!
I hope that, if true, Nintendo wins big time. I can't believe anybody would be stupid enough to base themselves in the US and pirate ROMS. Funny how they are based in Arizona...

Re: Hardware Review: E.O.N. GCHD GameCube HDMI Adapter
That price is insane...
I just recently hacked my Wii U and play my GameCube games there. Even my Wavebird works with the GC adaptor on the Wii U.
For the price of this device, you would be better off buying a used Wii U and hacking it. And playing all the great Wii U games you may have missed...
