I lol'ed when I read that Luigi's Mansion's short length (back then viewed as a negative) would today be viewed as a positive! Amazing how times change...
This is what happens when a huge & sucky corporation takes over and becomes a monopoly. It is a lot like book stores & Amazon.
Remember the old game stores? Remember the old mom & pop stores? Maybe some will come back, kind of like some book stores are coming back, post-Amazon.
If you have a PC, you should really play the BGR mod for NWN2 --> "Baldur's Gate Reloaded" a fan mod of Baldur's Gate made for the NWN2 game engine, so 3D Baldur's Gate!
Correction --> The Circle Pad Pro will **NOT** work on just any games, it is only supported by about 20 or so games (I got it specifically to play with my old 3DS and Kid Icarus and Metal Gear Solid).
I am so looking forward to this! The Switch version looks better than the game I played on my PC, with a wimpy (but decent in the day) GTX 660. I never was a big fan of the keyboard controls, I'm hoping the Switch controls are better!
@JHDK The low resolution of the game was a slight disappointment to me. But the gameplay experience was really cool, I thought it was worth it for that.
@Heavyarms55 FYI, I read the Witcher books & they are really good, so if you want to do those instead (books & game really are not related) you can always give them a go!
@Heavyarms55 It's a great story based RPG, where your decisions have consequences. It is kinda like Skyrim, but with much better characters, and more plot driven. Not everybody's cup of tea, but it deserves a lot of the accolades that have been heaped on it.
I'm curious to see how they work the controls...the PC version used a lot of the keyboard...
@KIRO I'm with you man, based on how long it has taken me to get through the GBC game, 60-90 hours minimum!
Somebody once said that Nintendo doesn't really make video games, they make toys. And each video game is its own unique toy. This one is worth every penny!
@Nintendofan83 I'd like to see Nintendo keep making a cheap "gateway" portable for about $70, to keep addicting the next generation with quality games, but, I'm not sure that is their plan.
@ZeldaNX My experience has been that when there are 3 gaming companies (or more) and the top one is way in the lead, the others are more willing to cooperate with each other, to try to narrow the lead.
I would not recommend something "cheap" if the quality is bad. If you lose your games & saves, how is that saving money?
Always buy memory from a name you can trust. I had a cheaper SD card go bad and almost lost all my vacation photos one time (to Angkor Wat!). Thankfully, I was able to recover them, but the card was definitely wonky. I've only bought SanDisk ever since.

@ryobi85 dude, just set aside a long weekend, and go all in, just to get started. With some big early momentum, you can push through to the end!
Re: Review: Untitled Goose Game - Short But Most Definitely Sweet
Not sure why people are complaining about the cost of Link's Awakening when you see the cost of this & time to complete.
Re: Reminder: You Have Just One Week To Claim Your Nintendo Switch Online Sub With Twitch Prime
@imgrowinglegs Yes...Amazon bought Twitch, so if you have Amazon Prime, you also have Twitch Prime, you just have to set up an account.

@BillyB you gotta set up 2FA

Re: Review: Divinity: Original Sin 2 - Definitive Edition - A Pure Work Of Magic
Does the Switch game come with any of the lore books, soundtrack, or making of stuff? On GOG, for the same price, you also get all the extra stuff.

@oji GOG.com is awesome! I don't buy anywhere else, on-line. Everything else is still physical for me.
Re: Feature: 20 Dreamcast Games We'd Love To See On Nintendo Switch
@gloom @stuie1234 Fur Fighters was my favorite, too!
In a fit of nostalgia, I recently got it for the PC and play it on my Win7 machine. What a classic...sadly overlooked, in my opinion.
Re: Random: Don't Worry, Nintendo Switch's 'X' Button Is Still Called 'X'
@AlphaElite that totally drives me bonkers!
Re: Patent Filed For New Nintendo Switch VR Headset
@YessMasster Agreed! The Switch resolution is too low, and the frame rates are also too low, unfortunately, for me to consider this new device.
Switch VR is a cool idea, and I'm glad I tried it, but, not until the next generation device for me!

Well, I can see why they did away with the 3DS.
Re: Miyamoto Believes Nintendo Have Not Fallen Behind With VR
VR has been the "next thing" for about 5 years now. At some point, it will have to deliver on its promises & hype, or just step aside for another gen.
AR seems to be where things really are right now, and Nintendo seems to have a good bead on that.
