Well, this is a surprise. Nintendo of America has announced it will be hosting a Treehouse: Live event later today featuring the October release Pikmin 3 and the November release Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity.
There'll be a deep dive into Pikmin 3 and a new stage and gameplay details shared about Age of Calamity.
You'll be able to tune in directly on Nintendo's website, watch the entire show over on YouTube, or of course, you can participate in our own live stream and chat.
Will you be watching? Let us know with a comment.

Yeah hyrule warriors and the game i forgot existed
They made that advertisement/thumbnail on Powerpoint.
That's really cool they're doing more treehouse, but how exactly do they plan this stuff that they announce they're doing it a few hours before they do it? Do they share Sony's PR firm or something?
Yay more Age of Calamity coverage!! ( I wish I cared for Pikmin 3 but I am so disappointed it's another port instead of a proper sequel or even a half baked remaster, damn it looks dated conpared to other Nintendo 1st party titles )
I loved Pikmin 3 on WiiU (and the three others like me who played it would agree) and cannot wait to give it another go with the Co-op in story mode with my children. I played the DLC already, but would do it again.
Thank god there's no over-hyped Wayforward game.
@Mikeopferman As the second person who played Pikmin 3, I can confirm I am in agreement and can't wait to play again 😁 Having said that, Age of Calamity is currently consuming all my mental bandwidth. The Zelda brainrot is real 🥺
I'm riding the hype train for sure. Moreso for Pikmin but I'm quite excited for both. I hope we get a more solid idea of the new content and difficulties for Pikmin.
Also, has Nintendo confirmed if Bingo Battle will be online? That would be incredible!
Awesome news. Hopefully we get a new character or two for HW. Also anticipating the new content for Pikmin.
I'm delighted that we're getting a Treehouse presentation. Always feels a little special, even though its just one long awkward commercial at the end of the day.
All that being said, I'm really trying to go into this game blind, and have been avoiding looking too much into content, so I might just skip this one. I'm beyond stoked that Robbie and Purrah are included, but would have rather stumbled upon this in the game organically.
It's already 'Today' for you guys?
I have to wait until tomorrow. Dang it.
@NEStalgia That's called planning. lol Those things are planned months before they actually are out, be it when they are live or not.
Hyped about Age of Calamity but honestly trying to avoid Pikmin 3 right now because I just can’t find the time for another game.
Although like @Mikeopferman and @andykara2003 said, I bet Pikmin co-op would be great fun to play with the kiddos!
@PoorGeno Good old time zones. lol
Anyway, can't wait to see what new stuff will be shown. Wasn't the biggest fan of Hyrule Warriors (on Wii U) myself, but hopefully the AoC gameplay will change my mind.
Amazing stuff
Last gen I bought these on Wii u
Mario kart 8
Dk tropical freeze
NSMBU
NSLU
Pikmin 3
Captain toad treasure tracker
Super Mario 3d world
Wonderful 101
Bayonetta 1 and 2
Tokyo mirage session
Hyrule warriors
Breath of the wild
Rayman legends
Lego city undercover
Pokken tournament
And I get to buy all these again
@MarioLover92 I liked it more on Switch. I had the Wii U version and liked it a lot less (sold it not too long after purchase, didn't beat it until switch). I was pretty stoked by the Robbie/Pura trailer. I hope they're playable. Guess I'll find out in the morning. Hope you do, too. Thanks for the reply.
Dang. I was just going to say I missed it if it aired already, but then reread it again and it said tomorrow.
Why would they dedicate all this time to an old game and a spin-off? Metroid Prime 4 shadow drop confirmed.
@HotGoomba What's wrong with power point?
@Mikeopferman As the apparently third and final person who played Pikmin 3 I'm afraid to say it wasn't for me at all. Gave up on it through boredom during the final level 🤷♂️ it's also incredibly disturbing for a Nintendo game (alien race descends on planet and proceeds to murder fauna for their own gain, presented as a light-hearted romp)
Nice hyrule warriors, a game i already have on my most wanted list.
Playing as the champions is what i wanted in breath of the wild lol.
Seeing the goron reminds me of Majoras mask playing as goron link.
I really don’t see the need for these huge reveals. I’d rather wait and find everything out myself
Pretty sure we’ve seen more Hyrule Warriors gameplay than PS5 and XBX first party gameplay combined.
And that’s not a slight on Hyrule Warriors.
I played Pikimin 3 on WiiU but never fully got into it, my friend absolutely loved it and will be double dipping. I think I will pass until there is a major sale.
I had the OG Pikmin on Gamecube and adored it, didn't have a Nintendo console until the Switch after that so I for one am STOKED for more Pikmin and have pre-ordered it
Hope they do a proper direct too
Fifth WiiU Pikmin player here. Played through the story and enjoyed it. Not ready to go again, will be playing HW:AOC instead
@NEStalgia "they announce they're doing it a few hours before they do it?"
It was 15 hours. Which was 15 hours more than they officially gave a release of a new game Kirby Fighters 2.
And how much of a deep dive do we need on an 7 year old game and a game they just played in Japan last week?
I have both gamers on pre-order but there's really nothing I need to see. 15 hours was enough notice for a completely unnecessary Treehouse. I also have Bayonetta 3 on preorder, since Dec 2018, I would like a Treehouse of that, even if we only got 15 hours notice.
@Cosats I never said that there was anything wrong with powerpoint. I used to use powerpoint all the time. I was just joking about the thumbnail.
Awesome! Treehouse Live is what I look forward to most every E3, and since we didn’t get it this year, I’m really looking forward to watching this later today. Treehouse Live has successfully managed to convince me to buy games I previously wasnt impressed with, including Tokyo Mirage Sessions #FE which I ended up loving. I’m not convinced right now that I want to buy Age of Calamity, but I’m excited to learn more about it!
