I thought for a moment it said Super Mario Zippo Case. I was like hell yeah then I read it again and was disappointed.
The way the game cards are just piled on top of each other in the zipper case is giving me anxiety.
I hope people care about this, because this has been a long time complaint
Also, pretty amazing that these are Platinum points, so it's basically free + shipping for all of these
After just letting huge piles of platinum coins expire, I'm now just 200 coins shy. I guess I could reinstall Fire Emblem Heroes and clear out a few chapters, but I doubt there's anything left by the time I'd finish.
Awesome! I was able to purchase the poster set before it got gone!
This still is nowhere near as good as Club Nintendo was, though. I'm a little miffed you have to pay $5.30 for shipping when before you could always get these things...ya know... for FREE, like an awards program should be. Oh well. I still love Nintendo, but their code of ethics died with Iwata.
It's also weird these rewards cost Platinum Points, which are such a hassle. I probably have a million Gold Points saved up from all my game purchases, but no, you have to earn these points through mobile games and navigating websites. Fuuuun, fun, fun.
But whatever, I got 'em, and they look cool.
"Just pay shipping"
Ya just need to pay shipping.
I’m just gonna go ahead and say that the Mario Kart Live: Home Circuit Decoration Kit should have come with the game. It shouldn’t have been a platinum reward.
That said, I suspect you’ll be able to download copies of these to print for free in the months ahead.
Dang, this is the first time that I ever wanted to spend my platinum points.
@ToadBrigade Rewards are still available as of now, I just dropped 1600 platinum points and still have over 700 left. Guess it paid off to play pocket camp so much over the past couple years. Also the Splatoon post cards and Xenoblade stickers got a restock so who knows this might become a regular thing.
Nice...now that all of my coins that have been sitting there for 3 years have expired..
My cheapo Bluetooth headphones came in a case like that. Never thought of putting Switch games in there...
Thank you so much for updating us! I am so glad My Nintendo is finally shaping up to be a suitable Club Nintendo replacement. Judging by the staying power of those old posters from CN, I decided to pick up the poster set.
@ToadBrigade I think that he's implying his/her platinum coins.
It's sure looking like Club (My) Nintendo is making a comeback. The Splatoon postcards were great, and Nintendo even sent them in a sturdy cardboard box so they don't get crushed. The only things we're missing is a rotating set of the same N64 VC games for the WiiU and a Switch case game card holder.
GUESS WHO GOT THE POSTERS LETS GO!!!
@invictus4000 I hopped on knowing I had 1200+ platinum points about a year ago, to find out I only have 130. Why did it take Nintendo so long to drop physicals on MyNintendo?
Just spent 800 coins on a Dodo Airlines bag, plus $5.43 tax & shipping - how the & #$*#& is their tax on shipping!! - so I only have about 400 lef, or I'd be down for a few of these, even with the shipping & tax.
Guess it's time to start earning some more somehow, that doesn't involve playing mobile games. 😝
Can we buy platinum coins with gold coins?
I only have 600 points, don't know if I'd get to 800.
I remember when this sort of stuff was free and stuck on the front of the Nintendo Magazines.
Wish I didn't have to redownload one of the mobile games just to earn platinum points efficiently. I used to have thousands pile up, but they've long expired. This is when I wish they didn't expire 😡
Don't know how it works in the US, but the posters are 'free' in the UK (with 300 points), you just have to pay something like £8 for shipping! I thought I could combine it with a purchase at the Nintendo online store, but no. So this is a bit of a scam if you ask me.
The only downside is this, and other stuff I've seen, comes with £6+ postage!
@DoctorShrunk It's the same. "Free" item with points, but shipping to my state is 5.00 + tax = 5.50 USD. However, I got all of my platinum points without spending a cent (by doing the "Where's Waldo" search-and-click missions on various titles), so I can't complain. Someone has to pay that shipping.
It’s 300 platinum coins for the posters in Europe but 800 platinum coins in US.
I hope everyone who wants one gets one
Those posters would be so, so much better without the 3D All Stars branding. They're not going up in a shop, there's no need for it. Just have the artwork and the main game logo!
Just bagged me the zipper case! I'll look so cool to all the ladies at the gym when they see me remove my headphones from them!
Canadians can actually redeem for every reward mentioned in this news article, but the zipper case. Don’t see any reason why they omitted that one...
Posters back in stock in NA, just got them
Not enough platinum points for the posters. Pissed.
Nice! I just grabbed the Mario zipper case and the Animal Crossing bandana
I managed to ordered the poster set. I recently just got my own place and have some bare walls to fill so I’m gonna frame them up and put them along a wall I have!
@IAmBerk How did you get them? It says it's sold out for me. I forgot to buy them yesterday and now I need a code for Canada.
Restock on the poster set for a longer period Nintendo! Don't be lazy! I want some of those
If ya don't supply to meet more demand such as more Switches with a huge $200 price cut, where can I lodge a complaint
Hate how they only take platinum points, which I never seem to collect.
I’m curious if the posters actually come in frames?
@GameOnNoah I got mine when they were available
@rdrunner1178 @RustedHero Either of you get the zipper case? Is it as advertised? I have 820 plat points so thinking about it. Spent $5.43 on the Dodo Airlines bag which I have used once to buy chips at Target.
@RustedHero @rdrunner1178 OK you 2 don't need to reply, just ordered it, wife and son agreed. Still annoying to pay $5 shipping and 23c tax ON shipping. It's really not worth it for that and I do feel kind of cheated. And stupid.
@rjejr
It supposedly shipped yesterday. So hopefully I’ll have it in a few days. Is that bag vinyl or something? I thought it was fabric I guess
@rdrunner1178 @rjejr Likewise mine shipped yesterday so we'll see what its all about in a few days. Yeah I hope that bag is durable because from the looks of it it looks not very strong.
@rdrunner1178 @RustedHero Thank you both. The Nintendo Store website said something liek "shipping November 11th" so I won't be getting it anytime soon, glad to hear you'rs shipped.
I'd call the bag plastic more than vinyl. It's heavier than the usual disposable 1 time use grocery bag but not nearly as thick as the reusable plastic bags I've bene using the past few years. Feels like something Id' stick my wet bathing trunks in. Not that I would. I wouldn't put more than maybe 1 1/2 pounds in it. A loaf of break or a pound of butter, certainly nothing heavy like liquids or cans.
It probably wasn't really worth the $5.43 either, but they suckered me in w/ the Dodo Airlines logo. Grocery store would sell it for 49 cents, if that. No where near as sturdy as those 99c shopping bags.
I've gotten probably a dozen things from Club Nintendo for free free, so guess I'm a little spoiled, and this is their way of covering past losses.
I do get to reuse this calendar set from 2010 now, so that's nice.
