derek from cgrundertow made this observation about sports games. they've stopped trying to emulate the game itself and have become more sports BROADCAST simulators. they try to be the tv show, not the sport. having said that, i'd personally have a little less detail for more fluidity at a higher frame rate. maybe part of the patch can offer than option.

i bought the first game by accident for the ps4 - my intention was to get it for vita. i played it for a bit, and it isn't as dirty as it's made out to be. maybe it's coz i'm male so i don't see it as dirty as a female would.

i really have to wonder if there's more to it than just hte medium. there might be a literal 'switch tax' for licensees with fees that're higher than those for sony and microsoft.

@Octane they are rip-offs. you do state a genuine benefit of the overpriced digital version, but it's an unintentional one. if companies find a way to gut that as well, they totally would.

if it's because of the larger than normal cartridge capacity, then the digital download version should be cheaper.

i find something so wrong with a 400gb microsd card because it's too even a number when i've become accustomed to 2 to the power of whatever. i could even accept 384gb, smaller as it is as it's (2 to the 7th power) x 3. but 400 is just so WRONG. i'll wait for 512 or even 480.

needs a splatfest like event, and a crossover character in the form of dhalsim. maybe plasticman, too.

dead space trilogy for the wicked stepsisters. dead space extraction for the wii. final fantasy xv for the wicked stepsisters, final fantasy (something) for the switch.

this is my favorite switch game. THERE I SAID IT! mario kart is a close second.

i got forza horizon 3 complete edition for an obscene amount of money (for a game). then a few months later, it turns out that it wasn't all that complete as there were two expansions coming. then a week or so ago, it turns out there's also a car pack that wasn't included in that 'complete' edition and probably more to come.

then you have devs like shin'en and yacht club that reward the players for the success of their games instead of demanding more money for us like we were junkies or something. these guys are good eggs. great support above and beyond, and all from great games. major props to them.

@Nintendoer i hope it's an option for OTHER people to have a tournament of their own, helpful for esports. the splatfests are uniquely nintendo. arms needs something that can similarly fire up the communty in a similarly unique nintendo way. maybe just a direct ripoff of the splatfest, if they want.

@Mahe the vast majority of those millions of 2ds and 3ds handhelds don't have the steady 3d of the new 3ds, and are likely not using the 3d feature they added. without 3d, then it's just the old ds game and that cart is already compatible. the convenience of a digital download is the only other major new feature they added to it.

@Ryu_Niiyama it's not even really a port. ds games work with the 3ds already. i'd call it more of a paid 3d update. i might be inclined to do the same as you and buy it for that feature as well as the convenience of a digital download title, but only if the price makes sense.

i haven't played the game yet. i have no idea about it at all. i still predict it will be behind only starcraft in the esports strategy scene within a year. leaks suck, but i get the feeling that they helped more than hurt them. the cruelty of the commentary is part of the nintendo diet as when they finally reveal, they usually exceed expectation. that's a philosophy alien to ubi, i think.

i'm all up for that.
