they finally did all the remakes for the 3ds when the 3ds is on it's way out. guess we can expect switch remakes in a couple of years? or maybe they'll do them all in one BIG BANG for the switch.

i have this game for ps3, ps4, xbox 360, xbox one, and pc. i have no idea why. i also have no idea why i'll probably get this one as well.

nintendo never win the press-con battles, but they often win the show itself. it's just how they roll. like last year with sony showing off all their new hardware, but nintendo wins on the show floor with hands-on breath of the wild - if memory serves me.

asking the obvious again: why not for the switch? it's a great appetite-whetter for prime4. as a cheapskate, i'd also say it maybe ought to have come free for; offer a discount for; or be discounted with, a metroid prime 4 pre-order.

@FTL i was trying to say that on a point-to-point display, the difference between 720p and 1080p would be the same whether the resolution is 1080p or uhd. with postprocessing, the difference is multiplied. i use a pc monitor since i play games in between doing work so to me, the difference is minimal.

they don't even have cloud saves yet for the switch. i'll be a grandpa by the time this makes it to gaijin markets.

@FTL do you have post-processing activated on your tv? otherwise, the difference between 720p and 1080p would be exactly the same whether displayed on 1080p or uhd when taken pixel for pixel.

i probably wouldn't even notice, but i'll take it. it might get those digitalfoundry guys all giddy. what would really benefit from a rez boost is the hopeful metroid prime trilogy for switch bundle you get for pre-ordering prime 4.

@DEZn00ts i dunno about winning this generation since generations are pretty blurred now. i would consider the wii u more of a continuation of the wii gen. then there's the ps4 pro and the xbox one x. the switch itself will likely get a hardware upgrade the likes of the new 3ds to the old 3ds.

as for portables, yes, ios and android devices are on that list. unlike the switch, those devices get refreshed and more powerful every year. the switch is a console for today. it doesn't look very far forward in terms of tech since that's nintendo's modus operandi. it isn't a powerhouse because nintendo designed it not to be. ea calling it a powerhouse is like a band saying every town they visit for their concert is the best one they've ever been to.

@Minotaurgamer portables, no matter how powerful in relation to each other, are far more similar to each other when compared to a home console. then there's what the switch would've been if they went with the less power-hungry pascal.

'mobile powerhouse' is like saying 'tall runt', or 'heavy feather'.

@AirElephant agree. they're great for building up hype and testing their servers, but a demo is a much better idea.

i've stopped buying nintendo games. i'm assuming/hoping that there will be an e3 sale event. probably not, but you never know.

heh. chum. a fish reference. belongs in splatoon. it's so ironic that a game that focuses, amplifies, and embodies the spirit of racing FUN, that is mario kart, can be the source of so much rage, frustration & anger at the same time.

@BlueMage stretch armstrong was made by mattel, and so was the old power glove! if they do bring stretch in, that has to be his trademark arm.

meh. no big. capcom didn't put the latest street fighter on switch, they put in the old one. activision can do the same. maybe revive the old bungie ip's like myth, marathon, and oni.

it's more likely something/one that harkens to an eastern deity. like in asura's wrath when you go super saiyan rage and grow extra arms. or maybe it's goro, i dunno.

@ThomasBW84 dunno about easier but it's more intense because of the immersion. another game that ought to make it to switch that's somewhat similar but different enough to be distinct is aaero.
