Re: Poll: We Want Your Views on Splatoon Version 2.0

@darth2d2 I actually cover way more ground with my Jr. than I can with my roller or a Squelcher. (I've gotten over 1500 pts in Turf Wars with it.) You just have to know how to splat and quickly squid up and continue to do that. It's actually incredibly efficient and I feel like the rollers kind of have a ceiling as to how efficient they can be at covering ground. I for sure think they're easier but not as good if you know how to handle the Jr. But yeah, I'm at A rank and I won't take my Jr. into ranked battles because it's not specialized for combat. Although it isn't as bad as you say. All you really have to do is get in close and turn on your bubbler once they start firing at you. Guaranteed kills unless your aiming is off or you didn't get in close enough.

But I can definitely understand it not being your thing if you're more into fighting over covering ground.

@darth2d2 not all of the weapons are designed for the same thing. Weapons that have a better spread but shorter distance are clearly designed to cover ground and not attack power. Weapons like the Splattershot Pro and .96 Gal are better at killing but leave covering ground as a secondary. Naturally, some weapon sets will be better than others in different modes. I prefer Splattershot Jr. for Turf Wars, Krak-on Splat Rollers for Splat Zones, and Slosher for Tower Control. And when you consider the secondary and special weapons, I actually find that all of the sets are pretty balanced and all useful in at least one mode.

@Yosher I've always said one of the biggest improvements this game could easily implement is adding in some really great alt. costumes for regular Fighters. So many missed opportunities. I'd pay like $10-15 for a bundle of 1 or 2 new alts for each fighter.

@LordGeovanni you need to chill, homie. Like it said in the article, "Rollers are extremely useful when popping out of ink to surprise a hapless foe." I definitely found this to be true, as I consistently got the best or 2nd best KDR in a match with my roller. It's actually incredibly useful to have one on a team. You just gotta step your game up. @Peach64

Y'all need to chill. This sounds fantastic! $40 for a full game and then ~$15 for a full game minus 6 chapters. Assuming that the full game is at least 12 chapters (which it will be) this is a savings. You don't NEED to play both versions of the story, like you don't need to play both ORAS. Definite buy for me, along with the DLC.

1. Incredibly excited for a new FE game!
2. Gonna miss the marriage system as it seems that isn't coming back.
3. With two different paths to choose from, I'm excited for the replay value here!
4. I LOVE that they're finally representing some Japanese culture, or anything that isn't the usual Euro-Renaissance-inspired world. I love that stuff, but it's gonna be great to have some change.
5. Is Intelligent Systems devoting all of their time to this and that's why FExSMT seems to be devoid of any trace of the FE series at all?
