Affordable Space Adventures is a unique recent release on multiple fronts - it's an Indie game that's also a Wii U exclusive, while it takes advantage of the Wii U GamePad's capabilities for dual-screen play. We were rather impressed and gave it a strong recommendation in our Affordable Space Adventures review.
Although it's been available since early April, there may still be plenty of Wii U owners unsure of its local co-op charms. With that in mind Nintendo of Europe has produced a video in which an NoE employee is joined by a member of the KnapNok team and Nifflas, the latter being the creative force behind a game. They show off three-player co-op, with some slick cutaways to the GamePad screen to show how the game works.
It's certainly worth checking out if you want to know more about this release.

It's a great 3-player game and actually uses gamepad well. I recommend it for everyone.
Still playing it, absolutely brilliant, unique game. Hope it sells well.
Well, this sold me on the game! Gonna get it soonish!
Good to see Nintendo is still helping push this game. I enjoyed it and hope it's selling well.
Great game! Played single player and co-op with my 6yr old son who loves it! Did think twice about purchase, due to price but definitely worth it as its a really unique experience. Highly recommended.
Bought it a couple of days ago due to a recommendation from a friend, but still haven't had time to play it. I like the games that really takes advantage of the gamepad. Before playing this though, Zombi U is still my top gamepad-utilizing game.
It's worth buying imo. One of the better indie games on the eShop, that's for sure.
@JaxonH
Yeah I've heard nothing but good things about it. I'll guess I'll grab it for the backlog. Definitely want to support any Wii-U exclusives, the good ones anyway.
@rdrunner1178
I agree. It helps ensure future games stay on the system.
A really really excellent game, both in single player and co-op.
@rdrunner1178 @JaxonH The studio has also hinted that they might add some more stuff to the game, if it sells well.
Enough people have said it but I'll add my name to the list because it deserves it, this game is a fantastic co-op game that makes really good use of the gamepad.
If you are looking for a fun team game for you and a few friends where everyone has their own role to play, this is it in my opinion.
It's exclusive and makes good use of the -exclsuive- hardware, two of the main reasons for me to buy Wii U games. And it got good reviews... so it's a must for me. Getting it as soon as I can.
Wonderful game, well worth the price!
Go get it! It's an awesome game and I wish more developers would be that inovative.
Play it with your wife/husband/friend etc. and you will soon find out how well you communicate..
The game gets full points from me.
@A01 and all those people who haven't bought it yet because they think the price is to high:
How can you say that when this game easily outperforms 90% of all full price games that cost between 50 and 60 [insert your currency here]? Even for 30 it still would be a bargain.
I wouldn't even hesitate to buy it for 60.
I'll be picking this up on payday, better hope it's a smooth purchase. I bought myself Mario party 10 last month and the disk didn't work!! Never happened before in years of gaming, strange.
Short but brilliant game, best use of the gamepad as a 2nd screen yet. Ideally played with 2 players.
@A01 The total gameplay value is depending on co-op or not, IMO. I've played it both single player, and with 2 different setups of co-op. Even if the puzzle solution is known beforehand, the co-op experience gets quite different depending on who's controlling what.
Awesome co-op gameplay. A big hit in my household!
@01: I already played it 17:09 hours according to my Wii U, with three different crews. And we still haven't beaten the game.
I also read on NL that it would take 5-6 hours but that's totally unrealistic. There are many hard puzzles and coordinating with your crew takes time. Also, playing it with different people lets you have even more fun with it.
But it's not about the quantity of play time, but about quality. What good are 50 hours if the game is poopsies? ^^I'd always prefer 5 hours of unique, challenging and amazing gameplay to 50 hours of useless grinding or something.
This is one of the best games I've ever played.
This game is filled to the brim with funny littel trinkets and thick-as-tar atmosphere. It fully lives up to the involvement I expect of a Nifflas game, and the finesse I expect from Knap Nok.
I didn't know it was a Wii U exclusive I might go support it at full price now as I was waiting for a sale.
I haven't played this but huge kudos to the team for utilising the gamepad like that, maybe nintendo should pick up a few pointers!
Such a crazy good game
