@Bunkerneath If you don't mind importing, Play-Asia seems to have a physical version of the game with English as an option. It was only like 20 bucks when I saw it the other day.
Developer Bloober Team (Layers Of Fear, Blair Witch Project, The Medium, Observer) also just dropped that they're working on a game for Nintendo Switch. So this is p connected with that. They mention that it's a collaboration, "with the world’s best game creators for Nintendo platforms."
@Joshie0234 One of the guys over at Digital Foundry did a write up earlier this year based on the Japanese release and said that the Switch version is a pretty huge improvement over previous games.
@Kimyonaakuma Japan weekly sales came out today and the Switch version was the highest selling game this week. If that pattern holds true in other markets it looks like it's about 50% Switch, 40-45% PS4+5, and some leftover for Xbox.
@russell-marlow I mean, they've made one single open world samurai game that came out four years ago. Hard to say that that's all they want to do. Let's give them a minute to see what they do next.

@Manguy888A At some point the game has to be called "done" so it can be submitted to Nintendo for approval. And because publishers set deadlines and sometimes they can't be moved.
So devs get it close enough in the allotted time and push out what they have and fix what they can later. Given the game has only been out a month and this is a pretty big patch, they probably submitted the 1.0 to Nintendo and immediately went to work on these fixes.

The number of people in these comments saying keep dreaming idiot have clearly missed the number of times in the last couple years that Nintendo has let other devs use their IP to make games. Like Johnny said, we got Cadence Of Hyrule a couple years ago from a Canadian studio. And Metroid Dread from a studio in Spain.
Pretty solid list. Although...guys, what the heck are you doing advertising the absolute mess that is Pillars Of Eternity? It's pretty well known to be broken and that Versus Evil decided to just stop fixing it.
@XiaoShao It'll be Super Rare most likely. I remember asking them a while back if they'd start publishing them through Rising Star Games which I believe they also own and their response was that they have a good relationship with Super Rare and want to keep it going.
@BiscuitCrumbsInMyBed I brought this up on another site earlier. They did it with the 3DS XL. Denied any new hardware during E3 and then showed it off in a Direct literally two weeks later.
@Munchlax The bright bubblegum writing in FE Engage threw me off so hard but I stuck around cause the gameplay felt good. And then I got to chapter 10 and 11 which felt and played like an old school FE map and was like, "YESSSSSSS they're doing it...."
Only for the bubblegum to come back right after and, after having two strong chapters, it felt so much worse.
@LikelySatan I don't know if DF will do a video. EG took the stance of not providing any coverage for the game over some of the author's social/political views.
The choice to rock an uncapped frame rate is interesting. 40-50 fps is still jittery and distracting due to not syncing with TV refresh rates. Can't help but think that capping at 30 and using that extra bandwidth to bump the resolution in certain areas may have been a better move.
@ElRoberico The game has fairly vast open areas and it's pretty fast paced. I'm beyond amped it's coming but I'm a little concerned about performance as well.
@Nintendencies If you're talking about the enemies in the mine area, the summons are interruptible. As for not hitting hard enough, you really want to take advantage of the boost mechanic because they're vulnerable to elemental damage.
@SwagaliciousJohnson Arkham Knight is right in that same development/release that Witcher 3 and Dying Light hang out in so hopefully we see a similarly solid conversion.

@Freek The main character of Treasure has some of the most awkward running and climbing animations I've ever seen for a game about parkour.
I will agree that the art in that game can sometimes be very pretty though.

Seems to me like whoever reviewed the game here just missed the mark or simply didn't vibe with it.
