@Deltath DOOM is under 20 literally all the time on PS4. Heck 20 is the standard non-sale price for it on PSN. In fact, it is even in sale for 7 dollars right now. According to Dekudeals, the lowest the Switch version has ever been (physical or digital) is 30.

@nessisonett It's not at full price though, at least in the US. And you are getting three games. At launch the Bioshock Collection was 10USD more expensive on other platforms than it is for Switch. And the launch price for getting all three of these Borderlands games on other platforms was almost double what they are charging on Switch. Seriously, the games would have to be free for some people on this site to not be displeased with the price.

If you don't like the price then wait a few months. 2K has been consistently on point with putting their games on sale.

@TheLightSpirit It's super cheap and there's a lot of compelling software on it. Seems like a reasonable enough decision to splash on it. Even if you don't actually own any of it. Not that ridiculous tbh.

@Captain_Toad I'm not on Twitter so you'll have to do that one. Apparently they are pretty active on Reddit as well so it should be easy enough to hunt them down.

Worth noting that the devs have already said on Twitter that a patch is being released that will tone back the difficulty a bit.

@ThanosReXXX Basically my sentiment. This was an all around solid batch of announcements with a pretty wide variety of games. The people who think Nintendo isn't gonna have anything else for this year are just being ridiculous.

@Balladeer NMS seems to be MUCH better these days. It was definitely a victim of its own hype but Hello Games really did put their heads down and busted their butts to turn it around.

Last Campfire seems much more confined and less prone to feature creep. I think it's fair to be a little more optimistic here.

@Benji80 Kabaneri starts off really strong before it falls off a cliff in the back half of the first season. Castlevania started slow and then just got wildly better.

@AnnoyingFrenzy It's right in the headline that it's a Minecraft skin. Not like they hid that in the article itself.

@Damo Don't Switch screenshots for both modes cap out at 720p? Why not invest in an Elgato or some other capture card because otherwise many docked images you post are going to be misleading.

Either way this is a welcome change and we appreciate it.

@sixrings Good for you. I do too. And I would be first in line for a Pro. But at best it would only be a modest upgrade due to size and heat constraints. And devs would STILL have to go back and patch the games for you to get any improvement.

A Pro would also cost several hundred dollars and would require devs to have to build a game over potentially four different Switch power profiles. A patch is free for console owners and clearly is able to deliver an incredible amount of improvement

Also, Defend Your Castle is an awful example of a cute and minimalist style. It's just bland and boring.

@Crono1973 Games should be finished at launch no disagreement there. But NL is dropping the ball on what seemed like a fairly high profile indie that's dropping during a pretty slow time of year. Especially considering this is a Nintendo focused site.

@Olliemar28 was this reviewed pre or post performance patch? Cause people on Reddit are saying it did wonders for performance.

@Panopticon The PS4 version needs more work before it's ready. That's why it's launch is later and they are asking for additional funds.

@westman98 Other current gen games like DOOM, Wolf 2/Youngblood, Divinity 2, or Vampyr come in right above or below the 50% mark compared to the other consoles. So there is some precedence for getting file sizes down.

Either way I don't think we're gonna have to buy large format card of this ever does come to Switch.

@westman98 But the Switch version won't be anywhere near the size of the Xbox version. Going by the sizes of other current gen Switch games we'd be looking at something in the 40GB range.

The link to pre-order says that it's available on Amazon but Amazon has got nothing for it yet.

This is hardly the first time Nintendo has refunded a digital game. NintendoSwitch subreddit is full of threads of people saying they got a digital game refunded, complete with screenshots.

Heck, my dad got a refund on the 3DS EShop a couple years ago after my younger brother stole his credit card to buy a Pokemon Ranger game.

@YANDMAN Ahh you are correct. I forgot about the OG WiiU release. Good call. As for the ten companies who specialize in limited releases of indie games, none of them have touched Shin'ens other two Switch releases so I'm pretty comfortable in buying the digital and not waiting for a theoretical physical game.

And to throw my hat into the "voxel vs 3d pixel" argument, voxel is literally the term for 3d pixel.

@YANDMAN None of Shin'ens games have released physical versions so I don't expect it to happen here.

@CTmatic The game wasn't really hammered back when it first released though. It's sitting at a 79 on PS4 Metacritic which is really a solid score. There were one or two very high profile negative reviews, namely IGNs that is basically considered a meme at this point, but for the most part the game was very well regarded on release.

@VenomousAlbino @graysoncharles @Xaessya Solrock and Karp are fine. Karp especially as he's fairly fast, actually attacks, and has a Focus Sash for not dying. Helping Hand Eevee and Wobuffett can go die in a fire.

To my US based friends, I don't know if it is still applicable, but Target had a pre-order for Indivisible priced at 15 dollars yesterday. The game is supposed to be 40 when it releases. Reviews for other platforms have been really good so if it's still around it might be well worth hopping on to.

@LetsGoSwitch Alternatively, you can get a sweet looking vinyl set for only the cost of a game.

@Iacobus It sounds like you are bashing a game you know nothing about besides famous people and some product placement.

@Burning_Bacon I was super negative to most everything for a long time. Visuals, Dexit, Drednaw being another Water/Rock type...It wasn't until the datamine that I flipped and started being excited. I still have issues with the visuals and overly samey structure but I am still happy to play it.

I will be ready to lead the riot if Pokemon Spear releases next year as a 60 dollar game though.
