Re: Talking Point: Are You Excited At All For Switch 2 GameChat?

GrailUK

If I'm honest, I'd like to pickup the camera at some point, but after a couple of games and a pro controller 2. As I'm not made ofmoney, I don't know when that will be, but my idea of online play is not needing a headset. Never liked them and folk look like they are working in a call center at home. It's not cool.

Re: Nintendo Defends Switch 2's Perceived Lack Of Innovation

GrailUK

Just goes to show how out of touch investors are. They should be jumping for joy because there isn’t a single fan moaning about a more powerful Switch! Jeez, say you were late investing in Nintendo after they struck gold without saying you were late! Sounds like a small child whining they aren’t doing it again. That’s called being taken for granted, which Nintendo often are.

Re: Final Fantasy VII 'Creator's Voice' Implies Rebirth May Also Come To Switch 2

@Rykdrew Of course because you game on multiple systems. I would slap you if you would! But pipe down for the people that don't. The game is new for them aaaand will come down in price after the initial sales exactly how they did for Steam. If they were going to sell it for $25 from the get go...I can't imagine they would feel it worthwhile to bring it to Switch 2. They aren't running a service for people lol.

Re: Talking Point: With Prices Rising, Are Your Gaming Habits Changing?

GrailUK

My biggest change (that's already happened) is not watching Youtubers or reading those forums. I know what I'm going to buy and play. I can happily sit digital games out and don't need the noise of them all saying the same sh-stuff trying to ramp up hype for something (or anger at something.) I just want to play games with people I like playing games with. So, no more buying games for my backlog. No fear of missing out. I'm done with all that.
So, my game decisions have changed; they have been made easier. There were too many games anyway. We've all been saying it for years. So disregarding digital and key-cards is actually quite the Godsend. And I'm sure there will be some good games I don't get to play...but there will be plenty of good ones I do. And those are the point. Appreciate what you have. And stop listening to people pointing out the stuff you don't.

Re: Reminder: Nintendo's Switch 2 Launches Worldwide Next Month

GrailUK

I can't wait. Barring Cyberpunk and Daemon X Machina, if third parties want to go all digital counter to Nintendo still pushing physical, then that's on them and they won't take full advantage of being on the Switch 2. I don't think they are reading (a good chunk of) the room. More than happy to just play Nintendo games to death. I'm sure we will still see the odd physical game (and companies like Limited Run may support it - would be nice to get some communication of how they mean to go on.) and that will probably garner loads of media coverage in of itself lol.

Re: 'Wild Hearts S' Switch 2 Release Detailed By Koei Tecmo

@Medic_alert Yeah, I reckon you are right mate. I can't think of any other arguement. What you said is especially true in these 'uncertain times (tm.)' The burden will fall on some brave boutique publisher, and then it's a case of negotiating rights etc. I'm glad Nintendo are still sold on physical. And their games will generally fall into whatever capacity cards they are willing to manufacture. Definately a sign of the times.

Re: 'Wild Hearts S' Switch 2 Release Detailed By Koei Tecmo

GrailUK

@Medic_alert It depends. They get sold to retailers. So from their perspective, that cuts the risk down. Then it's up to the retailers to sell them. It's genuinely a profiteering exercise. If they were more widely adopted, the cost of producing them would shrink (economies of scale etc.) So I don't thinkit's that black and white. The boardroom know exactly what they are doing...

Re: Rumour: Ubisoft Might Already Be Teasing More Switch 2 Games

GrailUK

If you are reading this Ubisoft, bring PoP Sands of Time to Switch2. Preferably phsically, buuuut looks like Nintendo, CDRed and Marelous are the last companies to give a damn about that.

As an aside, was Steep any good eventually? It got cancelled on Switch so never played it. I wonder if there is an unfinished project floating around.

Re: Cyberpunk 2077 On Switch 2 Is "Best Way" To Play Handheld Says CD Projekt Red

GrailUK

Jeez, who cares whether it's better than Steam Deck or not. You have a console, you hope a game gets a good version of it. Most normal folk don't own every single console or don't think they better buy a different console to play a game. I don't own a Steam Deck so I'm not bothered. I love Cyberpunk and I'm sure Steam Deck owners are happy enough with their version. Now can everyone shut the heck up and let me hope I'm happy with our version in peace!

Re: 'EA Sports Madden NFL 26' Switch 2 File Size Seemingly Revealed

GrailUK

Because the big third parties can circumvent physical media now, they don't have to optimise compression. Cost cutting init. Bane of the modern world. Gone beyond effieciency and actually a detriment to quality of life i reckon. Anyhoo... with EA, I'm surprised it's not a code in the box...
