Re: Opinion: We Need More Couch Co-op RPGs

I have no idea how you can play RPG with others. I could never get into the world, atmosphere and the right mood with other people around commenting and doing stuff.
Beside pretty much everyone has different way of playing this kind of games.

Re: Super Mario Party Jamboree Is The Fastest-Selling Entry In Franchise History

GoldenSunRM

Don't get the love for this entry.

Everything takes ages. In the same time of a 30 turns game in Mario Party 1-2-3 I can only do 15 turns in this one. Unlocking other boards is the worst and I don't want to waste time doing pointless tasks just to get the necessary points to upgrade my rank.

And over half of the mini-games are not even playable in a regular board game with my Friends.

Re: Review: Donkey Kong Country Returns HD (Switch) - Aping A Retro Classic

GoldenSunRM

@Qwiff I actually think it's quite more difficult. In Tropical Freeze you can use Dixie and pretty much cheese most platforming section with her personal skill. In Country Returns you at most have Diddy skill with his limited hover with the jetpack. Especially if you're going for 100% and playing the Hard Mode the difference is massive, using DK instead of Dixie is like playing on extremely Hard Mode.

Re: Review: Ys Memoire: The Oath In Felghana (Switch) - An Excellent 'Less Is More' Entry In The Long-Running Series

GoldenSunRM

@NicolausCamp Ys Memories of Celceta was the best mix of both style IMHO.

Dialogues were short but intriguing, the game lasts about 20-25 hours (I almost had 100% in 24 hours of gameplay) so it didn't last too much but still enough to not feel too short, and it's still was mainly gameplay without too many interruptions. VII and IX defininetely have too many dialogues.

Re: Random: Upcoming Banjo-Kazooie Mod Is A Nostalgic Trip Through A Bunch Of N64 Classics

GoldenSunRM

@GravyThief Hope you have a good time with it. I had a blast in the 15 hours it took me to do it almost 100% (could't find a Jiggy).

The starting area is the most untouched, but the more you go into the game the more it changes. The amount of easter eggs, funny dialogues, cameo from other Nintendo games, smart and fun gameplay ideas, reference and music is just so perfect for me. There was not a single moment of boredom; it has an insane amount of secrets and some puzzles actually got me to take out pen and paper to write down stuff.

It's probably looks like I'm exaggerating, but I would honestly give to this guy a lead role in a hypothetical Banjo-Threeie if I could.

Re: Random: Pokémon Fan Crunches The Numbers To Settle Alpha Sapphire's "Too Much Water" Debate

GoldenSunRM

Please stop this whole "it got criticism because the reviewer was a woman".
99% of people don't even look at who is the author of a review, and even if they did, that would have been not the reason. It's really bad when someone gaslight himself into thinking that half the world is made of misogynistic people, and it also throw in the garbage any chance of having an actual discourse over a certain topic.

Btw the criticism of "too much water" always was and always will be bad, because it give for granted that you are supposed to automatically dislike that, but there's other people, like me, who actually appreciate it.

Also, the locations on ground were already enough so that the region was as big as any other region in the series, it's not like the presence of the sea made the region fell smaller.
If the problem were the random encounters, just buy a bunch of repellents.
