@YourDaddy If I remember correctly, that Trilogy is completely on it's own and not related to the games from the Sky series and forward. But I might be mistaken.
Played the first Sky and Cold Steel on release, but then kind of got distracted with other games, and now I just don't feel like catching up, honestly.
Maybe if they do a collection of the 3 Sky games and 4 Cold Steel on Switch 2 I will get those and slowly catch up
Always loved this. But when I replayed it on 3DS VC I found out that it was extremely Easy. I had found way to make a point to every CPU after a couple of hit, as their AI is kind of dumb and can't follow you if you do certain combination of moves.
@RupeeClock How is Clive and Wrench? I know it got bad reviews, but I realized that critics reviews of collectathon games really cannot be trusted, most of the problems they always have with the genre is something that has to do with them not being the target audience.
I also dislike how they keep on trying to define the entire genre as something intrinsically old that should be made more modern.
Not trying to be mean here, but I feel like the author of the article have not played the game.
Saying that the japanese one doesn't represent the game is wrong, in fact is quite the opposite. The EU one make you think you're going to play a game about Mario, while for the 99% of the time you're in the RPG mode doing mission and stuff with the characters in the Jap boxart.
Just wanted to share how much I hated Sora Reveal trailer. Everything about it made it feel like it was gonna be Dark Souls. And then out of nowhere comes the Keyblade.
As a Remake, a 9/10.
It's literally perfect in every single way, except for the lack of an Harder Mode for long time fans of the original.
I really feel like it such a waste not to include that, the original is Easy and this remake is even easier.
I really don't understand why they keep adding an Easy Mode in these remake, but not an Hard Mode
Hoping for some kind of hard mode in a future update, because, while being good anyway, this was probably one of the easiest Nintendo game I've ever played
@mlt haven't played this since release. But is the Goldoba the Airship where you have the Boss Battle against 2 people of the Empire? Because god I Remember being stuck there for a more than a week or something trying to beat them, and you couldn't get off it to buy stuff or cure yourself.
I thought I had to start the game all over, but after countless attempt the RNG God blessed me with a victory.
@Magician Me too.
Already played the first one but skipped the second. So I'm not going to catch up to the rest of the series until they make Cold Steel 2 available.
Loved Undertale, but taking the same time it takes to develop a AAA game with hundreds of people to make a 2D RPG it's really ridicoulus no matter how you spin it.
I always lose interest in games when they take ages to come out.
I feel the same for Silksong, for example.
Also guys, just a reminder, you can be happy about the game and being a fan, but also be critical of how the developments is going, no need to be harsh towards anyone making a fair criticism.
@MrGawain I agree soooo much on that.
This was such a disappointment.
The overall game is so ridiculously easy.
They added hundred of useless frills that just made the game slower and more boring... Just give me cool maps to battle on with smart enemy placement and hard difficulty.
No overworld exploration, Quest, Generic battles etc...
In Spark of Hope they even eliminated ranking after a Battle (getting 3 stars in every Battle was the best part of the game) and now characters can't hit each other when they're near.
They also eliminated 1 skill per character for some reason.
I don't know what happened, this felt such a massive step back from the first game.
@N8tiveT3ch I understand the sentiment. But to be honest, as of now you could probably spend 300+ hours just to complete all the Main Quests and side-Quest without even noticing that you can spend any money on it.
About time they gave us more Zelda BotW/TotK avatar.
They disappeared after 2 weeks and I couldn't get the first wave.
While games like XENOBLADE 3 had entire year straight of new waves coming out constantly. 🗿
Same goes for Arceus. From B&W2 onwards I have always put the game down immediately after the PKM League, I just wanted to beat them and call it a day.
Never cared to complete the Pokedex and didn't even see the post game of X/Y, S/M and Sw/Sh.
But both Arceus and Violet really ignited again my passion for the franchise. The performance might not be the best and the graphics could be much better, but everything about the gameplay itself was there and actually well made, as far as I'm concerned.
Completed everything in both games, happy for the good sales. Can't wait for the DLCs.
@Takoda yeah, feel the same. I did play Atelier Sophie and the first Ryza and I liked them both, and I always had the idea of getting into the series... but when I saw 1 or more title every year, for the past 15 years, I feel overwhelmed and I just can't find the will to do it.
@sketchturner I love them the same, but I have replayed Seasons several times through the years. Tried to do the same with Ages but never finished again.
Both game are equal in quality, but Seasons is clearly a more streamlined experience that doesn't try to do anything too odd.
Ages have some parts that feels like a chore on a 2nd run. Like the entire island segment before the third dungeon, where you keep on exchanging your items with the NPCs.
@Mrkittyhead nah. There's ton of puzzles and some dungeons have an extremely complex layout.
They're really fun to navigate and finding your way is in itself a big puzzle.
Don't really know how the review has that negative point really. It's just has less puzzle than Ages.
Btw this game was an absolute miracle on the GBC, like seeing a game this massive on that tiny console was absolutely groundbreaking for the time.
An 8/10, while not a bad score by any means, clearly don't take account on the year this game was made, and for a wich console.
@YoshiF2 you are entitled to your opinion. But I think you should stop with the "you all like the game only because there's Zelda written in the title" attitude.
Golden Sun is the bigger offender here. Not for my obvious bias, but simply because it had an actual story that was ended with a cliffhanger with milions of plot holes everywhere.
I mean, if you're not 100% sure that a new one is coming out in a short time, PLEASE don't make and entire game building up to many different big events.
Just replayed it last week, the first run was on release.
Good game of course, but there's a bunch of problems that drag the whole experience down.
The entire game could be half the lenght and actually be better, it's just padding and more padding, dungeons seems to never end.
the Main Villain is an absolute nothing, it barely has any defined trait.
The story is almost nonexisting, especially for a game this long. Barely anything happen.
enemy attack and Bro Attacck lasts for a ridicolous amount of time. And I mean more than half the Battles are just seeing enemies attacking you/chasing you through the same attack for the 10th time.
Or you using a special Attack and having to go through the same glorified minigame for the 100th times.
and of course the entire game is one big tutorial that never ends.
@TryToBeHopeful Usually the ones that sold really bad.
Found multiple times game like Metroid Other M and Federation Force. Or Zelda Triforce Heroes. Animal Crossing Amiibo Festival and StarFox Zero as well. Or Sushi Striker Ecc...

Re: Inti Creates' New Project Is A Pixel Art Adventure Inspired By Zelda And '90s Anime
This looks more like a SNES Goemon Game than Zelda, but still cool nonetheless.

Re: Here's A Closer Look At The 'Echoes' In The New Zelda Game For Switch
@Jack_Goetz I honestly think the dungeons and overall puzzles have becomes so bland since BotW.
I mean, when you can solve a puzzle in 900 different ways and every single one of them works, is that even a puzzle anymore?
Re: Surprise! Shovel Knight's Original Adventure Is Getting The Deluxe Treatment
How long are they going to keep milking this? At this point I'm not even interested in a sequel anymore.
Re: 'Yooka-Replaylee' Brings Back Playtonic's Love Letter To Banjo In Remastered Form
Loved the original and it was 100% what I wanted from a spiritual sequel of BK.
Still I wanted a new game, but nice that they're trying to bring out a more polished version.
Re: Corn Kidz 64 Brings N64-Inspired 3D Platforming To Switch This Month
@flighty 10-15 hours is totally fair and a good amount of hours.
Re: Corn Kidz 64 Brings N64-Inspired 3D Platforming To Switch This April
I'm always interested in this kind of games, but they always last a ridiculous amount, like 1-2 or max 3 hours at most, with everything.
I don't pretend to have a 40 hours game, but at least something that I can feel like an actual game and not a glorified demo.

Re: The Legend Of Zelda: Twilight Princess Manga Series Is Getting A Box Set
@Bratwurst35 The most interesting part of the Twilight Princess manga is that it's 11 volumes, while the other Zelda were 2, or even 1.
They were basically just a novelty for fan of the series.
But with 11 volumes you can definitely make justice to the original story and maybe even add a bit more to it.
Re: The Legend Of Zelda: Twilight Princess Manga Series Is Getting A Box Set
What, 129$!?
It costs 5.60 each where I live. How does a poster and a cute package almost double the price!?
Re: Shantae And The Pirate's Curse Reprint Revealed As Limited Run's "Final 3DS Release"

Re: Random: Valve's Gabe Newell On Game Delays: "Late Is Just For A Little While, Suck Is Forever"
@Vexx234 yeah when a game keep getting delayed, many time is also for mismanagement of the project, more than being late or needing more time.
Duke Nukem Forever or FF15 comes to mind as great example for this. Even Strafox Zero had problems and well, it turned out pretty mediocre.
Btw, No Man Sky, FF14 and Cyberpunk higly disagree with Gabe statement. And there's many others too.
Re: Random: Nintendo Is A "Wonderful" Place To Work If You're A Genius, According To Former Employee
@Chinesus pretty sure that the people in charge of the online infrastructure has nothing to do with the development teams.
Re: Random: Nintendo Is A "Wonderful" Place To Work If You're A Genius, According To Former Employee
So if you're good at your job is a good place to work.
If you're not good, then it's not.
Understandable.

I feel like the score doesn't really match with the review. But at least I got a better picture of what this game is about.
Btw pretty much 90% of the review talks about the way the story is told, it would have been nice to know more about other aspects.
Still not gonna buy it, as I don't like that missions structure for the story.

Really excited for this.
Re: Talking Point: The Games We Got Rid Of - What Were We Thinking?
Gosh I hate to think about that.
But 12/13 years old me sold a TON of GBC/GBA games to Gamestop for Pokémon Diamond...
Since all of them were loose, GameStop just gave me 3/4€ each and I had to reach 40€.
We're talking Zelda Oracle of Seasons/Ages. Zelda ALTTP, Minish Cap, all of the Mario Advance Game, Fire Emblem etc...
Honestly that is my biggest regret as a gamer.

Skipped the entire quest before that and the entire archipelago.
Went back to that later of course, but still...

Re: Koei Tecmo And Gust Announcing New Atelier Game Next Week
@Cordyceps Nobody cares when half of those titles are rythm game, mobile gatcha games, or silly little games like that.
For the Atelier series they're almost all mainline series.
But I'm sure you already know that, but for some reason decided to ignore it.
Re: Koei Tecmo And Gust Announcing New Atelier Game Next Week

Re: Soapbox: These Everyday Items Trigger Me Now, And I Blame Zelda: Tears Of The Kingdom
I never went to such extent, but after BotW I started seeing stuff in real life, as I walked, that was "clearly"in a pattern to hide a Korok Seed.
Same happened again with TotK.

Never liked the boxart trend of this series after Bowser Inside Story.
SSS and PiT boxart were so colorful and fun.
Then they became something similar to Final Fantast Cover.
The new Game logo + Mario and Luigi + something related to the new gimmick. Nice, but so boring.
