@JR150 as someone who played through the entire series twice (except KH III). We probably share the same knowledge about what happen in the story of the series.
@Lizuka Gosh I'm playing through a Romhack of Pokémon completely remade from scratch to be set in the world of Mario, and there's an entire chapter where you go to the city of the Wario Ware Games and you battle Wario's Crew. I never realized how cool of and idea that was.
Honestly made me chuckle a bit. Loved the kart on the kart.
@slowpoke_tail Yeah in the GameCube and DS era it really looked like they wanted to make E.Gadd part of the main cast, from Mario Party 6, Mario and Luigi Partner's in Time ecc... but he got sidelined after they went with the whole "Mario doesn't need any new characters" thing in the Wii U era.
Hoping this will bring the series back to the quality of Pirate Curse. I really feel like the last two were really lacking on everything except graphic.
@JohnnyMind the amount of fun I'm getting with that game is incredibil, honestly. Is sad that it has such a bad rep around here, because it's really good.
@Yoshi3 Even my friends keep making up conspiracy and theory on how the system works.
But it's 100% luck. It's just extremely random in every way possibile, I had times with 3 extremely rare cards in two days, and 2 weeks with nothing. All in every moment, with just released packs and in the third/fourth week.
@N00BiSH I'll probably regret saying this. But I really think they're getting ready for a new game.
F-Zero is definitely getting some kind of attention. They already added the entire GBA Trilogy to the NSO, despite there being dozen and dozens of other Nintendo games. The Gamecube get GX on day One. SNES F-Zero was day one as well if I'm not mistaken. And F-Zero 99 get a lot more updates and content than anyone could have ever imagined.
I feel like this is a DK situation were they keep making side content and keeping him relevant until they're ready to reveal a new big game. Nintendo is so slow with this stuff.
So odd to see so many people already tired of the BotW/TotK formula. The fanbase asked for a new direction after 30 years of the older Zelda games, but now only two games were enough to people to be fed up.
I guess they're not as good as people make them out to be.
And this remind me that I've never beat the original, while I was on my way to 100%, the 3DS version was announced, then I was going for 100% on that, but then the Switch version got announced, so now I'm very slowly going for the 100% on that one 🗿
I'm talking about the BotW heroes going back in time to help the past. That was really too much for me. I guess they just wanted an excuse to give people Sidon to use lol
@Olmectron it doesn't. In fact it's actually make everything more believable, as it could have explained how everyone already knew that Calamity Ganon was imminent.
They knew because the robot traveled back in time and showed them the incoming catastrophe.
But in any case, that it's a non issue. It was announced and marketed as the game that explained in more depth the backstory of BotW, and it wasn't. It was quite literally another story.
I sure hope so. Nothing made sense about Age of Calamity story-wise.
Characters with different background. Changed events. Retcon. Time travels. Different ending. Etc...
Even tough it was a really good game by itself, you can't just market something as being a prequel that explain the origin of a story, and then change most of it.
@Uncle_Franklin yeah that for sure. As I said, that would be awesome and my personal dream to have a bigger remake. I'm just saying that it wouldn't be the "original intended Wind Waker", because they would have to come up with different ideas than those who they had originally (for example, the cut vulcanic Island with a steam based Village and pipes everywhere was probably repurposed into the Death Mountain of Twilight Princess).
@Uncle_Franklin it can't be "finished" because the unused ideas got used in the games that came after this. It's not like they have a big files with a ton of unused Wind Waker stuff.
Tough finally seeing a proper remake with the two cut dungeons and the Hyrule Overworld would be the best thing ever.
It's honestly sad to see the whole focus being on the pricing and other questionable choices.
While all of that is justified, the line up for the first few months of Switch 2 looks amazing, and we surely don't even have the full picture of everything that is coming out, so it would be cool to see more people talking about that.
@ThatZeldaNerd gosh Age of Calamity was a disaster in that regard.
Aside from the whole "Time travel to save everyone", even the characters backstory didn't match at all and some characters were already alive and old with no explanation whatsoever.
The biggest example being Link itself. In BotW is said that it was known that he was the chosen since he was 4 years old and his father was and Hyrule general, but in AoC he is already an adult and nobody knows him (wich doesn't even explain how Mipha got to know him, since they encountered each other only because Link was known to be the chosen), he is just a random soldier.
I hate to be a nerd about it, but when the entire premise of your game is to be a prequel that explain more the past, I don't expect the game to be a completely alternative version where everything is different.
As someone who love the original and have played it two times with 100% both on PC on release and then on Switch, I'm both thrilled and worried to play this.
@squidduforeal There's no friendly fire at all. I know because every single Boss Battle was me placing everyone around the Boss, use everyone to buff Rabbids Mario and then use his explosions to take half of the Boss healts in one turn.
@user0 I would not consider it rubbish, but pretty much everything was worse except the soundtrack.
No Rank in Battles (the best part for me was getting 3 stars on every fight)
No Friendly Fire, wich makes every Boss a joke, as you can unleash all the most powerfull attacks without any logic or good positioning.
Generic Battles with useless monster just to pad out the play time.
Levelling up and generic QUEST RPG style that had nothing to do with the strategy of the battles.
Sooo unbearably Easy.
Why does every character have one less skill than the first one? (I missed Luigi's second ability)
And on and on...
They really should have sticked with the Arcade style of the original, instead of turning it into an RPG.
Honestly Bakeru sweep everything they have done before. It's a bit of a bummer that it was their personal project and had nothing to do with Nintendo, from what I know.
@Hinade wait they got Dungeon Dice Monster in this!? I spent thousand hours into that as a kid. Nobody has any idea that even existed. I'm glad it was resurrected.
@beartown yeah, anyone saying that there's not a clear difference between OLED and LCD should unironically see a doctor and get eyes checked. The difference is absolutely massive.

Re: Talking Point: How Can The Next Animal Crossing Improve Crafting?
@Expa0 it really felt like it was added to solve a problem that wasn't even there to begin with.
They put it in the game to add crafting and pad out the game time.

Re: Gorgeous 'Trails In The Sky' Remake Gets September Release Date
@Tyranexx yeah, I played the original when it released on PSP, and the cliffhanger was really brutal.
Tough I never played the sequel because it took to long to be localized, so I lost interested.
Re: Gorgeous 'Trails In The Sky' Remake Gets September Release Date
Waiting for the Switch 2 version.

Re: Sun & Moon Fans Rejoice! Pokémon TCG Pocket's Next Set Is All About Alola
@Anachronism I got almost nothing for 3 expansion. And then got A LOT of rare cards in two weeks.
I know people have the habit to always try to find pattern, but it's 100% luck.

@Bunkerneath the last expansion was actually the one where I had the most luck.

Re: Video: Nintendo Today Gives Us Another Look At SoulCalibur II For Switch 2 Online
@NintendoBMA there's also Viewtiful Joe Red Hot Rumble, that was cool.
Re: Video: Nintendo Today Gives Us Another Look At SoulCalibur II For Switch 2 Online
@outsider83 That's odd. I always found Soul Calibur to be one of the most casual friendly fighting game.
I could never pull any cool moves on Street Fighter, Mortal Kombat or Killer Instincts.
Re: One Of The Best EarthBound-Inspired Indie RPGs Is Finally Confirmed For Switch
@ChromaticDracula isn't that still label as early access on Steam?
Re: Video: Nintendo Today Gives Us Another Look At Zelda: Wind Waker For Switch Online
@jojobar it's not going to change anything but, just for the record, there's a 16:9 option on the Gamecube Online.
Re: Video: Nintendo Today Gives Us Another Look At Zelda: Wind Waker For Switch Online
@N00BiSH i actually dislike how the Wii U version made it shorter.
I mean, sailing and finding treasure was a core part of the game to me.
Re: Community: The Results Are In - These Are Your Most (And Least) Wanted Switch 2 Games
@ottoecamn the original looked uninspired and boring to me. But the trailer for the sequel was amazing.
I think I'm buying it down the line.
Re: Nintendo: Hyrule Warriors: Age Of Imprisonment Is A "Canonical Tale"
@Polvasti I guess because Nintendo itself consider it a one off thing, while the while fallen timeline had a new game just some months ago.
Re: Nintendo: Hyrule Warriors: Age Of Imprisonment Is A "Canonical Tale"
@Eel wait for them to explain Kass absence from TotK by saying that he somewhat went back in time as well, along with Zelda.
Re: Nintendo: Hyrule Warriors: Age Of Imprisonment Is A "Canonical Tale"
@Joeynator3000 THat would be awesome as well.

This makes me happy more for OOT and Majora 3D more than WW and TP to be honest.
I REALLY want their remake in full HD glory.
Re: Switch 2 GameChat Choppy Frame Rate Explained By Nintendo
This is such a non-issue. Anyone seriously going out of his way to be critical of this needs to have his priorities checked.
Re: Nintendo Comments On Mario Kart World's Controversial Price
@tobsesta99 that's the best part. Anyone thinking that people are going to buy their 100$ game because they bought GTA for that price are delusional.
Re: Nintendo Comments On Mario Kart World's Controversial Price
@Rusty_Ruby i don't even think the playtime has anything to do with the price. There's 80 hours games thah I enjoyed less than 15 hours game.
Re: Talking Point: Zelda: Wind Waker Is On Switch 2 - Do You Still Want A WW:HD Port?
@OorWullie yeah people don't remember how the original looks.
Try to boot up a GameCube game. Last time I did it through the Wii my eyes were bleeding.
They were definitely not intended for 55-inch TV.
Re: Talking Point: Zelda: Wind Waker Is On Switch 2 - Do You Still Want A WW:HD Port?

Re: Poll: So, How Would You Rate The Nintendo Direct For March 2025?
@BranJ0 Yeah I don't know what wrong about it. But it kinda killed my hype for now. It felt so boring in how they presented it.

Re: Opinion: Pokémon Legends: Z-A Looks Cool, But It's Lacking Arceus' Unique Style
I was hoping for a more vintage aesthetic. Like steampunk Lumiose that slowly get upgrade and made modern.
Not an already modern city made even more hi tech.
A bit disappointed there.

@andyg1412 They sell reasonably well. And the most important thing is that the production costs are probably not too high as well, so that helps.
Re: Rumour: Kirby: Planet Robobot Will Indeed Come To Switch, It's Claimed
@NintendoByNature this is the best Kirby Game too, as far as I'm concerned.
A remake with switch Graphics would be so good.
