I'm contemplating getting a 2nd but not for Crossing......more for my own sanity as everything is being used all the time and I'd like a Switch just for me to keep myself occupied
BotW is my favorite Zelda and the 1st one I couldn't put down. They are all fun but the long dungeons would bore me and I'd walk away from the games for days or weeks and forget where I was. I'm not going to be mad if they return but I do prefer the shrines and beasts
I decided to do another round of BoTW.....I haven't played it since I beat Ganon almost 3 years ago so I forgot quite a bit. I also need to finish earthlock and work on Octotraveler but maybe those wait a few more weeks
NBA Playground 2 was fun and a football game like that I would be for. I know unlocking characters is a pain but that never bothered me as I just played with the ones I had
It would make for a good birthday party. I wonder what the limit is for guests in the room. If you can go 10, $50 a pop for 8 hours of gaming isn't so bad. Few pizzas, couple cases of beer and fun night for less then a concert
I need to work on Octopath Traveler as I'm only a couple hours in but all gaming has been paused by the fun times that are Christmas prep and parties. I would also like to get back to Dark Souls as I played it for about an hour a year ago and then haven't had a chance to revisit it. Hoping I can dedicate some time to it over my holiday break and then continue in the new year now that Three Houses isn't dominating my time. Thankfully there is a small lull in new games I want to play so I should be able to catch up on those 2 and maybe actually finish off War Groove.
The Christmas gift that is Pokemon Shield may mean the Switch is over utilized though and take away from my gaming time.
Santa should bring me my own switch.....that would solve some of these dilemmas
It's about time Nintendo to hire Shinen to make a full fledge retail game published by Nintendo. They are technical wizards and make great games. Let's see what they can do with financial backing and the ability to make something at an AAA level.
I'd love to see a Path of Radiance, Radiant Dawn for Switch but I'm also a little worried they would change the games too much.
Three Houses is a good game. I thought way more compelling then Awakening or Fates but the variety of battle wasn't quite there. The paralogue battles helped but most of the battles were destroy everyone / destroy commander. Take these 10 and go!
Maybe nostalgia is making my memories scew toward the Radiant series but I thought them much harder and the battles more varied and epic. And I'd like to revisit them.
Ehhh......raced 1 race, it's not the worse thing I've ever played but it's not a console Mario Kart either. I'm sure I'll have some free fun and then move on
If this worked with the dock I'd have ordered 1......maybe 2, but that missing feature means I have no use for it. I'm probably not the target market though
@echoplex - Nintendo tried so hard.... made the games bitter flavored......still people kept eating them and buying more.....all Nintendo could do was collect the money and wallow in their own grief
I wonder what digital sales look like for FE 3 Houses in Japan? I'm surprised it hasn't sold better but maybe the voucher thing swayed some people to go digital?
Nintendo may sell more switches in Japan by this time next year then they sold Wii U's world wide
May get another Switch at some point but not because of improvements......just because I'd like a chance to play once I a while. Switch is seldom free in our household
Always controllers and usually my (sons) fault for abuse. (Slight drift on 1 joycon being the exception) Hardware has always been solid from Nintendo. All of them worked to the day I sold them and moved on which wasn't until virtual console and digital copies of older games I want to play still started arriving.
My Wii U and Switch have what I need to play from Atari all the way to modern masterpieces..........
The XB1 though......it never wants to behave, red ring of death, and various issues with OGXBox.....good thing I never actually bought any of them, just reaped the benefits of roommates and now my kids.
Never had a Sony in my home so cant comment on them
Other then pandering to the market with an "exclusively for you game" I dont see how this doesn't find a way to the rest of the world. Can't imagine it would cost that much to localize and the rabbids games have done well enough, I'd think, to make it worth the risk.
It's a very well made game. The school is a more cohesive way of allowing interactions between fights and the fights themselves have been large and enjoyable. I haven't enjoyed a fire emblem this much since Radiant Dawn. Just an opinion but to me it is a great game to play
Time Splitters 2 is still my favorite FPS. Very unique and a great evolution to Golden Eye and Perfect Dark. Hopefully they can capture some of the magic with whatever they are working on now.
Thankfully I've never had an issue with my WiFi and Nintendo products......except for the 1st major update with Splatoon on Wii U......since then, all gravy! Now the XBox.......that's another story.......maybe I can use these tips to help it. I think that is a Microsoft problem and not a me problem though
Opinions vary.......I'm excited for weapon durability to return. I loved it in BotW and for Fire Emblem, I think it adds another layer of strategy to the game. Haven't had time to completely read reviews but I hope they add battle experience points Like PoR and Radiant Dawn had so you can level up lesser characters.
Excited to play a FE game on my TV again
Edit: work is done, I finally can read the review and it looks like the ability to level up lesser characters certainly exists but in a different form. Overall this game sounds great.....now hopefully the battles are as varied and challenging as PoR and Radiant Dawn.
Could this be my favorite FE of all time.....we shall see
1 of our 4 does occasionally and it is an original day 1 version. Hard for me to be too upset about it as it didn't start doing it until a couple months ago and my kids abuse the poor Switch and its accessories. Seems like a flaw in manufacturing but my issue could just as well be caused by us
Charles Martinet seems to love his voice overs more then anyone else, and because of it, it's hard not to smile when you see him having so much fun with it!
SNES Star Wars Trilogy was great and to be honest.....some of the best games of 8 & 16 bit era were license tie ins........
I think they rush them now to release when the movie or show does. I don't remember that being the case in the 80's & 90's but it was a long time ago so maybe I'm misremembering
@rjejr - but but but you get 3 games with the xBox SAD........
I finally broke down and bought an xbox last Christmas Eve for the boys. $199 for a slim with a game. Stupid thing works half the time and because it's unreliable the boys spend most of the time on the Switch. Now I'm contemplating buying a 2nd Switch.......should have just done that instead of the xbox
I see the trailer much differently. I see the mummy returning, in the process the bridge breaks and it appears Link falls. The underground collapse I think will cause a change in the landscape and I think we will have to guide Zelda on an adventure to find Link, or an amnesia Link back to Hyrule to save the kingdom
I got one on the cheap a few months after they came out and no one would buy them. Got it for $45 plus a $10 off next shopping trip. I see them in stores a lot but not discounted for a while. I'd like a 3rd to leave at my mom's house. I may end up buying a 2nd Switch though which would solve the dock issue
Breath of the Wild and Rocket League surprise me. Not that they aren't worthy of sales but at their age as Switch games and the amount of new content being available, I'm shocked they did so well in April
I'd rather have a game made specifically for the Switch.......too bad we can't get the SNES games and some of the other great star wars content from Nintendo's history
@Audiobrainiac - the article says he hacked game development servers so the usernames and passwords are probably all employees and not something that needs public announcement
I guess I'll wait and see if they patch out the bugs and performance issues. My son loves baseball and I'd like a decent version of an MLB game to play. Too bad Nintendo doesn't make non-Mario sports games anymore.
Switch has to be close in numbers to PS4 in Japan now. It may pass the 17 million adjusted sales number for 2019 world wide.
I'm thinking about buying a 2nd for the house......mostly because I can never use it anymore. Kids or wife are always trying to steal it when I pick it up
Both were fun games. I played 2 way more then the original. I'm not interested in purchasing these though. They would have to be significant upgrades and that doesn't appear to be true. Turek 2 was an amazing graphical leap in console gaming though. I don't remember anything looking like that at the time
