Setting off on a new adventure in The Legend of Zelda series is always pretty special, so much so that the maps and locations contained within each game are practically etched into our minds at this point (apart from Breath of the Wild, because that thing's huge).
If you've played and loved Zelda: A Link to the Past, you're probably incredibly familiar with the surroundings - Link's house, Hyrule Castle, Kakariko Village, the Lost Woods, the cemetery... It goes on. If that sounds like you, check out this LEGO recreation of the entire map, shared online by none other than Cesar Perez of Nintendo Treehouse.
The build was spotted at BrickCon 2019, an event which took place over the weekend in Seattle, Washington. Cesar notes that Doug and Lyn Werr were the talented so-and-sos who put the map together, so let's take our pointy green elf hats off to them.
Between this and the Zelda: Link's Awakening-inspired Switch dock we shared the other day, we're really feeling the Zelda love at the moment. Great stuff.

That's a VERY impressive Lego build, but imagine Mega Construx with a Legend of Zelda license!
SIGH-😌
That is great, hope they do the Dark World next year
@BarefootBowser didn't notice the Coca-cola tower until you said is it a hidden dungeon?
Now do breath of the wild
Lego is basically pixel art if you're willing to do it to that specific scale. People can, and do, do amazing things with Lego!
Reminds me of the Lego Ideas Iron Knuckle set that never went through . Also the BOTW stable that has just reached the required support that gets it considered. I hope Lego and Nintendo can make that set a reality.
It looks pretty accurate (except for the coke bottle). I don’t understand why they didn’t include turtle rock though. Is that only visible in the dark world? I forgot.
I'm curious about the builds left and right of the map. What are they?
@Earl_Grey the one on the left looks like it could be Donkey Kong Country... maybe.
A Link to the Past: 3D Map.
Now make a LEGO version of the Breath of the Wild-map.
It takes a real block head to do something like this.
Very good! I’m I being dim but is it basically the same map as Breath of the Wild ?
@Heavyarms55 — you said do do.......hahahahaha.......ok 7 year old me is gonna see himself out now!
@Gerbwmu I mean, to be fair, it is an article about Lego. Childish humor is kinda appropriate.
A Brick To The Past 👌🏻
Love it! It's amazing what some people can do with Legos.
Now if only the Lego company would approve a couple of those Zelda sets that routinely get submitted....
@NotTelevision Yes, you forgot! That's Dark World only, I just finished the game 2 days ago
Must of been a pain to build that..
Somebody needs to take one step further and make it at Minifig scale.
Now, onto the actual overworld and not just the map.
I'm a Lego fan and Zelda fan so all I can say is this is GORGEOUS!
@BarefootBowser maybe it’s dlc for a future remake!
Maybe the one on the right is just a tall building. It got me thinking about Super Mario Odyessey, but there are no metro stations in the game
@Earl_Grey On the left you have Disney's Jungle Cruise and to the right you have Avenger's Tower.
Saw this build first hand over the weekend; honestly, the pictures do not do it justice.
Very beautiful.
