Honestly it wasn't terrible movie it wasn't great either it would have been perfect if story wasn't so rushed and there's plot holes too like Mario and Luigi brother relationship felt rushed and forced in third act also princess peach backstory and you can remove DK Kingdom could have been squeal instead . Also mixed of pop culture songs with video games music was very jarring you can remove pop culture references music.

The voice acting is hit and miss too Chris Pratt didn't do go job you can see the voice changes in certain scene and Both Seth Rogan sucks playing DK only big highlight is Jack Black as Bowser.

The film felt bloated of references nice animation but voice acting is hit and miss but story wasn't good i hope squeal is better but so far not impressed sonic films are better story telling.

I don't know I'm concerned since link doesn't talk in the game and having him talk just gonna ruin it. I wish it was animated you can do so much more to do with it I hope they don't mess up with this just disappointed is live action.

I was excited since I love first 2 movies but This was disappointed because Knuckles was bearly in the show i was expecting proper character development arc like about his tibe, his relationship with Tikal and have master emerald him going on journey have it connect to Sonic 3 movie.

But instead it focus on side character Wade which I forgot about in movies it's just boring family drama with Wade and then bowling plot which is done before by many many cartoons this wasted potential and disappointing. I really don't recommend it if you like serious sonic story. Go watch Sonic X they integrate humans better and Sonic Satam for a darker tone or if you like comedy that makes fun of itself then Sonic Forces.
It's 1/5 not recommend.

From what I heard from the reviews its very mixed bag from fans I saw gameplay doesn't look fun even 3D its off putting its definitely downgrade to first 2 games.

I'm already turned off being live action its weird considering they want to cinematic universe how will that even fit. I was expecting legend of zelda having studio ghibi animation like The boy and heron. Its instant skip for live action for me unless casting is really good. It killed hype.

Its very sad day for anime fans losing Yu Gi Oh creator hurt last year now lost great legend Dragonball Z is one of few animes I watched how I got into it along with pokemon, Digmon, Sailor Moon, Yu Gi Oh. RIP Akira thank you for making my childhood with many games like dragon quest and Chromo Trigger.
