Project X Zone 2 is heading to the 3DS in Europe in 2016, which is great news - albeit a delay - for those that got drawn into the anarchic original RPG. Meshing together franchises from SEGA, Capcom and Bandai Namco, it doesn't have to make sense to be entertaining.
Bandai Namco of Europe has now published a new video showcasing the title, providing some handy translated information over the Japanese language gameplay. It gives a sense of how mechanics are evolving in this sequel, while also introducing a whole load of characters.
There are seven noisy, anarchic minutes of footage below - enjoy!

That first verb made me think the 3DS would get a portable Marvel vs. Capcom game. Not gonna happen, it seems. But still... PXZ2! That's all that matters!
Still having fingers crossed for an optional way to grind levels. My only complaint about the first game was that I constantly felt like I was on a slippery slope with the difficulty, where my characters just didn't level fast enough to keep up with the enemies. I am, of course, aware that in a strategy game like this you often have to out-tactic your stronger opponents, but still.
So... Will it still have no English voice acting? Can I at least please turn it off all together?
So many fan service! Sprite animation at its finest! I haven't finished the first game yet, just playing first few stage (and unfortunately, getting bored). However, I'm going to give the sequel a fair chance... heck, I might throw money just for Phoenix Wright and Maya! That said, hopefully I got around the first game before this released.
This game looks to be suffering from and even larger guy to girl ratio than before. Project X Zone 1 had a pretty even split, I hope they don't gravitate toward a very large amount of guys this time.
@DarkKirby Yeah, I've noticed this before, too. I don't know why they don't bring in Blaze from Streets of Rage to complement Axel, for example.
it looked so cool, now i have to get the first one (yeah i haven't got the first one lol) so i can understand the plot!
I like that the plot - or whatever passes for one in these crossover games - is focusing on the Shinra organization this time again. The new character looks interesting, and of course having Xiaomu and Reiji as the protagonists is the best decision in that regard I could ask for.
@DarthNocturnal I'm guessing they're only taking human looking characters, but I don't think Alex Kidd was even one of the characters there at least not a playable one because he wasn't mentioned in the featured titles.
Looks good but it makes it sound as if these are the only characters we'll get... Not as good of a lineup compared to the first.
Link and Samus would really fit into this, Link has definitely been in various crossovers now.
@FriedSquid
Yah I'm also scared, didn't think it was the full roster but the trailer makes it sound like it is
@FriedSquid
Upon review, they have announced 14 teams but only 8 solo characters so at the least there should be 6 additional solo characters to be released
Pretty cool!
I wish they didn't have that "humanoids only" rule, 'cause I was really hoping for a duo of Red & Elh from SolaToRobo, (published by Bandai Namco in Japan, and same developers as .hack) or at least the return of the Klonoa & Gantz duo from Namco X Capcom.
Oh, well; I'll take "closest-thing-this-game's-gonna-get-to-an-anthro" Felicia as consolation. (not that I wasn't excited for her already)
