Surely Kamiya realises that bland merch with the companies logo on it isn't what fans want. It's merch based on their games and their characters that fans are after.
Nobody doubts the man's artistic talent of course but i've found the majority of them jarring and off-putting. Ridley is definitely the best of the bunch so far, Samus and Pikachu are alright.
Diddy and Mega Man especially. Couldn't help laughing.
Who among us hasn't dreamt of utilizing the GamePad's motion controls to adequately imitate the feel of the Rock vs. Mankind "I Quit Match' at Royal Rumble 1999?
Love the Kairosoft sim games. Played the demo for Dungeon Village last night actually, but I can't abide their games costing twice as much on Switch so waiting for a sale.
@CharlieSmile You've hit the nail on the head. Technically impressive but functionally moot. A solution in search of a problem if you will. Perhaps we'll see a Arcade cab for the Poke Mini next.
Bomber Crew Little Nightmares: Complete Edition Fe Pool Panic West of Loathing Yoku's Island Express Late Shift 10 Second Run Returns Sushi Striker Dragon Quest Builders Night in the Woods
@Damo Ah okay. I should've been more specific. The GamesIndustry.biz one only shows the top 10 all format chart.
I meant the one on the actual Chart-Track site which has the full UK top 40 individual and all format chart. I enjoy more detail, plus who doesn't want to know that Mario Kart 7 is back in the UK top 40 again. :]
Just wanted to say thanks so much for including Dynamite Cop and Metropolis Street Racer in the top 20 here. I played an ungodly amount of both back in the day. :]
Hmm. Practically pointless and i fear it'll only appeal to a specific niche of consumers, and not one large enough to get it funded and / or make the venture profitable.
The back is fine, even though Dreamcast 2 makes no sense. Front is fine except for the bizarre and off-putting circular lines cutting through the Joy-Cons. I get what they were going for but it aesthetically, it doesn't work.
The grip is pretty shoddy, esp. considering the faux-VMU design isn't even centered properly.
@EvilLucario umm no. If you can afford a phone then you can afford some headphones with a mic. You talk about providing options, well why not have options for 'both' then?
I fear for Starlink at this high price tbh. I can't see them selling many Starship packs either given how expensive they are.
I hope i'm wrong and the Star Fox license, plus the tendency of things to sell well on Switch, ensures decent sales for it but i also wouldn't be surprised if it being in a genre that typically doesn't sell amazing numbers, plus the high price point ultimately dents its sales impact.
@the_beaver Yes you will. The official Starlink F.A.Q says the digital version of the game on Switch includes digital access to Fox and the rest of the items in the starter kit.
@Agramonte 80+ new Mini-Games, 1 to 4 player local and online. Multi-Switch 1-4 player or local 2-v-2. 7 modes: River Survival, Mario Party Mode, 2-v-2 Mode, Mini-Game Mode, Toad's Rec Room, the Mission-Based Challenge Road and Online Mariothon.
I mean what the hell else do you want in a party game.
Is it really Sony copying Nintendo though? Micro consoles existed 'before' the NES Mini. Plus, doesn't it makes complete business sense to follow what others have done when it's profitable to do so?
We yell until we are blue in the face on here that Nintendo need to copy Sony and Microsoft when it comes to proven, industry standard online infrastructure and functionality, but Sony looking at what Nintendo are doing and following suit, that's deserving of criticism? Get real.
The most important question could've been do the dev team plan to fix the widely reported loading, stuttering, camera issues in the Switch version with a day one patch or a patch further down the line?
To be fair, over the last couple of months Doom Eternal, Saints Row 3, Grandia I and Grandia II HD, Diablo III, Dragon Ball FighterZ, Disgaea 1, Digimon Survive, FIFA 19, South Park: The Stick of Truth, Fortnite and Paladins have all been confirmed or released on Switch.
There's also rumours of Dark Souls II, Spyro Remastered and Red Faction.
Not that we don't want more of course, but they are being announced.
@19Robb92 Likewise. If anything, i feel completely ambivalent about this news as on the one hand i'm happy to 'know' an overhaul is in the works, but on the hand, amazed and disappointed that it seemingly [a] hasn't started yet, or [b] has stalled and they felt they needed help.
The other possibility is that the reason they're hiring for such specific roles is because their plans for the overhaul have grown more ambitious than they once were.
Not that i hold out much hope of the latter given this is Nintendo we are talking about.
What worries me is that they're hiring for this now. Should've hired for it before launch, sometime after, basically not a year and a half after release.
@oji Another week, another comment from yourself that displays your ignorant and baseless opinions. Your faulty logic dictates that because there's a lot of releases and you don't know or care to look into what any of them are, they must be shovelware.
Either that or you don't understand the meaning of the term. At least 8 to 10 of the new releases come no-where near meeting such criteria.
Not only is the video clear, detailed and interesting but it gets straight to the damn point. No loud, extended intro, no waffling for the first 30 seconds etc. Love it.
@Quarth Can i just give you huge plaudits for your profile name and pic. Quarth is absolute hidden gem on the original Game Boy and it pleases my heart to find someone else out there who knows of it. :]
@NintendoFan4Lyf Yeah. After i read that above i was overjoyed.
That said, i am glad to see that you can play Story Mode online with friends. You just have to press 'X' on the main menu and host / join a friend and 'then' enter Story Mode.
Friend[s] can join 1-3 players on a single Switch and play Story, Arcade, Versus together if the 1-3 players on that single Switch are the host - which is nice, but it doesn't work the other way around at launch.

Re: Review: Tetris 99 - A Revolutionary Take On A Puzzle Classic
Two victories so far, but the higher in level you get, the tougher the competition. I'm finding it hard to break the top 20 now.
Re: Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker Gets Two-Player Co-op And Paid DLC
@ImagineerNik a little over £5 in the UK eShop. 5 courses, 18 new challenges and additional crowns to obtain in every level of the base game.
Re: Feature: What We Expect From The February Nintendo Direct
@Octane I'll take just Pikmin 4 any day. I think there'll be more FE Three Houses than fans realise which will upset some.
Re: Review: Observer - An Ambitious Cyberpunk Horror That Overcomes Its Faults To Provide Solid Scares
@SuperCharlie78 i guess it's optimised perfectly then and is entirely down to the Switch itself. No-one in their right mind would believe that.
