@smithyo I don't know why people are upvoting you for silly hot takes like "fuse is pointless". You can use it to augment the attack power of weapons, or give them new functional or elemental buffs. So demonstrably not pointless then.

Link looks spectacular, but the airbike configuration is all wrong and the Bokoblin is far too small relative to the size of Link.

I can't believe we live in a time where Pikmin has outsold Final Fantasy at Japanese retail in a single week! What a time to be alive.

The premise of the article makes no sense to me. Pikmin are specialists. They each have tasks they excel at. Each is a necessary part of your team. They're all the best.

@Keyblade-Dan I don't really see how it can be 'peak' Final Fantasy when Square themselves are saying it's a rebirth or departure for the series. From what i've seen, it has hack-and-slash third person action gameplay in a Game of Thrones wrapper. If it wasn't for the name and the Eikons, no-one would guess it was Final Fantasy.

@StarPoint Pikmin 2 isn't short in the slightest. It tales around 12 to 30hrs to beat that game depending on how much you want to do.

Modder completely misses the point and creates baffling mod for cheap clicks and internet points. Let's move on shall we.

Fun, but entirely pointless mod. No clue what problem it's trying to solve or what benefit it has other than causing fleeting curiosity and boosting internet cred for the creators.

Some great free updates here, but they'll be most useful to those returning to complete the game 100% or those playing for the first time. By the time any of these launch, I'll have finished my playthrough and be done with the game.

@hbkay Actually, when we were rebranding from StreetPass UK and StreetPass (insert group name), we did seek explicit permission for NPUK and NPUK groups to use the name 'Nintendo', so long as we were clear that we were independent communities.

How is anyone supposed to keep 'all' of these rules in their head?

@LiamRomK Pikmin 3 Deluxe is actually on sale fairly regularly. They usually knock the price down to £33 or so.

@SwitchForce Uh, okay. Hardly a satisfactory excusal of the way distribution has been handled and and one that doesn't negate any of the points I and others have made.

@SwitchForce Ah yes. I'd forgotten about that. Text book artificial scarcity really to capitalise on FOMO. Same goes for the unpopular in-store distribution in the first place. All designed to get you into the store in the hopes you'll buy something, even worse when some stores enforce loyalty card requirements to even obtain a code.

Then they muddy the waters further by allowing distribution of the codes online via email for all of two seconds, and then 'acting' like they've run-out when the distribution runs until 17th November and the codes themselves are still able to be generated at stores.

The last time Mario Kart 8 Deluxe had scheduled maintenance was 7th June, so we've been through this song and dance before.

The only thing that really gives it weight is that 7-Eleven tip-off. The counterpoint to that however is would Nintendo really release Wave 2 on Xenoblade Chronicles 3 launch day instead of say early August for example, where they have nothing coming out.

Nice review, but I think myself and others would've appreciated some info on the performance of the Nintendo Switch version, as well as your thoughts on how save states impact the game, particularly musical note collection.

@YamiYuseiSpl it'll be GO 'and' Unite in 5 years. No-one would be surprised if they moved on to releasing variations and Pokemon in dumb clothing once they've released every available Pokemon.

Completely pointless. Nintendo has already confirmed the chipset is exactly the same as the previous Switch revision. Of course performance is going to be identical.

No-one can ever know they're being 'conned' either by these opportunists because they have plausible deniability. They can't name sources, or plans changed internally, or Nintendo are going in a different direction. It's all so convenient.

@JJtheTexan This. I wish they'd stop fuelling the fame of ""insiders"" who peddle a lot of half truths and false predictions in the hopes you'll become part of their audience, and sites like NLife will boost their profile.

I can't stand seeing people get by off of doing almost no work, and not even being correct about what they say.

Nate was 'talking' about the possibility of GB and GBC on NSO on the recent podcast...so even his speculation gets treated as if it's major news that needs to be reported.

Deadline. Where is the deadline? How do you run an online competition and not state what the deadline for entry is.

@Damo Don't see it in the visuals either to be honest. It's not enough to have strangely proportioned kids, with playful animations and some exaggerated weaponry, and then say it 'looks' like Splatoon. It doesn't. It has some faint similarities but but come, NLife are really reaching with the comparison here.

@Damo I guess, but I watched the full trailer and didn't once think this was anything like Splatoon. Monster catching in a city is more akin to Yokai Watch, and the battling reminds me more of Final Fantasy XV.

Heritage got back to me with a 'no', since there was literally no history and I needed at least a valuation of 10k for a submission.

@HotGoomba Your point doesn't stand because it's not a game. This is always the problem when some fan makes one of these videos. People like you then conflate making a trailer with making a game, and it's a grossly unfair comparison to make.

@ochiltree It does seem like the article can't make up its mind as to whether it's asking for more online multiplayer games with friends only lobbies, or whether it wants more online multiplayer games where the primary form of interaction isn't one of violence.

If it's the former, then i have to ask, is there really a lack of online multiplayer games with friend lobbies? ... and if it's the latter, then whilst i'm broadly in favour of there being more non-violent online games to play with friends, don't muddy your argument by including Valheim and Among Us as examples.

@Bondi_Surfer This is such a dumb take. People are far too fixated on things being sturdy. Similar sized objects made with LEGO are going to be extremely heavy, and supremely uncomfortable to put up close to your face.

Wow. This is based on something so thin, so speculative. It's really a shame that people like Grubb and other "insiders" and "leakers" hold such sway, and get such attention now, irrespective of how often they're wrong.
