@Danrenfroe2016 they will have to expand on the formula a lot more if they want it to be played in anything more than fairly short bursts, it's probably why they had crazy box in the first one, but it needs that and a lot more I would say.
Never really found the games good to begin with. Only similar game I actually had a lot of fun with was Custom Robo Arena on the DS, now that was a game!
They had an opportunity to make it like Diddy Kong Racing, and would have other characters to use as potential bosses. That would've surprised many in a good way if it had a decently long and good single player mode. Shame.
@iaLgan people keep hating on Terminator 3, not quite sure why, good action scenes.. maybe the plot is too similar to the second film? Otherwise I see little wrong with it.
As for Mario, who knows how it will turn out, as with everything else everyone has their own opinion.
@Trousersnake I would not count on it, if consoles get that game at all it will be very late. At this point it's like asking if S&box will be on consoles, seems unlikely.
Wouldn't surprise me if we get Portal and L4D style games made in S&box (uses Source 2) before Valve even does anything with them games.
Worms 2 was my favourite game to play online when I had my first PC in 1999, mostly due to the game being turn based, so the lag was little/nothing and didn't really mess up the gameplay being stuck on 56k until NTL brought out 128k broadband. Made a few MSN friends from that game.
After I got 128k I got into online FPS like Return to Castle Wolfenstein and SOF2, great online games.
The only thing I don't miss is the laggy dial-up for real-time gaming.
Great game back in 2004, remember the multiplayer coming shortly after which was my go to fix for online MP after the great SOF2. This IMO was better than Doom 3.
@HeeHo I used to think 5 was average since it's the middle of 10, supposedly 6 is average. Judging by your likes by others, people now think 7 is average, this is the kind of snobbery that leads to people thinking anything rated below 8 is not worth their time.
When i first saw that this game might be open world i knew it could end up being boring.
They should've taken SA2 and improved upon it, tight fun stages and great music, maybe make it just a bit less linear and they would have had a winner.
Many of these types of games are practically softcore material, which is the definition of Ecchi and certainly not for kids. I was surprised at what they got away with in some of the Senran Kagura games, and they aren't even rated 18.
People who stream on YT openly admit not even owning games they emulate, yet I don't see Nintendo going after them.. too lazy I suspect, still odd though.
It's time for a new console, so hopefully it's for that.
Plus, I really hope they bring back Mission Mode or add some type of single player story mode, seems strange missions were in MK DS when it was a great addition, then not included in future games.
Sonic R models were pretty much close to the original anime movie, like Sonic CD cutscene style too. Wonder why they changed their looks quite a few times.
@DripDropCop146 Eh, I'm not looking for any confirmation, I'm simply stating people whine about any little thing to drag the score down.
I've seen and played stuff that had high ratings and didn't like them too. Why would i want critics to rate everything high? I think Halo is overrated, and Pokemon and a bunch of other game series.
I decide for myself if i like something. I don't run to critics first to see if they hate it. I usually do that afterwards. But that's mostly for movies.
People will find anything to complain about with films.
it's like sheep go: Movie's gotta be rated at least an 8 or it sucks, funny they do the same with games. Tho I've watched plenty of stuff even some ranked in the 6 range on IMDB and enjoyed it. All i gotta say is critics will be critics and nitpick anything possible just to moan, i use my own mind to decide if i like something.
@Blooper987 Yeah there are a good amount of family friendly ones for sure, but i mean if you take the vast majority of it overall the adult stuff probably outbalances that.
@RetroOutcast Indeed, just like the team who created SAMP the multiplayer mod for the PC version, that was extremely popular back in 2005 considering it's just a mod, even more surprising that it had so many players for years with servers having hundreds of players in them all at once.
I like how they focus on people's feelings, like the useless police.
What about youtube freely allowing certain users to show blurred murder videos and their edgy reactions seemingly enjoying it? See, this is what's wrong with the world today, pathetic little things are the priority.
Sort out the real problems, all of this control over petty little things is getting way beyond the joke now, this is why comedians like Ricky Gervais and John Cleese are taking notice.
Listening to Running Down a Dream, all while chasing down players in a helicopter in the SA multiplayer mod was hilarious back in 2005, sad to see they've cut some great songs even from VC.
These remasters are more like half remaster, even the guys that remastered that Saints Row game appear to have done a much better job than this.
When i first played this i remember me and my dad had no idea how to get to the hard routes, literally had to ask a guy in a game shop (called 5th dimension) how to do it.
Only then we realised you had to do 2 specific things in the first level to get the hard route. Kind of a little cryptic, but the game overall was very enjoyable. If there's anything I'd complain about is that I'd now wish some of the bosses were more of a challenge.
I was honestly expecting a whole new game in the style of Quake 1, or a remake. But this is a good addition with the updated models, extra levels and co-op.
I wonder how much different the game would look if they added full ray tracing, it made a big difference to the way Quake 2 looks. They should add it to the PC version.
The only time I had anything like this was the GP32 which I still have, any handheld I've had since was always a dedicated gaming handheld that had plenty of games for it.
@Roibeard64 Well I've always built my own PCs bar my first one that was prebuilt, and a cheap Dell Optiplex. Why bother buying Apple computers when you can build your own to get better performance and have it cheaper? Apple are a prime example of being overly greedy. It stalls progress and price/performance.
I've heard the odd 8-10 year old sounding kid playing adult games online, and the way some talk to them is sometimes filthy and illegal, nothing ever done about it and then the kid becomes just as toxic or more so. Not sure why parents are happy to let children learn foul language, see adult content and everything else.
Judging by the amount of young kids i hear playing mature/adult online games over the mic, I'd say most parents don't even care about what their kid sees or hears.
Even worse the toxic environments where kids will easily pick up on filth from trolls and soon turn into ones themselves.
This decision doesn't really bother me, simply because I would much rather use keyboard and mouse for any kind of FPS game anyway. The last time I could deal with a controller for FPS was on the n64, since getting into PC gaming I just can't go back to a controller for those kinds of games.
Remind me to post spoilers everywhere in comment sections next time i see a film, that's what most people do nowadays since it's the cool thing to do right?
@Randomname19 as i understand it, the cutscenes with speech were never synched to English, so when you saw characters mouths move it wasn't really matching up with the speech.
But yes agreed, the cutscenes could've been a bit better. On the bright side some of it was corny which made it kind of amusing at least.
Something is seriously wrong with the ratings system when we have Japanese games like Senran Kagura, which are blatantly either very close to, or are just straight up soft core material.. And rated below Adult Only, and then we have this..
Was thinking the same thing about a movie when i saw this yesterday. Star Fox and Oddworld are both ripe for a good movie IMO, and have been for a while.
The voice actors that are still voicing Fox and the team, like they did on the 64 game would suit a movie well too.

@Silly_G Dreamcast was actually next gen for the time though, unlike penny pinching Nintendo with their Wii which was basically just another Gamecube.

@Synecdoche so technology should halt just because you bought in late?
Nintendo is known for releasing small refreshes before a new one too, new 3DS was basically a waste of time.
Re: Round Up: The Reviews Of Valve's Steam Deck Are In - What's It Like Compared To Switch?
It's decent but I think I'd rather save the money towards a new high-end GPU when next gen cards launch later this year.
I don't game enough outside so it would be wasteful, not when I can get much more power and performance out of my PC.
Re: Nintendo Says It Won't Compete With Microsoft And Sony In An Acquisitions Arms Race
@MrHonest Might see a new Pilotwings game in another 5 years, if we're lucky.. Probably lacking content too.

Otherwise they should have taken the greatly fun SA2 and improved and expanded on what made it work.

This is also why many people dislike Apple, overpriced hardware to return very high profits.
Luckily not everyone is the same otherwise we'd have little progress.
