We've already seen quite a few Gal Gun games make their way across to the Nintendo Switch and next up will be the release of Gal Gun: Double Peace.
This particular entry in the rails shooter/dating simulation series originally made its debut on the PS4, PS Vita and PC in 2015/16. The Switch release will arrive on 17th March next year and will be available for $44.99 USD. There'll be a physical copy available, too.
The Nintendo release will be a port of the existing versions with multiple language support and a new opening movie. Most of the costume DLC that was available for older versions will also be included, and one other bonus will be "additional elements" for players who have Gal Gun 2 and Gal Gun Returns save data.
Here's some additional information via the announcement trailer:
The Gal*Gun series is centered around a protagonist who becomes Super Popular under bewildering circumstances, forcing him to fend off hordes of girls who want to confess their love to him! Using his special Pheromone Shot, he must take aim and fire at the approaching ladies to send them into states of euphoria! Meanwhile, he must confess his love to one of the beautiful heroines in this part-shooting game, part-dating sim series!
In Gal*Gun Double Peace, the 2nd game of the series, that unique gameplay mix is all there—and powered up! Some of the girls you encounter have been possessed by nasty demons, but if you play your cards right, you can send girls into euphoria with a special "double peace" pose! Event scenes with the game's heroines are also more..."intense" than ever!
The Nintendo Switch version of the game comes packed with almost all DLC outfits released on other platforms, as well as a brand new opening cinematic! There may even be a special treat for owners of other Gal*Gun games?! With all this included, it's easy to see why this is the definitive edition!

Uhhh...what? Oh, just another one of those games.
I think a lot of us are already aware most anime stuff is geared towards older teens and adults.. for obvious reasons.
@FlyingFoxy not all but that’s what anime is typically stereotyped as in the west. Some of the best series are pretty family friendly, Komi, maid sama, and Nichijou are all pretty great and feature hardly any fanservice if any at all.
Finally. Probably the best game in the series, but almost unplayable on the PS Vita. Hopefully they don't neglect to include gyro aiming this time.
@Blooper987 Yeah there are a good amount of family friendly ones for sure, but i mean if you take the vast majority of it overall the adult stuff probably outbalances that.
Well now we know who's winning GOTY.
And side note, don't let PJ O Reilly review this...please for the love of god
@Doofenshmirtz
I beg to differ. He should totally do it. With PJ O’Reilly helming the review, we’ll have consistency between reviews and an entertaining theater of war in the comments.
Nice to have the whole series on the system. Pretty fun.
I remember playing this on Vita, it was fun gameplay wise but the game is easily under 3 hours long.
But most on rail shooters are short games.
@PBandSmelly How to spot someone judgemental
Oh hell.. this is my favorite of the series. Definitely be getting a physical copy when it comes out!
@Blooper987 I hope to God that Sentai gets the license for Komi so I can buy it and add it to my collection. They did it for Kakegurui so I don't see why they can't nab Komi.
Ugh, all these fanservice games, and I just want the freakin' main Senran Kagura games on Switch already. At least give us the Burst HD port or something! >:c
@PBandSmelly Yeah, people who don't like this game are clearly both judgmental and has never spoken to women before. Just doing ya the favor of clarifying for those who may misunderstand you.
These games are amazing, really looking forward to have all on the same console
@PBandSmelly I've been married and divorced twice in the past 21 years and I love these games. They're a fun guilty pleasure, lol
@Joeynator3000 I'm also hoping they port all the mainline Senran games to Switch. That would be awesome. I have to atone for spending $100 for a physical copy of Reflexions on Switch, lol
Already started on Vita but shelved after learning that Switch would actually provide the opportunity to play through the previously unlocalized and Gen7-stuck first game. Now it looks like I'll be double-dipping on this one as well.
Poses and animations are a little too stiff for me to find this particularly rousing. ^^
@Joeynator3000 ABSOLUTELY
I was just replaying Deep Crimson on my 3ds a week ago, and the first thing that popped into my mind was how great the SK games on Vita and 3ds are.
Then reality hit me the ones on Switch are "bad" to put it very very nicely.
@Rayquaza2510 @JustMonika
I mean, Peach Ball was alright, but...two tables and 5 girls total is just...WHY?! lol (the tables themselves were kinda "meh" as well)
Reflexions just felt kinda boring to me...and again, 5 girls only. >.<
I've only played Burst and Bon Appetit on Steam. Also a little bit of Peach Beach Splash but it kept crashing on me on Steam. lol
Day one purchase!
@Ralizah
Hate to tell you this but there will be no Gyro Support unfortunately. (According to their Discord)
Looks insipid.I will never understand the appeal of these games. Is it a fantasy fetish thing?
@rawzeku Maaaaan.
I don't get it. Gal Gun 2 had gyro. Switch developers know the userbase wants gyro. I don't get it.
Outrageously lewd? This is mild compared to senran kagura games (especially peach beach splash)
Well not my cup of tea, I prefer r type and axelay and space invaders as my type of shooters.
Agree with the other commenters, this has to have gyro, if it does it'll absolutely be the definitve edition. I remember playing it on PS4 a couple of years ago but with the bonus content I'll get it again and also just to have the entire series on one system
@LUIGITORNADO The appeal is fun gameplay, fun dialog and cute girls
I wonder if the Pheromone Z dlc will be available in this package or will the try charging more than the game for it again.
Will definitely pick it up but will hold off until its on sale.
@Ralizah I think it might be because this and the first were more crosshairs on a screen whereas 2 was a bit closer to FPS controls but on rails. Just a hunch.
Big fan of the first one, just downloaded 2 in anticipation for the missing one
Best game in the series for me, got the platinum on PS4, just so, so good for a rail shooter.
@Joeynator3000 Peach Beach Splash on Switch would be fun. Since Peach Ball had a normal physical release, I was able to get it for $20.
@UltimateOtaku91 Pretty much.. just try any PC version of a visual novel that has an 18+ patch like Nekopara or Maitetsu. Let the offending begin, lol
@JustMonika just checked the nekopara pc mod you mentioned as I enjoyed the anime and I will never look at vanilla the same again, what have you done 😭😂
@RandomNPC
I believe all the DLC will be included in the Switch version.
Source: Saw it on the description on a online store that has it available for preorder now saying "Includes DLC and costumes from the original Ga*Gun Double Peace already unlocked in game!"
@UltimateOtaku91 Yeah I own all 4 volumes on Switch (no H scenes here, lol .. I don't own a PC so I can't play the patched versions anyways, lol) and I own the anime. I love Nekopara. The other day a new game was announced and the series has sold 5 million copies. Good news all around. Chocola, Vanilla and Coconuts are best catpanions!
@UltimateOtaku91 Check out the final scene for Volume 4 on an adult site. He literally ***** all the catgirls at once, lol. It's crazy. I actually prefer Nekopara without the H scenes though, tbh. In the all ages version he simply kisses all the girls. Kissing is what he does instead of doing them, lol. Although in the PS4 version they even removed kissing.
@JustMonika intend to avoid Hentai related things although I don't mind the ecchi anime such as how not to summon a demon Lord and High-school DXD.
I played the first volume of nekopara on the switch and then found out there was anime, so I had a choice of either spending £30 on the next three volumes or watch the anime so I went with the anime in the end, I don't know if the anime is the exact same as the game though?
Also can't believe sony even got rid of kissing, I don't understand why Sony became like they are now, they used to have games like senran kagura, Yu-No and valkyrie drive without any censorship
@UltimateOtaku91 Well again, the original YU-NO also is 18+ .. let's put it this way, most visual novels with romance routes have a PC counterpart that has an optional 18+ patch. Aokana, If My Heart Had Wings and many others. Some of my favorite anime series have ecchi in them such as Date A Live, To Love Ru, Konosuba (Aqua with no panties, lol), Monster Musume.. but then I also enjoy wholesome stuff like K-ON! (I have a tattoo of Yui Hirasawa that takes up half my arm, lol), Chunibyo, Interviews with Monster Girls and so forth. Date A Live is my #1 favorite though and I can't wait until season 4 drops. You on Facebook or Twitter? Lol
@JustMonika I have Facebook but don't use it and I have twitter, I think of you love anime then it's hard to avoid ecchi in some way or another, I mean I've watched about every isekai over the last two years and ecchi is involved in 90% of those.
@UltimateOtaku91 Add me on Twitter then .. @Solidgearmara is my username
