They haven't updated or bugfixed AYCE in 2-3 years now and yet they release OC2 on Switch 2 now. Feels like a lazy cash grab but I do really enjoy OC2 and the frame rate upgrade is appealing.
This applies to Overcooked 2 only the upgrade does. You cannot upgrade from All you can eat
This is exactly what happened with Overcooked 2, added online multiplayer. Probably get a remaster of both games down the line like Overcooked All You Can Eat had both games and added online multiplayer to the first game.
On topic: enjoyed the first game, excited for this one. Would be nice if they did more DLC than they did for the first game also, the Movers in Paradise DLC was a very good expansion
I hope Snow Bros gets confirmed for this, it would be very good on an arcade cabinet type device seeing as it is an arcade game.
It was released on the Japanese Mega Drive Mini so it could happen.
My new discounts are (Europe):
20% off Captain Toad - 600 Platinum
40% off Captain Toad - 100 Gold
10% off Fire Emblem Fates on Release (expires 19th May though) - only 20 Gold coins!
20% off Animal Crossing New Leaf - 600 Platinum
Here was me thinking it was going to be larger than 14,000 blocks which is my biggest download to date.
Shin Megami Tensei IV is over 14,000 blocks and it forced me to upgrade my SD card on my New 3DS XL. Haven't regretted it though, having nearly 170,000 blocks of space!
I'd love to download DK Tropical Freeze but it's 11GB to download and there's no chance of having that much space. DK Country Returns on 3DS is good for me though
Haven't paid a penny to these games, I'm typically a frugal person and it's not in my nature to part with money when I don't have to.
Played Pokemon Shuffle up to level 150 and got fed up with how luck based and how "pay to win" it's becoming so I stopped playing.
Pokemon Rumble I was bored of within 15 mins and shut it off, was fed with everything dying in one hit and it's just a mashing game.
Badge Arcade I'm enjoying for now, I managed to get the Rosalina badge buried at the bottom of one of the machines through free plays. Just find the rabbit annoying and the lack of variety on badges. Also find annoying that when you get free plays, you must use them there and then otherwise you lose them. Believe me I've tried powering off on a free play and when you come back, it's gone for good. It's only good when you get 2-3 free plays at a time for this reason.
I would also like to add that I'm enjoying Amiibo festival, it's something different to play and I like that there's new ideas being thrown out there. It's not a Mario Party clone in my opinion, it actually does a lot different to Mario Party and I think the game play is closer to Fortune Street/Boom Street than Mario Party.
Then again I've already been collecting the Animal Crossing Amiibo cards for a few months and that adds to the experience of Amiibo festival. I spent £82 on the game and 5 amiibos and got a free amiibo case aswell so the game realistically cost me £20 after deducting the value of those items.
Me and my partner are Animal Crossing fans anyway so we weren't gonna turn down this game and we wanted to pick up the Amiibos.
Haven't picked up Mario Tennis yet but I'm tempted because it's £39.99 to download and it comes free with Mario Tennis 64 which I haven't downloaded yet. Also Toadette, Boo and Rosalina are all playable in that game so it's a huge plus!
Paid full price for this game in Europe and I think it's worth every penny anyway. Waiting for Etrian Odyssey Untold 2 still but it's not out till February here
A bit puzzled by the AC release on DS VC but then again, I've just started playing New Leaf on 3DS and it's an addictive game. Might get it eventually but not a priority right now.
Mario Tennis is a must buy for me, Toadette and Boo being playable has won it over for me. Getting AC:Amiibo Festival with 5 amiibos aswell which is also coming out this week but isn't downloadable. Despite that game not receiving a warm welcome at E3, I like the concept and I'm a fan of local 4 player games which are a dying breed these days. I'm happy that Nintendo can still bring a few games of this type every year .
I intend on getting the digital release of this game so I'm not sure if I'm able to get this anyway. I've been getting a lot of retail releases recently to support Nintendo and I've got a 32GB Micro SD on my New 3DS XL. I think in some cases the digital prices are reasonable, especially on the Atlus games which are available to download and the recent Nintendo Selects offering. It also means I'm guaranteed the game on release day and at my convenience.
Opted for the Xbox One version myself personally. Nothing against the Wii U but I'd rather keep my Rhythm games off it and on the Xbox360/XB1.
Got 2 guitars for the XB1 version and I've had problems having them both connected at once already. I think GHTV is great, it's something new and if you watch music channels normally then you can play GH at the same time. In my opinion, GH tried to compete with RB the DLC way last generation and Rock Band beat them hands down. With that considered, I'm glad GH has gone down the route it has and changed the controller, ditched the band experience and implemented GHTV. It now means I have 2 different music games completely, Rock Band 4 is my co-op/band game and GH Live is my single player game which I have to learn all over again being an Expert guitar player.
I must say, I went to town yesterday and visited Game and HMV in the process. There were GH Live bundles stacked all over them, and they were very visible and well advertised. There's even been a lot of TV adverts for GH Live over here in the UK so if they aren't selling, they aren't selling.
Happy to see Toadette confirmed for this game so it's guaranteed me buying the game now.
I'm getting AC:af in Europe and I'm buying 3 amiibos with it from the Nintendo store. Already started collecting the series one cards and we have the album. I don't like how Nintendo store have limited the cards to one per customers because they are by far the cheapest for them.
@RupeeClock I also noticed those symbols on the amiibo cards, the dice block number, the animal logo or if they were a important character "SP" instead.
I instantly thought of Amiibo festival when I saw the dice block symbols but I honestly don't know what it could mean.
Perhaps there will be an amiibo card mode in it perhaps, an enhanced card game which makes use of Amiibo festival, it sounds pretty good now that I think of that.
I bought my partner Happy Home Designer for her birthday yesterday and she likes Animal Crossing as a whole and she's instantly hooked on collecting the cards and now wants the card album and more amiibo cards. Then again she used to like collecting sticker albums as a kid so it's nostalgia for her .
I'm puzzled as to why Nintendo Store UK is the cheapest place for amiibo cards aswell (£3.50). Amazon is £4.85 and didn't even know GAME sold them but I don't even consider them anymore. They didn't have a one per customer limit on the amiibo cards when I checked yesterday aswell, that's pretty lame that they've implemented that now because you'd be miles away from getting free delivery (over £20) if that's all you wanted.
Doesn't affect me much. Have them on both Wii mode and XBLA anyway. I'm more concerned whether they are going to make 3D versions of more Sonic games anytime soon. Really enjoying the 3D classics from SEGA.
Glad the 3pk is not a neccessity to get a particular amiibo like it was with Splatoon's Squid amiibo. In my experience the 3pks have always sold out immediately, I don't want all of these amiibos but it would be nice to get some particular ones.
We need a Resetti amiibo aswell, or is he too angry and mean looking for this game?
@Poketendo You need to play Mario and Luigi Superstar Saga on GBA, that is by far the best game in Mario and Luigi series in my opinion. Although I have not played Dream Team Bros on 3DS yet at the time of saying this.
@DontPlayDumb The TCG Online has a free to play model in place, you can play for free with 3-4 basic decks to choose from and unlock card packs with tokens you collect. You can collect tokens by winning online matches, doing daily challenges, pretty much anything gives out tokens but the amount varies. You can even unlock more decks to use if you're willing to collect tokens a bit more. It's basicly a better experience if you collect the cards in real life because you can then bring those cards into the online game but it's still ok if you don't actually collect the cards anymore. I play the TCG online quite regularly, I think the free to play model is quite well implemented, it seems to give you just enough tokens to not make it feel like a grind. The only problem with it I find is it seems to need a lot of internet bandwidth and even my high spec laptop seems to lag sometimes while running it.
Mario vs Donkey Kong on GBA for me. Own the DS March of the minis one in cartridge form but haven't really got a GBA to play on anymore so couldn't play the GBA one.
Looking forward to playing it, already played the DS Mini land Mayhem and that was my first M vs DK game.
@Grumblevolcano Ah ok, didn't know that because I have not done anything with the editor yet because I'm enjoying playing the levels so much.
Surely I'm not the only one who is just enjoying the created content for now and gradually moving onto the level editor when settled into the game. It's a good way to see what can be done in the editors and it's inspiring to people like me.
Just glad SMB3 and SMW are the top 2. Feel like those 2 games aren't getting enough love in Mario Maker at the moment. Every time I play 100 man challenge, it's 75% New SMB and 15% Original SMB and the remaining 10% is split between SMB3 and SMW.
I know the amount of people who prefer the retro ones to New SMB may be outnumbered though
Being a fan of MP10's Amiibo Party, I'm actually interested in AC amiibo festival. I believe the game will be free to download but you need to buy the amiibos for it so even with one per player, it's not going to be much more expensive than a full game purchase.
I think Woolly World is a great release, I'm enjoying it much better than Splatoon's single player experience. I'm just a fan of the Yoshi's Island series though and the amount of similarities is unbelievable, it's nostalgic! The game is made too easy though with those power badges, especially the immunity to lava and fire one. It made some levels so easy that all you had to do was watch out for the shy guys. Yes, you don't have to use them but it's just the fact that they are there. At least one power badge allows you to bring Poochy into any level with you. I've also noticed the flutter jump is too OP now and you can just flutter repeatedly flutter and remain airbourne indefinitely, it took me a while to notice that though. Loved the amiibo integration aswell, some of the amiibo skins look amazing and the fact that all my amiibos were compatible was a nice addition to the game. I don't have a Yarn Yoshi so can't comment on that, have a normal Yoshi though and that was interesting.
Overall, really happy the game is doing as well as it can in the charts.
I'm ashamed to say I've used the Krak-on Splat Roller a lot in this game, it was the only weapon I could get good with to start off with but I have been trying out other weapons recently and the Inkbrush is another good weapon.
The Kraken's aren't hard to avoid, if you go into squid mode then they are easier to avoid because your hit box is smaller and you're much harder to see.
Also started loving the Ninja Squid ability recently and thought the speed wasn't much lower than a non-Ninja's swim speed, I guess my opinion there will change after the update.
Regarding the inkstrike, I've gotten used to the whole people firing off inkstrikes at the closing seconds of matches. I don't mind so much because why shouldn't it count, as long as they fire off the rocket before the timer is up?
I'm not arguing with any of those 6 games being there.
Never played WoW but I have siblings who swore by it and were always trying to get me into it so there's no doubt it was revolutionary.
Just happy to see no Call of Duty, FIFA, Angry Birds or Minecraft. I have no denial that they deserve to be in there but they should be allowed in after the much older titles have been inducted. If it wasn't for these older titles then the video game industry might not have survived and we would be years behind.
Lol, funny thing is I remember all your helpful achievement guides over at Xbox Achievements on various rhythm games so I know you were good at the game. I particularly remember your guides for DJ Hero's Beats and Pieces 5* Expert and DJ Hero 2's Speedrail/I Will be There 400NS.
Anyway on topic, there's not really anything exciting about this game and I worry that if I try and get too good at this newer Guitar Hero, it will affect my co-ordination for when I return to play the older iterations given the difference in the fret buttons between them. I do want to get Rock Band 4 but I don't own a Xbox One or PS4 and I have no reason to other than that. Seriously don't ask! The only thing I'd probably play in the Xbox One catalogue is the new Gears of War games (not sure if it's a remake of the previous ones).
Big Brain Academy on DS is a bit of a random addition to the VC, it is a good game but again it's going to suffer like Mario Kart DS as all of its multiplayer options are essentially void. I do still own the original cartridge and it's a great game if you play it with other people who enjoy that sort of thing.
It's a good alternative to Brain Training but it's essentially half a game without multiplayer plus the original cartridge on eBay will probably cost less than £6.29
Being a massive Lemmings fan, I fail to see much of a resemblance in this game. You were able to give Lemmings skills to allow them to overcome obstacles and you weren't able to move the terrain around (only minimal terrain movement in Lemmings Touch)
Yes the mice are blindly walking to their doom but that is the only minor similarity to Lemmings. Don't mean to be harsh but I'm fed up of seeing games branding themselves as similar to Lemmings as a way of attracting attention.
Only dealing with GAME for the Splatoon Girl amiibo and it was dispatched yesterday. Getting the Splatoon Boy from Amazon (not dispatched yet) Getting the Game Only from Gameseek (dispatched on Tuesday and yet to arrive). I wasn't sure whether I wanted the amiibos when I preordered, that's why I've got them coming from different places and no squid amiibo. But if I did go for the squid amiibo then I probably would have went with GAME so I dodged the bullet there!
I feel for those affected though, I'm actually looking forward to the release day of this game and I don't tend to care much about having new releases on Day one usually.
It's a shame Codename STEAM has seem abysmal sales in all 3 main regions, I bought the game on day one and I'm happy with the additional amiibo functionality (lucky to have a Marth).
It's easy to pick up and put down, it's an easy to learn strategy game, they even updated it to make it faster from what I can gather. The demo had me hooked when I played it, if you're into this sort of strategy game then it's a must have in my opinion.
We may never see any sequels to this game now let alone any more games of this kind and that does annoy me a bit being a fan.
2 songs there are from the very first Guitar Hero game back on PS2. Higher Ground - RHCP and Cowboys from Hell - Pantera.
At least they are most likely going to be master tracks this time round and not covers. This batch is much better than the last batch I saw which was the batch with Ed Sheeran in it. Not sure if that is actually the batch released before this one though or I've missed one somewhere on this site.
I still have this game for my DS and like the multiplayer aspects of it too much for me to even warrant buying it on Wii U VC. The minigames are still very fun, especially Luigi's Casino themed ones.
I was quite sad when New Super Mario Bros 2 came out and they ditched the minigame multiplayer games idea because the idea did not feel flawed and it could have worked again a second time round.
Also, I'm a bit confused as to why the article hints that 3 out of the 4 games could be released as VC titles when two of them are in fact a 3DS and a Wii U title, unless there is another one I'm not aware of. I'm thinking there is one on Wii and DS aswell.
I did purchase 3 more amiibos in the last week, 2 of them are preorders and one is already out. The 2 preorders are for Splatoon amiibos from Amazon (which are also £14.99 each) and the other was for Kirby to compliment the recent Kirby game.
I did notice the extremely high retail price for amiibos on Shopto before going to Amazon, Shopto would have had my business had they not been obviously trying to rip me off (£19.85 seriously!), it's not like it was just for the newer amiibos either, it was for most of the ones that had been out for ages aswell.
I have to rely on online retailers for amiibos sadly and I think Shopto is taking advantage there just as much as GAME are. I've only ever seen amiibos in the shops once a few months ago and that was at Tesco and even then they were Wave 1 Smash amiibos (luckily I did see Wii Fit Trainer and Marth which I instantly bought)
@Moon @gcunit Gave that a try and I was able to free JUST enough blocks, my problem is I have 2 titles which were preinstalled from 3DS XLs, New Super Mario Bros 2 and MK7 which are 2700 blocks and 5100 blocks respectively. I performed a system transfer to my New 3DS XL recently and it means that under no circumstances I can delete those 2 titles otherwise I'll never get them back because there is no way to redownload them.
I'll download Shin Megami Tensei and then delete it again, and then download it again when my new micro SD arrives, after I transfer everything over.
Getting a physical copy of Codename STEAM delivered on Friday, the only other thing that tempts me is the discount on Harvest Moon Tale of 2 Towns.
Still trying to get Shin Megami Tensei IV which is on offer and ending on Thursday but my 4GB 3DS SD card is too small for it being a whopping 14,000 blocks. Have ordered a 32GB Micro SD but I'm going to miss the offer now as it will arrive too late, hope it goes back on sale again in the future. At least downloading 3DS titles could be more of an option in the future after it arrives.
Have Lost World in my backlog and intend on playing it at some point. I want to play Sonic Boom and give it a chance (tried the demo and didn't find it absolutely terrible) but I refuse to pay £30-£35 for it which has been its price since release pretty much.
I also thoroughly enjoyed Generations and Unleashed, if they can return to the format those games had then I'd be happy but I just don't see that happening now since they have given Sonic a rehash with the whole Sonic Boom look. Nothing will ever beat the original Mega Drive games no matter how good the Sonic franchise gets though.

More Pokemon Ranger games on the way on Wii U as well

How is Splatoon even on this list? It's hardly a local multiplayer game "Family on the couch" type game.

Every time I play 100 man challenge, it's 75% New SMB and 15% Original SMB and the remaining 10% is split between SMB3 and SMW.
I know the amount of people who prefer the retro ones to New SMB may be outnumbered though
Re: The Animal Crossing amiibo Range is Bigger Than We Thought
Being a fan of MP10's Amiibo Party, I'm actually interested in AC amiibo festival.
I believe the game will be free to download but you need to buy the amiibos for it so even with one per player, it's not going to be much more expensive than a full game purchase.
Re: Yoshi's Woolly World Cuddles Up to Fourth Spot in the UK Charts
Re: Splatoon Version 1.3.0 Update Due on 30th June, Gameplay Adjustments Detailed
Re: You Can Now Wear The Mushroom Kingdom On Your Wrist
It's a nice watch but £175!
If I bought a watch for that much money I wouldn't even wear it. It would be on my mantelpiece!
Re: Super Mario Bros. Inducted Into the World Video Game Hall of Fame
Re: Video: This Is What It Will Be Like To Play Guitar Hero Live
@Crimson_Ridley
Re: Nintendo Download: 4th June (Europe)
Big Brain Academy on DS is a bit of a random addition to the VC, it is a good game but again it's going to suffer like Mario Kart DS as all of its multiplayer options are essentially void.
I do still own the original cartridge and it's a great game if you play it with other people who enjoy that sort of thing.
It's a good alternative to Brain Training but it's essentially half a game without multiplayer plus the original cartridge on eBay will probably cost less than £6.29
Re: MouseCraft Will Hope to Make Some Cheese on the Wii U eShop
Being a massive Lemmings fan, I fail to see much of a resemblance in this game. You were able to give Lemmings skills to allow them to overcome obstacles and you weren't able to move the terrain around (only minimal terrain movement in Lemmings Touch)
Yes the mice are blindly walking to their doom but that is the only minor similarity to Lemmings. Don't mean to be harsh but I'm fed up of seeing games branding themselves as similar to Lemmings as a way of attracting attention.
Re: Weirdness: Lorry Thieves Make Off With Splatoon Special Editions in Europe
Only dealing with GAME for the Splatoon Girl amiibo and it was dispatched yesterday.
Getting the Splatoon Boy from Amazon (not dispatched yet)
Getting the Game Only from Gameseek (dispatched on Tuesday and yet to arrive).
Re: Nintendo UK Planning Massive Marketing Push For Splatoon
@KevTastic84
Nice video, thanks for posting that.
I particularly liked the Rollers on the side of the pool.
Re: Code Name S.T.E.A.M. Fails to Chart in Week of Poor Sales in Japan
Re: Here's Your Next Helping Of Guitar Hero Live Tracks
@bluedogrulez
Yeah I believe there was one MCR track announced in an earlier article from a few weeks ago, can't remember what song it was though
Not much for me in this batch but the last batch was good so wasn't expecting it to be as good this time around.
Re: Newly Confirmed Guitar Hero Live Tracks Bring The Spandex And Poodle Perms
2 songs there are from the very first Guitar Hero game back on PS2.
Higher Ground - RHCP and Cowboys from Hell - Pantera.
At least they are most likely going to be master tracks this time round and not covers.
This batch is much better than the last batch I saw which was the batch with Ed Sheeran in it. Not sure if that is actually the batch released before this one though or I've missed one somewhere on this site.
Re: New Super Mario Bros. Receives ESRB Rating For Wii U Virtual Console
Re: Nintendo Unable To Promise When It Can Remedy amiibo Stock Nightmare
Re: Nintendo Download: 14th May (Europe)
@Moon @gcunit
Gave that a try and I was able to free JUST enough blocks, my problem is I have 2 titles which were preinstalled from 3DS XLs, New Super Mario Bros 2 and MK7 which are 2700 blocks and 5100 blocks respectively.
Re: Nintendo Download: 14th May (Europe)
Getting a physical copy of Codename STEAM delivered on Friday, the only other thing that tempts me is the discount on Harvest Moon Tale of 2 Towns.
Still trying to get Shin Megami Tensei IV which is on offer and ending on Thursday but my 4GB 3DS SD card is too small for it being a whopping 14,000 blocks. Have ordered a 32GB Micro SD but I'm going to miss the offer now as it will arrive too late, hope it goes back on sale again in the future.
At least downloading 3DS titles could be more of an option in the future after it arrives.
Re: SEGA Records Financial Losses and Aims to Stick With "Mainstay IP" Game Releases
