Hope the store front works better than the PlayStation one. That one just opens the website itself which is super slow and has a tendency not to pick up my clicks making it practically worthless.
Would like to have a faster and easier way to browse the store though.
Question, is the game worth buying just to play courses in the game itself and player-made courses (as in normal, playable, not super hard courses)? Not one for content creation.
Always wary about this as it feels like pushing us to rebuy games it’s released multiple times before (not all but some) if we want the “possibility” of releases of games that have rarely or never been ported to home consoles before. I.e the games that might actually interest people to buy.
@Xiovanni Think I still have a busted one somewhere too. Would be funny to learn they received boxes of broken phones. Wonder if they’d get the message though.
Probably will play in Kids Mode though. Whilst I don’t mind a partial weapon downgrade when you loose a life to loose all weapons and in some cases speed ups when shot down, in later levels you may as well restart as it’ll be almost impossible to progress any further.
Can slightly understand as whilst I loved Bravely Second, I much preferred Bravely Default despite the repeating chapters in the second half. As already stated, I used those chapters to level up and learn more about all the great characters. One area BD also had the advantage was in the music especially the special attacks. They were epic in BD but rather forgetable In Brave Second.
Must have missed Pac-man. This morning I spent almost 45min scrolling through the Current Offers section in the eShop, with its constant slowing down and loading as I went further down the list.
Nintendo really have to crack down on the “serial offerers” who do so just to appear on the Offers page and perhaps make it possible to show like 20+ titles on a single page at any one time. With all the gunk being allowed on the eShop these days, checking the offers each week is becoming a chore rather than something to be excited for. The best option is to simply add any game you see with even the most remote interest in potentially buying tonyour list so you can just check it to see if they are on offer.
With my Persona 4 Royal accidentally sent to my work address, I will have to make do with finishing off Ace Combat 5 and maybe Luigi’s Mansion 3. Then may try to go back to Kingdom Hearts 3.
I never even unwrapped my 3DS copy. Bought it just for the N3Ds plates and the Theme code. Wii version remains one of my all time favourite JRPGs and this may become the first ever RPG I’ll replay.
PS4 design looks so cheap, like a couple of those 3rd party bootleg skin stickers. Switch at least looks like some creative thought went into it and actually painted as such; except the joycon dock.
Maybe when it’s available on a super sale in a few years, because I’d sooner run through the high street screaming “free toilet paper, pasta, rice and beer” than support these cheapskate practices. Especially considering the income they get from GTA Online.
Thankfully got mine. Out of stock at Nintendo UK and ShopTo. I imagine elsewhere too.
Wouldn’t be surprised if a fair few orders have been made from North America due to the EU version seemingly being the CE with the most swag. True, would much have preferred a CD OST to a frisbee but it does look nice. Could always nail it to the wall as an art piece.
@Mach_Rider Being just a sound selection, probably better just to wait for an official OST release. Saying that I have the original official OST CD but I’ve heard they’ve composed some good arrangements recently.
The tone looks like it has potential to provide some enjoyable humour; but the gameplay looks like team-based multiplayer centric gameplay so that’s a pass from me.
I guess this is one of those cases where the portable console mindset is used; want your own island get your own Switch and game. Of course not everyone was an extra £250 to 350 lying around for another console and game; but the incentive to buy is added in.
Of course seeing as I’ve never played an Animal Crossing game before I can’t really comment on this so I’ll let those with experience share their thoughts.
Loved the original, put 100+ hrs to the end. Would gladly play again if the graphics receive a significant update and offer new regions to explore. The journeying through the wilderness made the game as well as the story.
Not interested in Smash Brothers but if they ever digitally rereleased GC games this would be a heck of a plus.
I really need to get my Wii out to play through some GC titles I missed (to use Component cable, although adore anyone have experience with those GC HDMI adaptors?).
I seriously worry the eShop is becoming the new Steam. I used to look forward to scrolling through the latest games and deals every thursday, now I partially dread it or give up half way through after having to wade through all the stuff pooped out (LOL ironically relevant) by some people. Honestly, are these games created by software sweatshops or something?
Frankly, I’m reaching the point I’d welcome quality control gatekeeping.
Already own the X & Z collections physically but bought the X games digitally last time on sale for easy access. Never liked the Classic Series as much though.
Sigh, I both want to and not want to know what goes on in Konami’s decision making room. Cos I’m picturing a lot of people wearing suits only in their top halves and lots of pillow forts being built; as well as possibly more unsettling actions cos that’s the only explanation i can give for how these decisions get green lit.
Step in the right direction. Sega needs to go into its back catalogue of arcade games that have rarely or even never had home console releases if it hopes for this Sega Ages to work. Especially those that never got releases outside Japan.
Maybe even go so far as translating story heavy games if it seems financially viable. Saying that i don’t expect a digital copy of Panzer Dragoon Saga making its way via Sega Ages. Was it the source code that was lost?
Well I guess that she means she only played an emotionless brick of a character with all the pleasantness of a flaming arrow with an overdue tax bill attached, rather than actually being one. Still, being able to pull that off is a skill unto itself.
Having finally bought a Super NT I can vouch for the quality. Their products. Looking forward for the Pocket to get through the GBA collection on the commute.
You said that it contains both the Japanese and International editions; however does that mean the Voice Acting in the Japanese edition of ZX isn’t available in the English version? Or in ZX Advent for that matter that sounded atrocious with English VA’s?
I’m guessing the slight increase in gore of MMZ also remains only in the JP version.
I think i remember watching the anime. May grab it but to be honest I have bought multiple VN’s on Vita & Switch and only ever played for like half an hour on 2. Maybe the whole reading aspect of a VN doesn’t work for me, even though I tend to prefer Subs to Dubs.
It’s for the game’s secret zombie mode! At a certain date in the evening the dead rise and the AnC characters pull out their secret stash of assault rifles, shotguns and Molotov’s cocktails and have to spend the evening defending their homes in an action packed shoot,em up mini-game!! XD
@Anri02 I remember when one of the commenters here spoiled it. It got deleted but having not played the game, it did lower my excitement for the film after being spoilt.
That and the person arrogantly defending their spoiling.
Although I doubt they will add it now, I really wish Nintendo would ad. A shopping cart so i could bulk buy. I like to bundle all the titles I’m interested in and then trim them down until I have a total that’s I am comfortable paying.
Also made me remember Knights in the Nightmare on DS. That had quite the soundtrack.
So many great JRPGs and such in the DS era, I really gotta go back and play so many of the old ones I had. Makes being unable to take the train a real annoyance.
Honestly I never get too excited about Nintendo’s reviews as the sale prices are rarely that low for big games. Bringing them down to like £19.99 or even £9.99 is a sale in my eyes, but £49.99 to £39.99 is still quite an investment. Of course this is probably due to my preference for physical games and the only big digital titles I buy are those I now treat as “rentals” and thus wish to pay what I used to in the Blockbuster era.
Okay, my attention has been reacquainted with the turnaround. Now is it all on the cartridge or do we have a half and half pizza case where the other half is covered in olives, anchovies, pineapple and artichokes? Of course this can wait until after the scare has calmed down.
@HalBailman Sometimes people want to experience a game again on different hardware, or maybe they’ve yet to finish it and would prefer to play it portable in this case as it suits their current lifestyle. I’ve quadruple-dipped on at least 1 occasion and that’s cos I like the game so much I wanted to play it again but experience it on different hardware to see what it’s like with a different controller or if there are differences out of interest.
I wonder how many of these will be classified as “Ubisoft Games”. I just hope they learnt from the Ghost Recon Breakpoint debacle. Looking back I think the last Ubi game I bought was Ghost Recon Future Soldier, which was dull as dishwater compared to the 2 Advanced Warfighter games that found the perfect middle ground between exciting combat and the need for at least some tactical thought and planning.
@Zuljaras The ESRB started doing that as their lame excuse when the whole loot box kerfuffle kicked off. Publishers got arround this by installing the microtransactions via patch at a later date to avoid them being popped on the box or mentioned in reviews.
Sega has such a rich history and whilst arcade games may not have the mass market appeal, they have a dedicated following. They just need to be priced accordingly and made available; not just release the same few Mega Drive games over and over again with a few additions here and there. Some upcoming potential with Streets of Rage 4 and the Panzer Dragon remakes.
Of course my biggest concern is whether this will be enough. If Sega is looking for incomes equivalent to major 3rd party publishers, then it’ll have to develop and publish games with mass market appeal and unfortunately, monetisation (until Darwinism wipes out those people who keep that crap profitable).

Well my non-gamer wife likes them. Now wondering whether they will allow exports...
And yes, women like to wear cute undergarments and be the only ones to see them.

Extremely minor change but every little helps.
However, when the heck are we getting a dang shopping cart!?!?!

May not be my desired Ace Combat on the Switch, but it’ll do.
Re: Sega Says Thunder Force AC Is Hitting The Switch eShop "Soon"
@BulkSlash Or at least either a partial downgrade (I.e. Super Aleste) or the ability to pick up some power ups soon after dying (Psikyo Shm’ups).

So if I don’t support it then it won’t be a smartphone game? Loved the first 2 games so talk about a rock and a hard place.
When will these people realise we don’t want smartphone games?!
Maybe time to send him a message in the form of a smashed smartphone in the mail with a brief message attached.

Re: Nintendo Announces 'Up To 80% Off' Switch Sale, More Than 300 Games To Be Discounted (Europe)
Guess I'm glad I skipped buying FFIX yesterday. It comes on sale regularly.
Thing is I predict a lot of the games on sale will be shovelware or small / modest discounts of like 10-30% for anything truly meaty.

Kingdom Hearts 3 on PS4 and Bowsers Inside Story on DS. Although may go back to Ace Combat 5 as well.

@KitsuneNight Seriously? $9?!?! Okay an addition to the culprit’s penance; he/she has to swallow their Switch.
Are there really that many streamers and joke gamer hitters out there they expect to buy this travesty?
Re: Mini Review: Pooplers - We’re Not Kidding, This Game Really Is Poop
Whoever approves this game on release should have their own Switch cleared of all data and have this game added as the only one.
So how much is this waste of space?

Guess another CD import from Japan for the soundtrack.
