@daveMcFlave As a Canadian looking in, thank you for your voter service. 🫡 I will be voting for the Federal Liberals in our Fall 2025 elections.
"PeePee" as we call the CON leader up here is one giant "maple maga" phoney.
🍊 traitor is a fascist, weakening the global position of the US, has sold out the entire federal government to oligarchs and unelected bureaucrats, dismantling vital services most of the country relies on, has skyrocketed corruption, and is threatening war with Greenland, Panama, Canada and others, and that's on top of the tarrifs.
A revolution must happen. This is untenable. A complete, utter betrayal to allies and to the people. And as for him, life imprisonment is deserved. 🔥
@WhiteTrashGuy Awwww. 😢 now if only Rogue Squadron would get an official switch port, you could finally make amends for that error. 🙏🥹
I remember seeing games for sale like Mario RPG and at that time I didn't know what the acronym "RPG" meant, so despite being a huge Mario fan I never asked for it as a gift nor even rented the game. It's possible none of my local stores had it available to rent, but I don't remember.
I also remember seeing the original big box EarthBound and being highly intrigued by its size and the cover, but I skipped it too and never played it until the Wii U, lol. 😅
Also it was crazy how expensive some games were back then, especially for the N64. I remember paying $80 CAD for Banjo Kazooie, and I recall seeing the Quake 2 port for $114!! + tax!!! 😵😵
@Toastmaster I can get through Doom just fine. I'm nearly 40 and am well aware of how game design has changed to make them more accessible. Then again, we had players guides back then and magazine issues often had helpful guides as well, so it's not like everyone was an expert and never got lost in anything. People still got stuck.
@sketchturner That was my same exact problem with Turok 2. I could never legitimately beat the first level without cheats back in the N64 days, because I could never find the four missing kids. T2 is such an amazing game from a technical standpoint, the weapons, music, multiplayer, it's all great, but the campaign level design is absolutely horrendous.
@Puddle If you're talking about VideoGames Plus or PNP Games, just come out and say so. No reason to act like we can't talk about these online stores. I want more people to know about these places as an alternative to using LRG directly.
@Bunkerneath It is very hard to tell sometimes. It's stunning how often I read that seal of quality comment and the person is being 100% unironic. My apologies.
There's nothing you NL staff guys won't defend. Push ⬜ staff defended Sony's live service garbage for years only to have it implode, now you're defending the loss of Gold coins, saying it's "not surprising". No one should take any opinions of this media company seriously. Ever.
To anyone subbing to them monthly with the little oo symbol, wtf are you doing?? 🤦♂️
@Bunkerneath For the last GD time, the seal of "quality" only signified an official product, not the quality of the actual software itself (that being also highly subjective).
"but please note that it's not a limited release."
Take note Ubisoft, Bethesda/M$, Disney, Sega, Konami,, etc.. every other legacy publisher, you CAN release your games through regular retail, NOT through Limited Scumf-k Games! 😡
@Pillowpants Oh definitely, and if we look at the numbers, the NES has 740ish official games in its entire library, I believe?
Whereas when you factor in modern digital storefronts, something the NES didn't have, where any random publisher can poop out a digital turd for $2, modern console libraries are numbering up in the thousands of titles.
We've never had a larger number of new games being produced to play as we do today, so it gives the appearance we're drowning in an ocean of garbage games, whereas the fewer, less frequent releases of past generations, of which let's be honest there are a relative ton of crap games on the NES, the bad ones don't seem as prevalent or as widespread of a problem.
@Pillowpants Well it's true, the "seal of quality" only meant a product was official. It has zero to do with how good a title actually was, which even then is highly subjective. Yet the bull 💩 misconception perpetuates to this day...
I very frequently buy physical. I love actually owning discs/carts, even if digital is technically more convenient. But I'm just absolutely fed up with the delistings and other bull 💩 limitations that come with digital. It's also mentally easier justifying dropping $90 on a new physical release than a digital release, for example.
@Hwatt I also provided context; lifelong Toronto resident, have never had any major safety-specific issue with Y&D. Sure it's annoying like with the religious zealots and transient individuals who hang out there endlessly, but those sorts of things are just a regular fact of life now. We created this. We could do something to address it and not complain endlessly, but there's no socio-political will at any level to actually address it, soooo...🤷♂️ I still have to live my life, and that's exactly what I try to do everyday.
Enercare centre is fine, though less convenient to access to transit users like myself, compared to Eaton Centre. 🤷♂️
@Hwatt I have friends who live in those areas. You originally said Dundas Square. I've been there countless times and never felt unsafe. We can cherry pick all day until the koopas come home.
@BoFiS Uhhh, that's incorrect. You can earn them every week just by using your switch, assuming you have NSO. Also, log in to my Nintendo and claim the free 30-40 weekly coins from the website.

Wow, 50. Not 49. Not 51, just to be "edgy" like IGN's trend. Shocking.

Re: Banjo-Kazooie Composer Has "Zero Hope" For A New Entry
@N00BiSH It's not a series I have played so I can't attest to it. True that It was well-received, but it just never looked appealing to me.
Re: Banjo-Kazooie Composer Has "Zero Hope" For A New Entry
Microsoft completely squandered their purchase of Rare. Let most of the IPs die, or made terrible entries, like Perfect Dark Zero. Sad.
Re: Oops, The Next DOOM Game's Release Date Appears To Have Been Leaked
@LikelySatan The campaign is on the card. Multiplayer required a download, IIRC.
This is what's VGPC currently says. It's considerably less than the LRG's release of Eternal. https://www.pricecharting.com/game/nintendo-switch/doom
Re: Oops, The Next DOOM Game's Release Date Appears To Have Been Leaked
@LadyCharlie Noted. However, I do not, for a multitude of reasons.
Re: Oops, The Next DOOM Game's Release Date Appears To Have Been Leaked
@LadyCharlie Or even better, a standard retail release (like Doom 2016) , not a limited scumfk release. 😉
