There should be much harsher penalties for white collar crime, such as insider trading. It's ridiculous that theif A who robs 50 bucks from a convenience store gets treated worse than theif B who embezzles millions, thus affecting multiple individuals. White collar crime, and the special treatment high-status people receive, is the true dredge of modern society. Naka deserved a much harsher sentence. "Tough on crime", my ass.

I've still got a few unplayed 3DS titles, and I finally just got a physical copy of Detective Pikachu yesterday, lol. Indeed, a new 3DS release is always welcomed. 🙂

@PJ301178 I would love and definitely hope they include that, although it will increase the cost of the system a little bit. 🤔 However it might be worth the price if Nintendo believes people will still pick up the myriad of switch games that are already available. BWC adds a lot of value.

@Jam78 That's completely fair for a used game, but having brand new, sealed, unused games expire after 12 months and unable to earn gold coins, yet buying digital still grants them, is absolutely ridiculous.

@Jam78 To be fair? It's widely known they have a system which gives gold and platinum points for various activities. My point is valid that digital buyers receive some advantage over physical buyers with regard to coins. What an incredibly asinine response. 🤦‍♂️

@arabiansanchez I agree, that would seem like a stretch. Also, a few of the games I have I didn't claim the platinum points, due to them being either used games, expired new games, or from a different region. 🤦‍♂️

Nintendo really prioritizes and encourages people to buy digital nowadays, what with earning more gold coins, and no fear of a games' coins expiring after 12 months after release. Its such a BS reward system.

@MythTgr It's only been a few months since MP1 Remaster. We don't even know if MP2 received the same treatment or not. MP4 is still a long ways off. Maybe try having some patience.

@AllieKitsune Dang, that remake released 8 years ago in Japan. Only now is it releasing worldwide. I felt that same happiness when Fatal Frame 4 was confirmed for worldwide release after waiting 10+ years.
I've never played Star Ocean but I'd probably like the sci-fi element. Enjoy.

Me too. Plus, many people have not played these games, or haven't played them in a decade or more, especially old AF games like Mario RPG. Personally I love remakes/remasters. Why not make an already fantastic game even better, PLUS more accessible on modern platforms? 🙂

It was pretty good. We got Mario RPG Remake, Pikmin 1 & 2, Mario: Acid Trip Edition (Wonder), new Peach game, new Detective Pikachu, enhanced port of Luigi's Mansion 2, and the MGS Collection on Switch. Considering the Switch is near the end of its life, it was a respectable direct.

And Pikmin 4 looks absolutely brilliant, as does SMB Wonder. ❤

@gcunit I don't see the connection between LRG and THQ? One is a decades-old developer and multiformat publisher.

The other is primarily just a publisher of other people's titles with awful wait times, expensive shipping, a perpetuator of FOMO, and an increasing focus on trash titles like Night trap and Bill & Ted. Not to mention not always delivering on what they promise (see Scott Pilgrim), and being complete snowflakes when it comes to criticism.

Konami, a billion-dollar, decades old internationally renowned publisher, using a boutique retailer whose original mission (long since lost) was to bring small, indie titles to physical retail, amidst a sea of established publishers hostile to said small studios.

Truly disgraceful for all involved. 🤦‍♂️

A tailor made version of COD could run on Switch. Wii U did it. Hell, the DS had 5 COD titles.

@Fizza They expire in North America as well. It's a Nintendo problem, not a regional one. It's ridiculous that physical are not only worth less, but that they expire in the first place.

@JohnnyMind I look forward to checking out Wargroove at some point. Always heard great things about it. Just never got around to it. The one thing that kinda put me off was the closer resemblance that WG's aesthetic has to Fire Emblem than it does to AW and its more mechanized warfare aesthetic. I must say that for years, Fire Emblem had, excuse the pun, burnt me out. 🔥
