that's why NIntendo is clueless... 3DS is doing o.k but outside Japan the people who have 3 other friends with 3DS who can get together for playing this thing locally are the minority
does this version still has Ayane as an unlockeable character? I heard getting her chest wobble right was the main priority during development so it would be stupid to cut her from the western version?
is clearly Nintendo trying to make up for the fact that there won't be a new Zelda game on the Wii U (next Zelda main line game would be exclusive to Nintendo's next console)
If a third party said they are not using 3D because the 3DS is not powerful enough to handle it Nintendo fans will lynch then, but because it is Nintendo it is o.k
One thing that needs to be noted about 3D Land is that awesome final boss battle with Bowser.. As great as Mario is, one thing Mario has never been known for is great boss battles (they mostly suck) 3D Land's Bowser battle is the only truly great Mario boss battle
This was the game that pushed me away from Nintendo and convinced me not to buy a N64... from that point on I only bought Nintendo handhelds for pokemon, I wouldn't come back to Mario until they released New Super Mario Bros
this concept sucks since its basically just Tekken with Pokemon... it will be interesting if Pokemon mechanics were translated to a fighting game context and it was 3 v 3 like Marvel vs campcom things like elemental types were factored in... However, if I use a water move against a fire pokemon and it just do normal damage that just feels stupid and out of place
it bothers me that they don't sell this 16 bit versions of the game... I understand they don't sell All stars because they make more money by selling the games individually but they could make it so at least when you buy smb1, for example, you get both the 8 bit and 16 bit versions
I did played as a kid (pirate versions were common on my country) was totally owned by the poison mushroom and later on by the secret warp pipe that sends you back instead of ahead)
and just like that they've lost the hardcore Nintendo fanboys who buy anything as long as it is a Nintendo exclusive, the only people who were likely to buy the game in the first place
this is one of the reasons I don't own a Wii U, they force you to pay for the expensive gimmicky controller I don't want then pay extra for the regular controller I want
there's a a bias against japanese game... sexism comes in many forms, the japanese variety of sexism is that female characters are overly sexualized. However, japanese games have lots of female characters and they tend to have well defined personalities and play big roles in the story. The western version of sexism is that there are no female characters in the games and the few that there are poorly written or too generic in personality...
I think the western version of sexism is worse. However, games like Senran Kagura take all the backlash
weird question... where did you plug the zapper in the original famicom... In my country what we had was a famicom knock off called the family which had player one controller hardwired like a famicom but controller 2 could be umplugged and replaced with the zapper... so I'm wondering how did it work on the real famicom were both controllers were hard wired
not interested in a single game in this list, only upcoming 3DS games I am interested on are Project X Zone 2 and Bravely Second... would be interested in Fire Emblem if it wasn't for the pokemon business model
I can't imagine the number of cartridges that would have been necessary for that prototype if it had released in N64... probably that's the reason why they moved development to Game Cube
Now Nintendo fanboys who until yesterday claimed ZombiU was a great exclusive will start claiming that the game sucks so losing exclusivity over it doesn´t matter
yah I'm o.k with an underpowered console as long as it is cheap... $199.99 is the most I'm willing to pay with an underpowered console that only plays Nintendo first party games... However, unlike the Wii $199.99 has to be the real price and it should have not hidden costs. It also has to has a default controller I want to use as having to pay extra for a controller that does not suck as it happened with the Wii and Wii U was very alienating.
they said the same thing about motion controls in Donkey Country Returns and the fun did not begin until the game was finally released on 3DS with proper controls
it's funny to see how fanboys mind works, up until before E3 you would be flamed for stating that the idea that the Wii U was done and Nintendo was going to move all efforts to its next console... Now after its obvious that's what they are doing most fanboys seem to agree is the best thing to do
