One thing that needs to be noted about 3D Land is that awesome final boss battle with Bowser.. As great as Mario is, one thing Mario has never been known for is great boss battles (they mostly suck) 3D Land's Bowser battle is the only truly great Mario boss battle

This was the game that pushed me away from Nintendo and convinced me not to buy a N64... from that point on I only bought Nintendo handhelds for pokemon, I wouldn't come back to Mario until they released New Super Mario Bros

this concept sucks since its basically just Tekken with Pokemon... it will be interesting if Pokemon mechanics were translated to a fighting game context and it was 3 v 3 like Marvel vs campcom things like elemental types were factored in... However, if I use a water move against a fire pokemon and it just do normal damage that just feels stupid and out of place

it bothers me that they don't sell this 16 bit versions of the game... I understand they don't sell All stars because they make more money by selling the games individually but they could make it so at least when you buy smb1, for example, you get both the 8 bit and 16 bit versions

there's a a bias against japanese game... sexism comes in many forms, the japanese variety of sexism is that female characters are overly sexualized. However, japanese games have lots of female characters and they tend to have well defined personalities and play big roles in the story. The western version of sexism is that there are no female characters in the games and the few that there are poorly written or too generic in personality...

I think the western version of sexism is worse. However, games like Senran Kagura take all the backlash

weird question... where did you plug the zapper in the original famicom... In my country what we had was a famicom knock off called the family which had player one controller hardwired like a famicom but controller 2 could be umplugged and replaced with the zapper... so I'm wondering how did it work on the real famicom were both controllers were hard wired

yah I'm o.k with an underpowered console as long as it is cheap... $199.99 is the most I'm willing to pay with an underpowered console that only plays Nintendo first party games... However, unlike the Wii $199.99 has to be the real price and it should have not hidden costs. It also has to has a default controller I want to use as having to pay extra for a controller that does not suck as it happened with the Wii and Wii U was very alienating.
