Our standard North American Nintendo Download Update this week was shorter than normal, as a result of Nintendo of America postponing the issuing of its formal press release. We were advised of the delay, and it was clearly to accommodate Satoru Iwata's funeral.
The region has now issued the full details, and while our original update had all the new releases, we now have information on the range of discounts for this week. There are some key options from Atlus, hefty discounts from 4 Corner Games in honour of Iwata-san, and more besides.

I always wish Etrian Oddyssey would get a discount in Europe. Colour me envious.
For a penny I guess I should get I've got to run......maybe the boys will like it
Really hoping Ubi bites the bullet and puts Watch Dogs down to $10 as part of their summer sale.
@Stu13 yeah no kidding. It's still ~$30 at retail.
@Gerbwmu
A penny? You mean a dime. I even had to double check, but I will bite too.
EDIT: I stand corrected, thanks everyone!
Etrian Mystery Dungeon is discounted already, and I'm over here eagerly awaiting for it to be released in Europe.
@sinalefa it's one cent on the Wii U eShop, 10c for the one on 3DS. They posted a nice message on Miiverse regarding it, it's in honour of Iwata-San passing
@MJKOP
Thanks my friend. I just saw the text in NL that said $0.10.
I wonder how many people will think it's a mistake lol. Fair play to them, have no idea about the quality of the game but it's a nice gesture. I've downloaded Balloon Fight in memory of the great man, really enjoying it. Iwata-San, my six year old daughter was playing it today, I hope that pleases you!
@Yorumi you're kidding right?
I had no interest in I've Got to Run but for 1 cent on wiiu and 10 cents on 3ds I might as well get it. Watch this game go to the top of the charts this week because of that.
Nice for the person who made this game though to put in on sale in honor of Iwata. Even if it was not selling well (most likley the poor review scores if that is the case) it takes a lot of character to do that and I can respect that.
Interested in Etrian Mystery Dungeon, but I'll wait until it's $20 before buying. I'm in no hurry to buy it because I still have a few Atlus games on my 3DS that I haven't even started.
Atlus demo for me
@MJKOP you know , the game was worth the 1.99$ . It has colorful graphics and a lot of game modes , and even runs at 60fps , so now for 0.10 and 0.01 it's DEFINITELY worth it .
Hm sounds nice ,but none of this hardly even sound familiar. I'd like to see a good VC sale soon. That's about all I use the eshop for anyway.
@sinalefa - they couldn't even add tax because of the low cost......so 1 cent was all it cost. I played it for about 5 mins. Maybe I will play it again one day.
Oh crap is the persona game still on? I forgot all about it!
why can't Nintendo have good sales... I'm not asking about sales on par with steam, just sales on par with Playstation and Xbox
Now this is what I'm talking about!
I don't expect a huge amount out of the weekly eshop updates but even I was disappointed with the original update. Half the time I find nowadays that I'm more excited about the sales and demos than the new stuff going up and I was really disappointed when it originally looked like there were no new sales this week.
Now I'm definitely going to download the Untold 2 demo and possibly Fairune for that discounted price.
For $0.01 I'll give I've got to run a try
It is sad how I'm hesitant to buy "I've Got to Run" even if it is just a penny? XD
@Obito_Sigma Very lol. I don't care if the game is amazing it simply has to be with a single penny!
Can anyone see the Etrian Odyssey Untold 2: Café Theme
Hatsune Miku: Project Mirai DX themes? Not showing up for me...
Correction! I see the Etrian theme but not the Hatsune Miku theme.
My reaction to the title: When isn't Atlus leading the way with eShop sales?
@Mr_Zurkon It's only $9.99 for Xbox One.
I guess I'll get both versions of I've Got To Run!
Oh hey, Squid's Odyssey is on sale.
@russellohh I can't see any of the 3...
I think i've got to run was worth the penny. Even got the dime version on my 3ds for fun.
@ThomasBW84 - Shall I grab you these prices?
I would buy Soul hackers for that price in a second, if it were in Eu
I got Soul Hackers because of the review. I hope it's worth it
Anyone who hasn't picked up Fairune yet and enjoys old-school RPG's and games like Half Minute Hero should pick it up now; it's one of my favorite 3DS eShop games and definitely worth a try at $2.
I'll try out EOU2:TFK
@LztheQuack all megami tensei 3DS games are worth you're money and then some
DARN YOU ATLUS! First you discount Persona Q just after I bought the game, and then you make a sale on the LE. You're trying to spite me for not buying new/launch?
That Ubisoft sale has my attention since i never got Child of Light. Time to ready my wishlist.
I'd love to get Etrian Mystery Dungeon but it's just not the choice atm
