I'm not clear, does this have a save anywhere feature? that's probably what I need to finally beat this games (never could as a child) would be downloading anyways, love Ecco and for some reason underwater is the one thing that really works well with 3DS 3D effect

Re: Feature: Why I Love Import Gaming

DualWielding

One thing some people fail to understand that import gaming may be a choice for people in major markets who want to play games not available in their regions but in many countries, in Latin America, Asia, Eastern Europe, Africa and the Pacific, you are forced to import game because games are simply not available in your country at all or only at outrageous prices... and with region locking Nintendo also forces you to import games if for some reason you moved to a different region

Re: TIME Lists Its Reasons For Picking Wii U Over PS4 And Xbox One

@Einherjar

Atlus didn't go broke, its parent company did and had to sell Atlus because it was one of its few money making divisions....

The thing is if developers don't want to invest in next gen looking games for Xbone/PS4, they can continue making games for 360/PS3 and maybe also port for the Wii U, but making games only for Wii U makes no sense, its as expensive as making games for 360/PS3 with a much smaller install base... That what I mean about third party support, I don't think Wii U would get third party games that are not available in last gen consoles, so it doesn't offer anything but first party games to those who already own a 360 or PS3

Re: Nintendo 3DS Guide: Louvre Is Region-Free

@Uberchu

After the New update comes once you register a NNID you would be unable to change the country of your 3DS, physical games would continue to be just region locked but digital games would become country locked ... Nintendo would allow to purchase games without an NNID for a while so you can spend any remaining money you may have in different currencies but they are adamant on country locking everyone and if you want to download a demo or free app you'll need to register NNID and become country locked.... That policy cannot be explained as anything other than wanting to screw customers in order to get back at them for complaining about region lock

Re: Nintendo 3DS Guide: Louvre Is Region-Free

DualWielding

If the system support region free the Nintendo should allow third parties to decide whether to region lock their games or not, I'm sure most third parties would choose not to region lock as it happened with the xbox 360 and ps3 who let third parties decide

Versus is hack n slash, (dynasty warriors) I prefer the classic final fight style of Burst, loving the game so far, and I'm not really into Ecchi, I can recommend the game to anyone who likes 2D beat em ups

Re: Talking Point: The GamePad and its Role Defining the Wii U

DualWielding

the other problem with the gamepad that the article failed to mention is that you can't have more than one (because it is too expensive) which is a bad idea especially for Nintendo who focuses in local multiplayer... For example developers of SSB U have acknowledged that they couldn't use the gamepad features for anything because only one player would be having a gamepad while the other 3 would be holding wii-remotes or CCP

@8bitforever

With every generation a new dominant genre arise in a way that could not have been predicted beforehand, I don't think first person shooters would continue to be as dominant next gen as they have been in the seventh gen... What would take over, however, I have no idea

Re: Pokémon Bank Pricing Emerges For Europe

The question I have since day one is how is this supposed to work, is it a real cloud thing that you can log in with password and username from any 3DS or is like everything else Nintendo where you lose your pokemon if you lose your system...

Re: Talking Point: The Nintendo Network ID Creeps Ever Closer to Being Fit for the Modern Age

DualWielding

@Nico07

Country locking, granted the PSN IDs are country locked and Vita only accepts one but if you unlink your ID from Vita and wipe it out to link a new one you don't lose your content forever you can link your old ID again in the future..... I would not be complaining if the country locking came with the feature of being able to retrieve your games if your consoles gets stolen or lost or broken but Nintendo at this points is bringing all the drawbacks of an account system without any of the benefits and would require you to register an NNID to download demos and freeware for no other reason that because they do want their customers to get county locked

@Nico07

Backward compatibility is understandable they couldn't get it to work..... Although I still don't get why they are going witth the cloud for ps 1 and 2, ps3 I understand but ps1 and ps2 should be handled by local emulation....

About the video and mp3 yah that sucks, but at least they already backtracked and promised to add mp3 funcionality in a patch, probably video funcionality will come as well if people continue to complain..... On the other hand see how NIntendo acts, if these was Nintendo instead of acknowledging and addressing the complains they'll just ignore or even worst retaliate with additional restrictions as they are doing now.

@Bliquid

Yes I see your point, I guess part of the problem is that the policies don't make a difference to Nintendo bottom line, 3DS is so awesome and has so many exclusives games not available anywhere else that people will still buy them no matter what and Wii U has so many problems like price, no third party support no power ect, that getting in the times with their policies would barely help sales improve so they can continue to screw their customers for lols without any real penalties
