@SparkOfSpirit Nitnendo seems to get DLC on the Wii U but its DLC offerings for the 3DS has been up there with the worst of money grabbers

I don't have a Wii U and dont' care about Mario Kart but fair is fair, the 11.99 pack is one of the best value for money I've seen in a DLC offering from any company and a huge step up from the rip offs Nintendo tried to pull off with Fire Emblem and NSMB2

Wii U is just too expensive for a secondary console, it'll be worth it at $199.99 with a free game, but not at more than that.... and the 3DS and Vita are both better options for secondary console than Wii U in my opinion

The prices are high but the main problem is that Nintendo never has good sales, I wouldn't mind if they initially offer a NES game at $5.00 to milk the hardcore if I knew I'll be able to pick it up for $0.99 a few months later, but no, Nintendo think $3.89 for NES game its sale

Nintendo's discounts are pathetic, I've bought games from the PSN just because the sales prices were irresistible, I have never seen a single sale for Nintendo when the prices make me impulse buy

releasing for Wii U wouldn't make sense, releasing for 3DS will make lots of sense

Nobody thought it would dominate Japan, everyone knows Handhelds dominate Japan. However, it'll probably be the best selling home console in Japan once games come out for it

honestly the 3DS was my favorite console of 2013 but has been dissapointing this year, except Bravely Default (who came in Europe last year) no 2014 3DS title has picked my interest

my dream game would Bravely's Default gameplay without the Chibi Art style

Only Nintendo can sell this for $39.99 and get people to buy it, any other company trying to sell this for more than $19.99 would get laughed at

guess they'll fix "the miracle never happen" and that's it..... I would have preferred it being 19.99 but I'll pay the 29.99 because I want to play my part in ensuring future installments get localized

Exactly people used to say you could not compete against pirates because you could not compete with free, but steam managed to do exactly that, their prices are low enough that most people now prefer to use steam for sake of convenience instead of pirating

PS3 has it and Vita has it and subscriptions are not mandatory for those systems... not to mention, Google, Apple, Steam, Amazon and about every single trader of digital goods other than Nintendo... No Nintendo has no excuse for their tying games to hardware practice

Nintendo's sales are pathetic compared to Playstation ones (not even mentioning Steam) they have never offered any sale where I feel like I'm getting a deal

@IxC Although I generally agree, I think there are some hardcore NIntendo fans who had only Wii, got Wii U got introduced to franchises such as Batman, Assasins Creed and Mass Effect and now want to get a PS4 to play the next installments on those franchises

I would be interested in this game if it dropped the shooting part and was all Melee action, the Melee looks sick but everything else is generic

what exactly classifies Mario Maker as a casual or family game? I guess it could be considered a 'social' game but they haven't explained how the social sharing features will work

@Zach777 to be fair... that's what cross-buy is by definition and what Sony refers to as cross buy..... buy one game get a second version for another platform free.... the other thing Sony has with PSOne and PSP games is not called cross buy because you only buy one game that is playable in multiple platforms

Its not so clear cut.... You don't normally carry all your physical games with you but you do carry the 3DS with all the digital games... plus its not only the issue of stolen, its also the issue of the system simply not working because you dropped it or something... As I explain if you are in the U.S its easy to say just send the system to Nintendo, their customer support is so nice ect..... but what about those of us in other countries, importers and people who move around.... you can blame us from buying games from the eshop when the eshop does not officially support our countries but we just want to access games at a reasonable price or games that would not be accessible to us at all since they are digital only.... the reality is that if something happens to my PS3 and Vita no matter where am I in the world I know I can buy as new one and redownload my games.... in the case of Nintendo I don't know..... and that for me is unnaceptable I really don't get why they can't simply provide the same service as any other digital store

However, you still lost the game forever if your 3DS gets stolen which is a bigger problem than whether games are cross buy.... I don't get why people seem to worry more about cross buy than the ability to retrieve games which is more important

the success of this game was on its pricing by being $1.99 from the start it made a name for itself as the best value on 3DS, almost every review was perfect because you really could not ask for more for $1.99 other games with similar lenght and scope try to start at something like $5.00 and then reviews complain about how the game was short ect... then they try to drop the price or make sales but then they don't sell as well because they don't have so many reviews praising them

Nintendo main problem is that they never break out of certain tropes, cartoony art style, excuse plots and caricature protagonists

People need to stop with the Xbone has smaller install base thing..... Xbone gets games because developers make games for PS4/Xbone/PC simultaneously all which share the same architecture so it doesn't make sense to exclude Xbone when it doesn't adds too much too development cost.....

Simple, the Wii U sales are just not bad, but whatever sales the Wii U has are concentrated in Japan and USA, Fifa does not sell in Japan because the Japanese league and the Japanese National team are the two exclusive licences Konami actually owns, so PES sells better them, and football is not that popular in the U.S. Wii U is virtually a non entity in Most European and Latin American markets which is where the game would sell best

If the sharing system is as good as Little Big Planet I may buy a Wii u for this (not interested in making things but a new Mario level everyday would be too awesome to pass)
