Out of nowhere, it appears that the end of 2023 has been shadow-dropped. Who saw this coming? It's, like, September now, isn't it? Apparently not.

Since it's the so-called "end of the year," we thought that it would be a good time to look back on how much we all remember — because it has been a rather packed one, when you think about it. The best way to do that? A quiz, of course.

Yes, we have assembled a host of questions all to do with 2023 and its games, and we've even sprinkled in some festive-themed questions for good measure ('tis the season, after all). Can you remember what went down in Nintendo Land this year? Test your memory below!

6 out of 15. Lol. Oh well. I didn't play most of Nintendo's games this year, only Tears of the Kingdom and Scarlet DLC.

I always fail hard at these quizzes and this one is no different....4/15

Nintendo was behind 14 different games this year. In release order, they were as follows: Fire Emblem Engage, Metroid Prime Remastered, Kirby's Return to Dream Land Deluxe, Bayonetta Origins, Advance Wars 1+2: Re-Boot Camp, Pikmin 1, Pikmin 2, Everybody 1-2-Switch!, Pikmin 4, F-Zero 99, Detective Pikachu Returns, Super Mario Bros. Wonder, WarioWare: Move It! and Super Mario RPG.

That stat alone is incredible, more games than what Sony and Microsoft have put out combined over the last 5 years 😅

14/15 here. I admit I completely guessed the 'number of peaches' but I still got it right. 😝 Also, when I tried to count the number of Nintendo published games I got 15 which wasn't an option. Maybe it's whether you count Pikmin 1+2 as one game or two? 🤔 Or Maybe Bayonetta Origins didn't count for some reason? I guessed 14 because I couldn't think of 16. The one I got wrong was the bird in TotK because I haven't actually played TotK.

@ygorapBFR I counted 15 too. I checked the Nintendo games wiki page afterwards to sanity check myself and they only had 14... but they didn't have Everybody 1-2 Switch. Apparently there were so many Nintendo games they are hard to count.

9 out of 15 for me. Forgot that the Switch has already sold more than the Wii. Didn't think WarioWare Move It had that many microgames.

Good thing there wasn't a question about how many times Shiver won a Splatfest in Splatoon 3 this year or else my current avatar would spoil it.

2023 was overrated beyond belief I can bring up 5 years in gaming that were way better than 2023 people have hardcore recency bias

@ygorapBFR @FishyS It all comes down to how you count Pikmin 1+2. You can count it as 1 release as it was a bundle of both games or you can count it as 2 releases given you could buy them separately on the eshop. I counted it as 1 which resulted in the same total number they did.

I have xbox series x and switch. I am not a fanboy to any company. I play what I like and I have to say that2023 was one of the best gaming year. Baldurs gate 3, Allan wake 2, Resident evil 4 remastered, spider man 2, Forza motorsport, Starfield,Everything was great. From the other side Nintendo had great titles as Mario wonder, pikmin 4 Mario rpg. But personally my best game for 2023 was TOTK. A great and beautiful game. One of my best ever games. I played bg3 for 30 hours and I left it. BG 3 is a very good game but for hard core rpg gamers. From the other side I closed 160 hours on TOTK and I still play it. I can’t get bored of this game!
