It's really nice to see that society has reached a point where this kind of representation can be included without censorship in a major Nintendo game. Hopefully it will help teach the kids who grow up playing this game to be understanding and accepting of trans people in real life.

OK, but I see from one of the screenshots that an onscreen onomatopoeia of 'DONG!' comes up when you hit an enemy - surely that almost makes it worth playing?

I actually completely missed Ms Mowz (there's a tongue twister there somewhere) when I played this game and didn't even know you could recruit her until afterwards. I think it's really cool that there's an entirely optional companion; I really need to replay the game at some point and find all the stuff I missed the first time. (Not planning to buy the Switch version for the time being though - I'm lucky enough to have a GameCube copy, might as well use it!)

For Splatoon 3 that's good that you can now post without going through social media, but it's a shame Splatoon 2 posts seem to be going away completely.

I'd be happy about this if it wasn't a limited release.

Babylon Zoo in the trailer is one way to get my attention. Gun-toting guinea pigs are another.

I haven't played the Wii games and I'd quite like to check those out first. If I like them I'll get this eventually, as long as it's not too heavily online-focused.

Most of my game time at the moment is going towards online games on 3DS and Wii U before the servers shut down. It's been fun going back to them, and it's a shame so much content will be unavailable after next week, especially for games like Splatoon and Mario Maker where the online is the biggest part of the game. But at least people are working on preserving it in an unofficial capacity.

I'd have to say Breath of the Wild just because exploring open-world Hyrule for the first time was genuinely magical and revisiting it was never going to be quite the same, even with all of Tears of the Kingdom's new bells and indeed whistles. Both phenomenal games though.

Nice that they've included the N64 Transfer Pak characters! I bought this on 3DS years ago and still haven't got round to playing it, but looks like I'd be better off playing it on NSO instead (um, at some point).

I was just thinking this morning about Sonic Rush and how I haven't heard anyone mention it in years, so it's a bit spooky to see it on the front page now!

To answer the question, I still use my DS and 3DS so the only games from them I'd really be interested in getting Switch ports would be those that have become too expensive to buy in their original form. My number one pick would be the DS remakes of Dragon Quest 4-6. I've played Hotel Dusk but its sequel, Last Window, is a bit pricey now so I wouldn't be opposed to a Switch remake of the duo like they did with Another Code. And, while I very rarely buy ports of games I already own, I would be tempted by an HD version of Kid Icarus Uprising.

Hadn't heard of this before the Switch port and the footage in the Direct didn't really grab me as I had no idea what it was actually about, but based on this review it's definitely going on the old wishlist.

I know this isn't the first time Atlus has done this but an enhanced rerelease on the same platform the game was originally released, with no way to buy the new content separately for people who already own the game, is baffling to me.

New games please. There are enough ports and remakes coming out at the moment. (I wouldn't say no to Mother 3 though.)

I haven't played the game, but ending development after six years of mostly free updates in order to focus on a new game seems fair enough to me?

Nice to have the first game available on Switch but it being this specific version untranslated makes it incredibly n̶i̶c̶e̶ niche (edit: glad I reread this comment and realised it made no sense!!). That title alone is going to come across as complete gibberish to 99% of people.

@B_Lindz It definitely could use more polish and I agree the 3D platforming can be frustrating, but I honestly still think it's a fun game and really impressive for a game made in a week(-ish).

That's a shame honestly, I haven't used it much myself but I think it's good for kids to have a safe and free way to watch the anime. When I was a kid I watched hundreds of episodes via unofficial uploads on Vimeo, I think it was, but I doubt those are still up...

I had no idea this was a survival game, I assumed it was just a Lego-fied battle royale variant. If I had friends who played it I'd be happy to give it a go. But although Fortnite is a fun game from what I've played of it, they add so many new modes and events at such a breakneck pace, many of which bear increasingly little resemblance to the original gameplay, that I find the whole thing a bit too exhausting and baffling to keep up with.

Kind of interesting how the North American boxart makes the game look more violent and it has a 10+ rating over there, while the European boxart is more peaceful and it gets a 3+.

I have a feeling Switch 2 won't be compatible with Labo. The only Labo set I own is the basic version of the VR kit but I can't stand the thought of permanently locking myself out of playing it, so I'll probably keep my Switch for those occasions every few years when I feel like blasting a cardboard cannon

@Coolell2016 Not any more - new episodes have been airing on Pop recently, and the BBC also has some of the older seasons.

Happy birthday NL! I've been here for very nearly half of those years, unbelievably, and in the absence of ONM this site is the best source of Nintendo news and reviews I've come across. The Zelda movie announcement is a pretty good 18th birthday present!

@Daniel36 Ha yeah, I can definitely understand not having the time for every game (I'm waiting until Christmas to get both this and Mario Wonder, partially for that reason). At least WarioWare is good for playing in short bursts though. If you've never played any games in the series I would recommend giving one of them a go - it's one of my favourite Nintendo series - but if it's just not for you that's fair enough.

Surely it can't be DQX Offline because that already exists in Japan, so they wouldn't be recording new dialogue for it in Japanese? Unless it's an expansion or something, but that wouldn't necessarily indicate a localisation is coming.

I wish the KOTOR games would get a normal (not limited edition) physical release. I'd like to play them but that file size...

I'll be keeping my Switch regardless, but Nintendo and other publishers have built up such an expansive library of classic games on the Switch that it would be absolutely insane to throw all that away and have all those games need to be ported again for them to keep being sold.

@censwordship I for one was curious about this game after seeing the physical release on an online shop, so I appreciate the review. And what would be the point in only reviewing games people have already heard of?

@Bluelink45 Same here, I enjoyed the game but haven't got round to most of the post-game stuff and the DLC is expensive so not sure when I'll buy it if at all.

@Greatluigi Rayman games tend to be very cheap secondhand in my experience.

I'm also suffering a bit from TotK overload - I love the game but there's so much of it! I've just started Pikmin 4, which also feels like it contains a lot of game (compared to previous Pikmins at least) and I'm starting to really appreciate it being split into short days so I can just do a day or two at a time and still make progress. (I suppose TotK has days as well, but it would be a bit weird to just take a break every time it hits sundown.)
