Re: Review: Red Dead Redemption - A Fine But No-Frills Switch Port, For A Fistful Of Dollars

The GTA trilogy backlash wasn’t due to the art style changes as much as the constant bugs and graphical hitches across all platforms. The backlash here is that it is a well made port but for the same price it had at launch over a decade ago now. Meanwhile you could buy this on the Xbox store for much cheaper due to backwards compatibility. If this were 20-30$ there wouldn’t be a problem at all and it’d likely sell well but at this price point it’s a hard sell especially to those who have other platforms.

Re: Talking Point: The Games We Got Rid Of - What Were We Thinking?

Deemo37

I didn’t get rid of many games so all the retro stuff is fine for the most part. The main things are twilight princess and windwaker along with punch out Wii. I also regret removing my skylanders collection after the series ended. I really regret that one because I had well over a hundred of those and probably sold em all for 50 bucks.

Re: The GameCube And Wii Emulator Dolphin Is No Longer Coming To Steam

@Sambuc
The nearest retro game store for me is nearly an hour away and has the prices extremely jacked up. I refuse to pay upwards of 300$ to pay the fire emblem radience games so I tend to just emulate most hard to find games. If old GameCube games got a modern release I’d be there day one but for now dolphin is there for me.

Re: The Witcher III On Switch Finally Gets DLC Inspired By The Netflix Series

This is something I wish you could do with both gore and sex content in all games it’s not always a bother necessarily but with kids around and everything it’d be nice to have that in an accessibility menu. We’ve made greats strides in game accessibility but for me that’s one that I think would open things up to a lot of people.

Re: Review: Everybody 1-2-Switch! - Family-Friendly Fun That Lacks Longevity

This is ridiculous and I can’t see anybody seriously buying into it. That and having most games require high numbers of players is a ridiculous design choice considering I don’t know any friends who’d want to play this at a party over anything else. That all being said and I believe this was a point made in the article that this is hilarious convention material. Just imagining 100 people doing the hip bump game makes me smile and start looking for conventions nearby.

Re: Nintendo Expands Switch Online's GBA Library Next Week With Fire Emblem

The main things would be Rare’s suite of titles. I realize there’s complicated legality there but Golden Eye made it so it’s possible. Besides that more niche games would be nice. Giving long forgotten series a chance to reclaim the spotlight for a bit would be great. The point is the games are there Nintendo is not putting the effort in to get them on the service. GBA however is a bit more than just a few key titles. Off the top of my head no Wario Land no Pokémon (easily the biggest missing titles) no golden sun and no 3rd party whatsoever. Atlus in particular had a strong lineup I’d like to see represented.

Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (June 10th)

Deemo37

More totk for sure. Nearing the final boss but trying to sweep up side quests. I also purchased a used copy on the og uncharted so I’ll likely boot that up. First time with the series. Finally me and a couple close friends stayed up all night playing Kirby Clash Deluxe for old times sake. Really a fun ftp game

Re: Poll: Will There Be A June 2023 Nintendo Direct?

Deemo37

I’m gonna go against the grain and predict there will be one sometime this summer. Nintendo skipping E3 doesn’t mean much likely a legit direct is cheaper to produce. That’s the real reason E3 died. It’s just much easier. Plus there’s plenty to announce first party including updates on all sorts of dlc. Not to mention Prime 4 and whatever all sorts of developers have been working on. It’s been a while since the in house Mario team has had anything announced plus it’s probably about time Grezzo announces something maybe a 2D Zelda. Combine that with 3rd party content they have plenty to announce if they wanted to. I think there’s still a couple years left in the switch for sure.

Re: Paw Patrol World Brings Open-World To Adventure Bay This Year

@Sunsy
Yeah it’s probably deceptive. I have 3 of these and every single one is a buggy unplayable mess that couldn’t keep a 6 year olds attention. The one based off the movie was particularly bad because the constant crashes meant I couldn’t even help my six year old through the first level.
