@Stamina_Wheel The GTA trilogy backlash wasn’t due to the art style changes as much as the constant bugs and graphical hitches across all platforms. The backlash here is that it is a well made port but for the same price it had at launch over a decade ago now. Meanwhile you could buy this on the Xbox store for much cheaper due to backwards compatibility. If this were 20-30$ there wouldn’t be a problem at all and it’d likely sell well but at this price point it’s a hard sell especially to those who have other platforms.
@Dizzymario I’m not gonna know for sure until it’s out but I’m hoping it’s at the very least a step in the right direction. It is true that 8 kits is too low though we could’ve done with much more.
@Dizzymario I actually disagree this might be the update that saves the game. The meta has been too shooter focused and this gave a healthy influx of different weapon types which is really exciting for competitive. If it comes with a nice and fair patch this could be the strongest update yet.
I didn’t get rid of many games so all the retro stuff is fine for the most part. The main things are twilight princess and windwaker along with punch out Wii. I also regret removing my skylanders collection after the series ended. I really regret that one because I had well over a hundred of those and probably sold em all for 50 bucks.
Does anyone know if the print files are posted anywhere. I’ve been looking to print some sort of TOTK project but I’m not sure what. Corrupted master sword is on the list but this might be fun too.
@Not_Soos It really is ridiculous since a lot of these mechanics are relatively common. Especially recall. There are countless games out there that use time rewinding as a mechanic and it’s silly to block out further innovation on the idea.
@Sambuc The nearest retro game store for me is nearly an hour away and has the prices extremely jacked up. I refuse to pay upwards of 300$ to pay the fire emblem radience games so I tend to just emulate most hard to find games. If old GameCube games got a modern release I’d be there day one but for now dolphin is there for me.
@Mauzuri This is something I wish you could do with both gore and sex content in all games it’s not always a bother necessarily but with kids around and everything it’d be nice to have that in an accessibility menu. We’ve made greats strides in game accessibility but for me that’s one that I think would open things up to a lot of people.
I’ve found that the licensed stuff by outright games tends to be bug ridden bargain bin filler. I mean this could be different but I don’t have high hopes.
Is this worth watching. I dropped out halfway through the first episode because I didn’t feel it was very good but if it got better than maybe I’d try again.
@Arawn93 That is true preorder bonuses show that as well. I feel of all the western game companies the only one I can think of that does physical goodies well is Bethesda and even then they aren’t as big anymore unless you shell out tons of money.
@Daniel36 Pretty much my experience as well. We bought a bunch of the sets that went practically unused and now sit in a box in our basement. Minecraft legos rule though because they fit together perfectly so it’s like there’s a legit Minecraft world.
@Anguspuss That is true that it likely didn’t cost much to make. I’m still curious how much a new kid icarus or star fox would sell today though. Metroids always been one of those niche series too yet those games have been selling well this gen. I’m not sure nintendo will be willing to take the risk though.
This is ridiculous and I can’t see anybody seriously buying into it. That and having most games require high numbers of players is a ridiculous design choice considering I don’t know any friends who’d want to play this at a party over anything else. That all being said and I believe this was a point made in the article that this is hilarious convention material. Just imagining 100 people doing the hip bump game makes me smile and start looking for conventions nearby.
I wish they would make the online play work. I’ve basically dropped the switch version because playing online or split screen is too much of a hassle to make work.
More from the murder of Sonic the Hedgehog. Legitimately one of the most charming games I’ve played in ages and one I still quote sometimes. A switch port would be wonderful.
@Not_Soos Hate to rain on your parade but multiversus isn’t happening. They game that game out was technically an open beta that they shut down after a few months. I doubt it’s back any time soon
I like this stuff and actually homemade similar stuff. I own a 3D printer and as such have made quite a few cosplay style swords and such. I got the Monado from Xenoblade Creator Sword from Fire Emblem and Meta Knights sword from Kirby. I love them all and need to get around to making another.
@coolioam The main things would be Rare’s suite of titles. I realize there’s complicated legality there but Golden Eye made it so it’s possible. Besides that more niche games would be nice. Giving long forgotten series a chance to reclaim the spotlight for a bit would be great. The point is the games are there Nintendo is not putting the effort in to get them on the service. GBA however is a bit more than just a few key titles. Off the top of my head no Wario Land no Pokémon (easily the biggest missing titles) no golden sun and no 3rd party whatsoever. Atlus in particular had a strong lineup I’d like to see represented.
I beat TOTK yesterday and it was fantastic. I likely still have stuff to do in it. I also finished up the original Uncharted and may move on to a sequel if I feel like picking it up. Apart from that I’ll probably go back to Hollow Knight as well as I never beat it.
@coolioam However those three were all remakes I feel like we could do better here. The GBA has my favorite handheld library but the expansion pass is barely scratching the surface. N64 is even worse somehow though.
@Snatcher Not to mention the fact that it’s a rerelease of a game from years ago. Atlus was way to strict. For the plot thing I certainly wish companies would do that. Countless times in both games and movies a YouTube thumbnail has screwed me over.
I have beaten all the regional phenomena and the only hard one was queen gibdos which may be a new least favorite boss fight of mine. Mostly due to my own stupidity I died a lot. Still doesn’t hold a candle to Vaati in minish cap. That boss doesn’t mess around.
More totk for sure. Nearing the final boss but trying to sweep up side quests. I also purchased a used copy on the og uncharted so I’ll likely boot that up. First time with the series. Finally me and a couple close friends stayed up all night playing Kirby Clash Deluxe for old times sake. Really a fun ftp game
Correct me if I’m wrong but these levels aren’t usually 1 to 1 recycled right. I feel like usually they take the green hills or chemical plant theme and make new levels in it.
@nukatha I read the full interview over on polygon and the guy in this article said that the Rito Village shrine was the one he couldn’t find a way to do without the glider.
I’m gonna go against the grain and predict there will be one sometime this summer. Nintendo skipping E3 doesn’t mean much likely a legit direct is cheaper to produce. That’s the real reason E3 died. It’s just much easier. Plus there’s plenty to announce first party including updates on all sorts of dlc. Not to mention Prime 4 and whatever all sorts of developers have been working on. It’s been a while since the in house Mario team has had anything announced plus it’s probably about time Grezzo announces something maybe a 2D Zelda. Combine that with 3rd party content they have plenty to announce if they wanted to. I think there’s still a couple years left in the switch for sure.
@Sunsy Yeah it’s probably deceptive. I have 3 of these and every single one is a buggy unplayable mess that couldn’t keep a 6 year olds attention. The one based off the movie was particularly bad because the constant crashes meant I couldn’t even help my six year old through the first level.
@B_Lindz This reminds me to track down mistborn. My local library only has books 3 and 4 of stormlight so maybe I should just suck it up and buy them. He really is fantastic from his stuff that I’ve read. And unlike some modern fantasy authors he can put out books on time.
@Chibi I forgot about the depths those were tricky. My recommendation would be find a minecart track. If I remember right it leads you pretty close to the temple and then you can climb around.
@JohnnyMind I really wish more games have options like Bayonetta 3 did. As we all push for accessibility for everyone I don’t see why content accessibility shouldn’t be included in it.

Went to a used game store this week and picked up Smash Bros Brawl, Warioware Smooth Moves, Starfox Guard, and Uncharted two so I’ll rotate those.
