I'm still playing Tears of the Kingdom! Trying to get Lynel Guts to upgrade an armor set, but despite beating the coliseum and some other random ones I don't have any yet!
I'm also at the end of the Soul Shrine despite not getting to the one in the desert yet. I found it by trying to get all the shrines in the sky so i'm not sure if I skipped a different trigger for it.

I'm still loving it!! After Nier Automata and Metroid Prime Remastered (plus Gunborg and Ori and the Blind Forest) this has been a great year of gaming for me so far!

OPUS: Echo of Starsong - Full Bloom Edition on my RTX4090.

I'm still playing Breath of the Wild. I have 18 hearts and the Master Sword. With 2 divine beasts done, I think I'm making good progress.

I hope to finish within the next week, take a break with a shorter game and then maybe leap into Tears of the Kingdom.

When I need something a little different, though, I'm still trying to git gud at Project X.

The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom - despite finishing the game earlier this week I still can't put it down! It's just really fun to travel the land searching for stray Koroks to return to their friends.

N64 Online - if I can pull myself away from TotK, I'll play some N64 games on the NSO app.

This week I started a new game: Doraemon Story Of Seasons Friends Of The Great Kingdom. If I would ask Marvelous to develop a game for me, this is what I would get.

On PS5 i will be playing Potion Permit which so far I'm quite enjoying more than I thought I would. I will also be playing Dragons Dogma Dark Arisen again as I never got round to doing the Arisen content when I first completed the game.

On Switch I'm giving Zelda a rest this weekend so instead I will be playing Bayonetta Origins which I hope to complete today, such an underrated game. I will also be playing Splatoon 3 as there's a new Big Run event starting today. And finally I may start Shin Megami Tensei 5 as all the Persona news lately has got me itching to play and SMT is the next best thing to it.

On Xbox I will continue with Hi-Fi Rush and look forward to their showcase.

I'm trying to tackle the backlog. Just beat Cult of the lamb (which was a 10/10 game for me) and now I have more hunger for some sweet combat, so I think I'll boot up Hades and see if it lives up to all the hype.

Edit: Oh yeah it's worth the hype alright!

Diablo IV mostly for me this weekend, with some Lies of P demo and Splatoon 3!

Splatoon 3 for Big Run but will also play some MK8 Deluxe and Theathrhythm Final Bar Line as well as watch the Xbox showcase.

Pokemon XD Gale of Darkness. I've had it sat on a shelf for about fifteen years, but never got round to it until this week. Definitely a worthy sequel to Colosseum so far.

Little Busters! Converted Edition .. Finished Komari's route and now on Rin's first route.

@Aispen Dishonored Collection on Switch would be a dream. Playing the first game would be such a nostalgia trip. I think the second game is my favorite though.

Still helplessly addicted to Tears of the Kingdom.

I've done roughly 80 shrines, yet barely touched the main missions (though I've done my share of side missions).

And it was after about 60 hours into the game that I FINALLY decided to explore my first chasm. I'm glad I waited though as it was nice to go in with plenty of health/stamina.

And I'm absolutely trying NOT to spoil myself in any way. I've gone in blind and I think I've done pretty well so far.

Zelda Tears of the Kingdom and trying to ignore the summer sale!

I've beaten a couple of games since I wrapped up TOTK a couple weeks ago (Ion Fury and Steel Assault). I started up Unsighted a couple of days ago, and got really hooked on it last night. It feels like a mashup of Zelda and Hyperlight Drifter, and I'm loving it so far. I imagine I'll also be playing some Splatoon 2 with my family. My kid is hooked on it (we decided to have her go with 2 instead of 3 since it's less competitive).

I might actually not play games this weekend and go and spend some time outside instead.

Lol nah Tears of the Kingdom for me 🥰 although I’ve also been playing Suikoden and The Legend of Dragoon - really having a bit of a PS1 JRPG revival

I've given up on Tears for now. Made it about 15 hours in but it's just not grabbing my attention. I will go back one day but it's likely to be several months at least. I went through the exact same arc with BotW and did end up finishing it in the end.

So it's mostly SF6, Diablo IV on Xbox and PS5. Both amazing games. On Switch I put the Live A Live cart back in. I think it might be time to finally play it. Really looking for a high quality turn based RPG.

On Switch, Mary Skelter Finale just became my approximate 1300th library item but it and Remothered: Broken Porcelain are technically "backlog investments" (alongside Scarlet Nexus grabbed on Steam for a future Deck playthrough), and I haven't even started or so much as cleared up storage for the first Remothered yet. So the actual sessions look to be shared among the familiar pool of Xenoblade(s) and Fuga, RF5 and Portia, Fuga and DerQ, Mary Skelter 2 and Minstrel Song, likely Cozy Grove and NMS, possibly BotW and AC2, not improbably some RE0 and RE4 although chances are I'll try to focus on 2 and 3 on the laptop first (yup, Deck invariably crashes RE3 after the title screen as well, although unlike the predecessor, it's at least honestly "unsupported" in Valve's eyes)... and maybe some other stuff from Stick It to the Man, NieR Automata and Terraria to Diablo 2, Star Ocean and Plants vs Zombies.

The handhelds may find themselves busy with Valentia, EOU, Endless Frontier, Gravity Rush, SotN and Eternia, although I'm also pondering an overdue Hyperdimension Neptunia playthrough and what to bench for it (I have the game in my library, so loading it on the second Vita would feel counterintuitive but my main unit's 32 Gb card is perennially stuffed😅). Deck will likely be used to juggle the relatively established backlog of Horizon and FFXV, FFXIII and Dishonored, Just Cause 2 and 3, NFS Payback and Mass Effect, Xenoblade X and GTA 4... although other stuff from native Code Vein and Nights of Azure to emulated Xillia, Xenosaga, Eternal Sonata, Ar Tonelico and Fatal Frame has remarkable odds of joining the party as well.

@JustMonika Dishonored (even just the first game but the whole trilogy would be even more awesome) remains on top of my Switch portbegging list alongside Gran Pulse chronicles to this day. If accessing all the aforesaid on Deck these days wasn't enough to change it, you know nothing is.😎😄

This weekend I’m playing Diablo IV (Xbox Series X). I finally beat The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom after 120+ hours, and it has gone down as my favorite game of all time. I obviously haven’t done everything in the game - but I’ll come back to it after a well deserved break.

As for Diablo IV - this is such a great game. I’m surprised by how well it functions right out of the gate. It seems quite balanced in its current state, so I’m interested in seeing how future patches and updates tinker that.

I’m really liking the darker and grittier tone of this game more than I did in Diablo 3, all the while keeping 3’s combat in this game. It’s the best of both worlds. I’m currently playing as a Rogue, and I’m pleased by how fun this class can be. It has such an insane amount of options for the build of your preference. I enjoy being able to attack from a distance, or be up close and personal. If you choose the right skill abilities from the start, you will never be at a disadvantage regardless of your play style.

Overall, I’ve been eating good the past month. Diablo IV will no doubt keep my entertained for months to come. So, bring on Hell, baby.

The mainstream appears to have lapped me while I've been playing P4G (just got into November)! Does that mean I'm ahead of the curve if at least one other person is now claiming it for the weekend?

Sadly, it looks like it will be that way next weekend, as I have to be at work for the next two consecutive weeks.

@Zuljaras you're in for a treat, Castlevania III is by far the best of the NES games, and I think you could argue it's the best until the franchise morphed into its more modern form (styled like 2 but not terribly limited).

Just lots more Tears of the Kingdom for me. I literally haven’t played anything else since it released last month.

I even bought a pack of Zelda Amiibo cards from Amazon for something like £12.99, and they arrived this morning. To my complete surprise, every single one of them worked. Super happy I bought them!

I'm playing waiting for my Switch OLED to arrive on Tuesday so I can finally properly switch to this platform. I have had a Switch v2 for a year now but been mostly limited to playing Mario Party, Mario Kart 8 and Super Mario 3D World with my daughter 😉 rest of the time access to it is limited by my wife and daughter lol. Safe to say I'm hyped!

Bleak sword dx, I have fun playing this on apple arcade a couple of months ago, it's so nice to play it with proper control on switch now, no more touch control for me

Also the game is only $10, I recommend this to anyone who like 2D action games. You can try the demo on steam if you're still not sure about the game.

More Tears of the Kingdom...two temples down and off to top up on some shrines and finish some side quests. Also need to get some more Koroks for slots, I've been largely ignoring them.

Continuing with Etrian Odyssey 1 HD currently at the last floor of the 3rd Stratum. Proper automapping and not being tied to the small handheld screen has made this game so much better in my books, like to the point where I seriously have to consider this for a top games of all time list.

Lake on PS5. Started somewhat sceptical, but it's super relaxing.

Mainly Tears of the Kingdom but have picked up Citizen Sleeper as a wee diversion since TOTK will be a longer term project. Watching my partner play through TOTK too, interesting to see how someone else tackles some of the puzzles

I finally picked up The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, so I’ll be playing that for most of the weekend. Having said that, I will also be playing Pokemon Go, for the Axew community day event. I might also check out Blaster Master: Enemy Below, via Nintendo Switch Online.

Tears of the kingdom still. I still have soooo much to do!

Playing both Nino Kuni Wrath of the White Witch and Pokemon Crystal. Gotta say, WotWW is definitely leaving an impression with it's indelible Studio Ghibli animation and unique battle system.

Finished tears of the kingdom’s story and honestly kinda of uninterested to go back in much. I still will but the game has grown rather dull rather quickly for me with how the world feels like it has somehow become more lifeless than before.

Well, I'm gonna be spending some time on the road, but I don't want to take my brand new Switch with me, so whatever's on my 3DS.

I've got Tri Force Heroes, Hyrule Warriors, Detective Pikachu, Luigi's Mansion (and Dark Moon), as well as Metroid Prime: Federation Force on one microSD card, as well as some Fire Emblem games on another microSD card.

But since I would have to unscrew the backplate on my New 3DS to access it, I'll just have to stick with one microSD card for now. So I'll just keep the one I have in it now.

Series: Waiting for s4 of Halo. Might jump into something new on Monday if the showcase brings any surprises!

PS5: Street Fighter 6. First time playing SF and it's such a good game!

I'll be playing Diablo 4 on PS5 and Zelda Tears of The Kingdom or Pokemon Scarlet and Violet on the Switch.

Well that is if Diablo 4 doesn't have log in issues with error code 300202 and unrealistic queue wait times. Thursday i had wait times between 550 and 700 minutes.

I rolled credits in Zelda earlier this week hoping it would encourage me to play something else, but alas now I am mapping the Depths and cleaning up the remaining shrines. Ten left to go! I'll be good after those are finished. I have been playing the GBA Yoshi's Island before bed each night, completing one or two levels at a time.

Definitely playing some Street Fighter VI ranked matches. Also hoping to finish the final level of Advance Wars 2 which will be 100% completion of both games in Reboot Camp. After beating We Love Katamari reroll in a day, I will probably revisit some levels in that game as well.

40 hours into TOTK. And I feel I've nothing done. Long way to go yet.

Again, someone who's finished a game in which most people loose themselves in for hundreds of hours. Yet, you sound like you're done with TotK asap. How come?

@Vriess it’s not the amount of content that’s the issue for me, it’s something with the story and the mechanics and the overall feeling of the world and characters. There’s a lot less life in the characters and in the main story (which I found so odd since BOTW didn’t exactly put any high standards for story) and the fact a lot of it repeats itself over and over once you’ve seen a lot what the world offers. It’s a very subjective thing and I find it hard to explain in a short way, haha. I’m still enjoying my time with it, this isn’t me bashing the game in a ‘it’s so boring, there’s nothing to do!’ way, but I’m just definitely not in the ‘I’m 120 hours in and feel like I’ve barely scratched the surface!’ camp. I’ve definitely scratched the surface and now I’m seeing how long the rest of the game can draw me in.

Playing TOTK. My backlog is disgusting and will continue to grow as I dump well over 100 hrs into TOTK.

So nice to see @KateGray back! --and also to know I’m not the only one lagging in TOTK. My gaming time and energy has been limited lately, and I’m helpless before this game’s mountains of tempting content and distractions. It’s such a great problem to have! But I need a plan. Maybe go for all the towers this week? We’ll see…

If I have time and feel like a change of pace, I’ll play some recently-delivered shmup like Batsugun, Castle of Shikigami II, or plink things in Obake Shooting Gallery.

Street Fighter 6, course. I don´t need another game. This game is my Game of the Year. Maybe my TOP-1 all life (and I play since 1981).

@Vriess Don't get me wrong, I am still having a blast and the gameplay is as addictive as it was when I started. But I have a bunch of other games that I do want to resume before they're so far in the backlog that I lose interest.

Diabo III with necromancer. I want to finish the last unique season.
And I just got FATAL FRAME: Mask of the Lunar Eclipse and finished prologue. I like it more then Wii version already.

Still playing Tears. I think I’m on the final main quest, so I’ve been doing some other stuff (most of which I probably should’ve done before now, such as Korok Forest😅). My love for this game has not diminished since I started it, and I’m so excited to finish strong!

Pretty much only tears of the kingdom still. I'm getting close-ish to the end. On my way to the last of the 4 regional phenomenon. Absolute banger 10/10.

@Vriess Oh yeah! So I took a week off work when it came out and put in 80 hours then, and I've been dedicating my weekends to it ever since; I live by myself and work is my only real responsibility lol I'm at 140 hours right now with 142 shrines and 98 lightroots found.

The exploration aspect is much more highlighted in BotW and TotK. It's surely enjoyable! But I guess that you're a bit like me, much more into the linear and story driven Zelda games (?).

Wow.... I used to be as committed as you are. The amount of time that you and I have for gaming might be about the same. For personal reasons, I just can't commit like I used to. Like I've mentioned to @Takoda, I think the more story driven and linear types of games are the ones I prefer from now on. TotK is still amazing though!

After finishing Ace Attorney last week...I've been at a bit of a loss as to what to play. Lately I've sort of been jumping between three NES classics: EarthBound Beginnings, Mega Man 1 and Fire Emblem 1: Shadow Dragon and the Blade of Light (all on Switch). All of them are the first games in their respective series, and as it happens, also my first taste of each series for all intents and purposes.

I know that people rarely say to start with the first games of these series, and it's certainly apparent why, but they're fun nevertheless and I fully intend to see them to the end.

Street Fighter 6 for the most part. If I play anything on the Switch will probably be Easy Come Easy Golf.

Straight Kirby and the Forgotten Land for me.

Totk is the only game I've played for a month and I'm not stopping yet.

More totk for sure. Nearing the final boss but trying to sweep up side quests. I also purchased a used copy on the og uncharted so I’ll likely boot that up. First time with the series. Finally me and a couple close friends stayed up all night playing Kirby Clash Deluxe for old times sake. Really a fun ftp game

@Vriess Lineair, no. Story-driven, absolutely, yes. Stories in games always keep me going and interested, and I felt Botw’s story did a better job bringing the world to life than Totk’s does. Because the story didn’t bring life to the world as I played through it, I now have a big map with lots to explore and find, but lacking a bit of soul to actually keep my interest in a lot of it, ah well.
But yeah, story is a pretty big thing for me and I think most TOTK enjoyers probably just came for the gameplay.

I finally did the Wind Temple after 45 hours in Zelda… and five days later than I had planned. But now I’m starting to feel overwhelmed with the sheer number of things to do so I think it’s time to take a break for a bit. The news about Sonic Superstars has inspired me to boot up my Mega Drive and play Sonic 3 and Knuckles again. And then maybe Sonic Generations on the PS3.

LEGO Star Wars II: The Original Trilogy (PSP) - Quickly ran through the first game on PS2, so I can start this today.

Imperia Online (Windows Phone) - Still chipping away with this during downtime.

There's the Big Run on Splatoon 3 going on now, so I'll continue with that; my personal best is over 100 Golden Eggs so far, yet I"m now mainly playing it for the Catalog point bonus.

I may also play Mario + Rabbids: Sparks of Hope and fiddling with some NES games on NSO.

Probably Zelda but maybe I'll mix it up with a little Zelda.

Been playing Hades, hopelessly addicted again even though I still haven’t escaped after about 50 runs. I do make it to the last stage most runs now and have come close-ish to beating the boss a couple of times.

I will be playing my favorite game called homework! Normally I'd try and finish my work before the weekend but this week my professor took a really long time to respond to my emails 😅. It's only one assignment though so maybe I'll have Sunday free.

Hollow Knight achievement huntin’ on Steam

On PC I’m playing SF6 but I’m the Nintendo world I’m playing Yooka-Laylee and The Impossible Layer which I’m really enjoying. It’s a nice mix of casual pick up and play while still being a platform er with depth.

Before starting this weeks entry I just wanna say it’s nice seeing Craig from Pure Xbox on these WAYP’s now seriously it’s like bringing a new friend into the friend group. Anyway for this week it’s business as usual. Gonna chip away at more Fire Emblem Engage tho shocker I’m almost at the end of it. Chapter 24 of 26 I think. Depending on how I beat it and other things I might just go ahead and wrap the rest of the DLC emblems and the Fell Xenologue in so I can say I’m 100% done with Engage. After that I’ll either dip into a new birthday gift or Metroid Prime Remastered as that’s the next release after Engage. Otherwise I’ll be playing some Street Fighter 6 both World Tour mode and battles with the friends. For my birthday not only did I get some really nice pairs of Timberlands and these beautiful replica Aegis necklaces I also did get a copy of Dead Island 2 and a friend surprised me with eshop money for a copy of We Love Katamari. One of my other friends gave me 25$ in PSN money so I’ll be browsing the store looking for a fun game on sale that I’ve been waiting on. What that is? I dunno. Either way I’ve got lots of fun to have with new stuff until FFXVI and Ghost Trick and Rain Code come out. As for the anime front you already know it’s Hells Paradise, Mashle, My Home Hero, and Cafè Terrace. Looking forward to the Capcom, Ubisoft and RGG showcases on Monday. I'm into my second "playthrough" of Nier: Automata, trying to do some side quests as the first playthrough seemed pretty short. I do enjoy the story, philosphy and opinions of the game. The characters, tone and music are pretty neat too. The gameplay however does not keep me engaged. I hope to at least complete the story, then see how far I get with the weapons, side quests and alternate endings.

I’m gonna be working two jobs for the foreseeable future, so probably not a whole lot. Might put some time into Zelda. There’s a copy of Ogre Battle 64 at a hole in the wall out of town, might drive out to grab it and play that a bit.

@Deenroy how well does SF6 run on PC for you? Specs say I’ll be below recommended settings, but the 8 gig VRAM requirement seems a little high for what most people are running.

65 hours later, I can proudly say that after 80 shrines and 115+ koroks, I decided to take on Ganon in ToTK. I feel very accomplished! The hiatus from ToTK starts now!

Been “Switch’in it up” with WH40K Boltgun and Advance Wars reboot. Find they balance each other out. Just wish both had multiplayer/better multiplayer.

@kid_keo I am soooooooooo sorry I didn’t see this before now. Honestly bro I had this wicked Saturday combo of Mashle and Hells Paradise so I would recommend those. Mashle is incredibly funny and Hells Paradise is semi dark but incredibly beautiful.
